Our take on the Infinity Primus PC351

The Primus PC351 features Infinity's exclusive Metal Matrix Diaphragm ("MMD" for short) driver technology in the 3/4" tweeter, both 3" midranges, and both the 5-1/4" woofers. These MMD drivers consist of a stiff aluminum core, anodized on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. The result is extremely fast, extremely accurate response — you'll hear distinctly cleaner, more realistic sound, even at higher volume levels.

Your ears will thank you when you add Infinity's Primus PC351 center channel to your home theater system. It's all thanks to a combination of Metal Matrix Diaphragm® driver technology and a low-resonance enclosure, which help this speaker produce sparkling high frequencies and detailed midrange at any volume level.

I purchased this to replace an older smaller center speaker, it made all the difference in the world in my sound system. Not just for movies but for listening to music as well. Got a great price, very satisfied!

Pros: Big sound, adjusted my center channel balance way down form where it was and it sounds great.

Cons: Just make sure you look at the dimensions and measure for space before you purchase.

Amazing difference

Phattie from Dayton, OH on 1/20/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have previously cobbled together speakers from disparate sources, or most recently used a cheap compact surround speakers, but Infinity Primus speakers blow those systems out of the water. I used some nice home built speakers at one time, but these are better and cheaper. The PC351 is my latest purchase, after getting a great deal on some P363's, I realized that my tiny little center channel speaker needed an upgrade, too. This is easily the best purchase I have made for my home theater. The clarity of voices, even whispering, background voices, is nothing short of incredible. The crystal clarity has allowed me to turn down the volume and can now watch with surround sound while my kids are sleeping! There is subtle expressiveness to voices, particularly heavy with emotion, that was simply lacking before now. Many things happening at once used to sound jumbled and confused, but now each noise seems to move independently in and around the TV screen. The sensation really needs to be heard to be believed. I stayed up most of the night watching DareDevil on Netflix. I was sucked in by the strong acting, now audible because of the PC351. I am convinced of the quality and cost effectiveness of Infinity Primus 300 series speakers.

Pros: Not too pricy Very clear Very powerful

Cons: Large (I needed to modify my TV stand to mount it.)

good to go

frogprinsce from Connecticut on 1/18/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

not much to say. my old center spkr had a range of 50-60hz. Obviously this is better. well built and heavy for its size. great sound. doesn't take a lot to drive. had to change my settings from +5 to 0 or less. the size can be a pain. Luckily i have my tv on a 3 shelf unit. had to place speaker on second shelf., then place 6cd cases on both sides to raise it closer to the tv.

Pros: nice rounded deep sound. Excellent vocals and easy to drive

Cons: size and weight. make sure you can fit this before buying

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great build quality and excellent sound. As said by other, the speaker has some size to it.

Pros: Excellent addition to my surround setup. All infinity primus speakers!

Cons: Big unit. A wall hanging TV or big center speaker shelf is needed.

Superb Middle Channel!

Colten R from Arizona on 1/18/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

No other speaker can match the Primus series by Infinity, dollar for dollar, it's the best speaker out there. Stop looking at other budget middle channel speakers, this one is THEE best. You cannot beat this speaker, trust me and the other 5 star ratings.

Pros: Quality 3-way speaker, great lows for a middle channel. Superb middle drivers for vocals and dialogue with sharp, clean hi's from the tweeter.

Cons: Might over power your other speakers, adjust accordingly.

KOD from North Carolina on 1/17/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great center, i replaced a bose vcs-10 center and it sounds so much better. I can hear dialogue clearly again.

Pros: Great sound quality, clear audio, pairs well with my infinity towers.

Cons: Gigantic center speaker. I have a standard three shelf tv stand which i thought the height would be ample , the center speaker is a few millimeters to big to fit so i need to get a new tv stand. I'm guessing my options are going to be limited since most shelf space is pretty standard.

My hearing isn't so great, but this speaker makes dialogue that much clearer. I don't put captions on as much anymore.

Pros: large enough to place the Blu-ray player on top so everything will fit on the cabinet. Great clear sound

Cons: Doesn't quite match the Infinity Reference bookshelf speakers I have, but I knew that going into the purchase. Still is very much worth the purchase

First speaker purchase

Jacob from Crystal Lake, IL on 7/14/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this center along with two Primus P363's as my first audio setup with real speakers. After unboxing the center, the first thing that came to mind was, "wow this is a lot larger than I anticipated...". After a little shuffle of my TV stand it was no problem though. The center does not have any feet attached to it, it is a solid frame. It does come with stick on feet in the packaging if you want to add them that will raise the profile of the center by a small amount.

Pros: Great sound Price

Cons: Speaker wire terminals are capped and don't accept banana plugs

I bought this center channel speaker from here at Crutchfield. I already Own 2 pair of Infinity P163 bookshelf speakers As front left and right as well as rear channels Left and right in a 5.1 surround system.

Pros: Sound quality For the Money Is Crazy Good for the money. In fact the best I heard up to this point. I own Mordaunt Short Avano 5.1 system. And the Infinity Is Better in Every way you can imagine. Depth, sound stage, focus, imaging ect ect. And still Blooms with sound of Music.. seriously detailed Without becoming, in Any sense word, Analytical...

Cons: None as I have found yet.

Great Center Channel

Just what I was looking for in a center channel. With this speaker being on sale, and offering 2 more speakers than the other center channel speakers made it was an easy purchase. The clarity of the sound as a center channel is awesome and enhances our surround sounds system making it sound like real theater sound.

Pros: Clarity, cost and look.

Cons: None

Fantastic Center Channel Speaker

FLDan from Florida on 4/27/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is an excellent center channel speaker. The clarity and dynamic range make movies come alive. There's no more struggling to understand the dialogue. It feels as though the characters are right there in front of you. I have the Infinity P363's as well, the PC351 is a perfect match. I highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Excellent sound, high efficiency allow for clear dialogue even at lower volumes.

Cons: A tad on the large side! I have plenty of room so it's not an issue for me, just a fair warning to be sure to check your available space.

Size + quality = great sound

TedB from Charlotte, North Carolina on 2/26/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Infinity Primus PC351 has the high end sound quality that you are looking for. I am running it off an Onkyo TX-NR636 receiver, with BIC America PL-89 front speakers, polk audoio OWM3 sides, klipsch rears, and a BIC America PL-200 subwoofer. The highs and mids are able to enhance dialogue and details during movies regardless of your setup. They are truly impressive. It is larger than other center speakers, but that is part of the reason I choose it over the competition. If you want big sound, then it sometimes requires a big space. Don't be fooled by smaller "compact" speakers. They all sound like cheap laptop speakers. I would recommend the Infinity primus PC351 to anyone.

Pros: Sound quality, design, price

Cons: some might find it hard to fit into smaller theater setups

Can't go wrong for the money

JoeP from Sussex County, NJ on 1/29/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I ordered this to replace a decades-old and failing Boston Acoustics 525v for my center channel, and couldn't be more pleased! Crisp, clear sound; tight midrange and bass, and handles loud special effects with no problem. Powered my oldie-but-goodie Yamaha R-V1103, I'm very happy with the way this speaker blends with my Magnaplanar SMGa front mains.

Pros: Soundstage and sound quality, high-quality build with rubber speaker surrounds, great value.

Cons: As others have said, measure your planned placement position first, but that's common sense!

Surprising value

Picky from California on 1/25/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Open sound impressed for a speaker at this price, even more so since it is a box. Compared many centers with white noise and non other at comparable price matched the PC351 and many others costing lots more didn't even come close. While there are reviewers claiming it is big, it is remarkably small for an open sounding speaker that comes very close to matching dipole panel (read BIG) designs.

Big sound from a Big Center Channel! Fair warning, if you don't have a lot of space, this this isn't for you! IT'S A MONSTER! Took a little time for the break in, but overall this thing is crisp!

Pros: Great sound from a mid-level center.

Cons: BIG BIG BIG!!! This thing was larger than expected, but luckily for me, there was enough room for it.

Amazing Center Speaker

Christopher M. from Connecticut on 7/7/2014

I purchased this unit to integrate with my Infinity Primus bookshelf speakers and subwoofer. The sound is amazing. I'm hearing things much clearer and viewer focused than with the just the front speakers. It completely changed my home theater system. I would highly recommend adding a center channel to those who don't have one yet. The speaker is big, so if you're limited on space you may want to reconsider another speaker model. I made it work by placing it on top of a TV stand (which is on top of a dresser). The dimensions for that stand are 15.8 x 23.6 x 9.2 inches and weighs 15.8 pounds. The max weight limit is rated at 60 lbs. The speaker fits perfectly on the top shelf, with my receiver on the bottom. Hope this helps someone!

Pros: Sound Solid build quality

Cons: None.

This center speaker changed everything

Duck Bill from Eugene, OR on 5/5/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This center speaker changed every listening experience, from LP records, Pandora, TV, and movies. It replaced what I thought was an OK center speaker. It matched up perfectly with my Bose 301 fronts, 201 rears, and 161 upper front speakers. This Infinity 351 brought my entire system to a higher level. It is big and heavy, and I did need to replace my home theater cabinet, so know the measurements first.

Pros: Sound enhancement to every audio performance.

Cons: None.

This is probably one of the best center speakers you can get, I have an old JBL Northridge 5.1 set up. The center was a 3 way and not bad, but it was starting to look rough. When I first hooked this up the center channel seemed to overpower the volume from my 125w. front speakers. I had to re-run room calibration which my Denon receiver has, other wise you may need to adjust the output volume to center channel. The center channel is a pretty important part of your 5/7.1 setup, a good center speaker should be considered. The item was on sale, still kind of pricey but worth it I think..

Pros: Full rich sound in a center channel speaker with 2 woofers, mid-ranges and a tweeter.

Cons: Pricey and it's a bit big (long mainly) and heavy, check your measurements.

This is special...

IanB from Montgomery, IL on 4/18/2014

First off, the previous speakers that I have been replacing were JBL and decent on there own... I use this center channel with the matching Primus 363's and 4 in-wall CS-60's. My father in law has a very expensive Paradigm system and this sounds every bit as good if not better.

Pros: Clarity Crisp Diverse Sound Field Tonal Match when paired correctly

Cons: It is quite bit, and there for a bit difficult to place.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Like most everyone else, I love this center speaker! It has the ability to both steal the show when important dialogue goes through it's reigns but knows when to play second fiddle when the surround needs to do its thing! Best of all, the versatility of this product enables it to be paired with higher end systems in addition to quality cost effective systems.

Pros: Wonderful sound quality, perfect for the center channel.

Cons: It's pretty big (is that a bad thing?), make sure you allow for its size.

Clarity and Presence that you need.

Mike from New Berlin, WI on 2/10/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this around black friday with a pair of 363's due to great sale price and then added two more 363's to complete my unexpected upgrade thanks to another price break elsewhere. After 2 months of use for TV, Blu-Ray, Radio, Internet radio, and other various media, I can say this is the best move I ever made. Onkyo 709 is what anchors my living room HT system and the difference from the Onkyo 960 speakers which are about 7 years old was undeniable. If you ever wanted to actually hear all of the vocal details and have hearing loss (I teach percussion) then you will be amazed at what you've been missing. A full and warm soundstage without needing to crank up the volume is the reward. I couldn't be happier that I decided to make another jump in re-building my home theater and will absolutely buy this center channel again for my second receiver in the other entertainment room instead of being satisfied with the Onkyo speakers.

Pros: Looks and sounds great.

Cons: WAF may vary due to the size of the center channel until she hears the difference.

It's one those things you have to hear for yourself as nothing I can say will do it justice. Be warned this speaker is huge but, well worth it.

Pros: Crystal clear sound, powerful

This replaces my Boston acoustics center channel. Drastic improvement of sound quality and detail over the B A center channel. The center channel on my second HT is an Infinity CC3 that I have always liked a lot. This speaker sound even better than the CC3. Excellent value for the price I paid.

I just received my new center channel , its awesome , full rich sound , deep bass , and its loud !!!! Im sorry to say that im replacing my Bose VCS 110 center channel speaker , the Infinity CC blows it away , ive never heard so much sound coming from a center channel speaker before . I got it at a great price , its a scratch and dent , but i dont see a scratch or dent on it , Im using it with an Onkyo 850 watt HD receiver and it matches very well with my other 10 Bose speakers and two Klipsch 350 watt subs , and as always Crutchfield is so easy to deal with , great service and great prices !!!

Pros: A great sounding speak at a great price !

Cons: Its a little bigger than i expected , but i just raised my tv a few inches .

Pros: Sound quality. Blends perfectly with P363's creating the best front sound stage I have ever heard.

Cons: Larger than most. Make sure you have room.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these not as a center, but as a pair for stereo fronts. They are fantastic. But there is a catch, see 'cons' below. I've heard a good number of speakers and bought into Infinity long ago, the very moment I walked into a friends living room "I just knew". That was many years ago, and they have not, ever, disappointed since.

Pros: They just don't make better drivers, anywhere. I've heard about a dozen different Inifnity systems, they all sound about the same... Nearly perfect. For this price, I doubt you can do any better no matter how hard you try.

Cons: Getting a good price. They are all over the place. I paid $199 each on Crutchfield a week ago, now $279. Huge price range, shop around, seriously. On the speakers there is an audble resonance. I pick it up in seconds 10-15 of Fun's "Some Nights". BUT, remember... $199. So, fix them with the mods on the net focused on Infinity's PC363 towers. That should put you in the $2600 a speaker range may friend paid for his speakers. We compared my fixed PC351's with his, and we could tell the dif

I have gone through a ton of different speakers in my setup. This is currently replacing a Bose VCS 10, wow what a difference. A lot of people worry about pairing different speakers in their setups, but honestly this one is paired with JBL 310nd's and Polk Monitor 70's and blends very well. The sound is crisp and clear, and has given a great center stage experience. Crutchfield introduced a price drop on this item two days after I bought it and reduced the price to match. This is a great quality speaker at a great price. I did pay a bit less than the price shown at the time of writing this review. I purchased this for my brother and he is using it as his only speaker, poor guy, he does have a subwoofer as well but I'm shocked how well it sounds in this setup. I have it for my media room which is a 7.2 setup and it is great.

Pros: Great sound, good price, great range of sound

Cons: very little bass, but that is what a subwoofer is for; it is large; I don't like how the cover is, but I'm not looking at when I am watching movies

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We got this speaker to complete out our sound system to get that full sound effect without blasting the TV. So far we have loved it! Not only can we hear everything on the TV we don't have to keep the sound high up so the neighbors can hear us in our home. Great unit for sure!

Pros: Love everything about it, easy to install, set up to our Denon Receiver with no issues, great sound.

Cons: Haven't found any so far.

Excellent quality sound, including at max volume, which is actually very loud!

Pros: I think this speaker could make a home theater on its own!

Very good.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very pleased with the power and clearity of sound. Really brings the dialogue to the forefront, even amongst loud sound effects. Don't look at the absence of a 5 star rating as a detractor, as I only give those ratings to products that are arguably the best of their type. This is a tremendous value for the money.

Infinity PC351BK Center channel speaker

Thundergod from San Diego, CA on 4/16/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The PC351BK was purchased to replace a Dayton CCS-33 3-way Center Speaker. Wow! What an incredible difference in clarity, presence, and overall tonal quality. Now, I hear what prior reviewers stated about this speaker. My system is based on an Onkyo 7.1 with a mixed speaker setup; Sony front floor-standing, Dayton mini-surrounds, Infinity center, and Polk sub. Using various audio modes; Stereo, Neo 6, PLII, THX, I can color music and movies to bring realism to my soundstage. With the PC351BK, watching a movie, I can clearly hear dialog, all while bullets streak across the room, shell casing bouncing off concrete floor, an horrific explosions rumbling in the background. The PC351BK is an amazing speaker. Sure it is big and a bit heavy, but it does an excellent job. My wife use to complain about not hearing the actors voices clearly without having the volume turned up loud. Now, with the PC351BK, even the softest voices come through at a nice clear level. In the future, I plan to acquire the matching Infinity speakers. My thinking is if the Infinity PC351BK sounds this good with a mixed bag of speakers, then it must sound incredible with matched Infinity speakers all around. I highly recommend the Infinity PC351BK center speaker for any home theater system.

Pros: The PC351BK's black cabinet/grille blended perfectly with my black-shelved glass console and all black components.

Cons: The speaker wire attachment posts and position aren't in the best position. I had to use spade lugs, rather than push-in plugs.

Great center speaker.

Cons: It's big.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

i don't have much too compare to but i can honestly say it sounds awesome with a Onkyo 135watts/ channel home theater with a Polk RTi12 fronts. I was afraid i wasn't spending enough money but the sound is incredible. i counld't or wasn't willing to spend over a grand on Klipsch RC64s, but i thought i had to-NOT SO MUCH. this center is doing the work and it only cost a fraction. i was running an older Boston center and now i know what i was missing, almost everything in all the movies i watched. don't make the same mistake and just buy it.

Pros: price and quality, sound

Cons: size, either too small or too large depending on placement

I wish I had gotten this unit sooner. It looks good, sounds great, and appears to be very well made. It's larger than most center-speakers I've seen, and it needs a little extra space.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very please with this speaker. It replaced my center speaker that came with Onkyo home theather package. I manilny bought this to improve clarity of dialogues when watching movies or TV and it is superb compared to the original Onkyo speaker. No need to turn to subtitles anymore ;-) Also, overall sound is so much richer and deeper with this center speaker. I will probably replace my front speakers with ones matching Infinity PC 351 better than the stock Onkyo ones. It is quite big, but i have room for it as will have those who wall mount their TVs and keep speakers on the console below it. Also very happy with service and pricing provided by Crutchfield.

Pros: sound quality, built quality, looks

Cons: was more than $100

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I ordered during the holiday shopping season and was surprised at how quickly I received the product. I did not utilize any special shipping and received the shipment with in three or four days. The sound from the speaker is wonderful. I use the center speaker in conjunction with two forward and two rear infinity speakers. The room is 20X20 and is filled with rich tones with this setup.

Pros: Sound quality and service.

Cons: the speaker is a bit taller than expected but this is more a personal issue than a manufacturing or quality issue. I should have paid attention to the specs and not the percetion of the picture.

Infinity Center Channel Speaker

MCB from Pinckney, MI on 11/17/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I chose this speaker because it is an acoustic suspension design and that it was an Infinity. One of the key things in chosing a center speaker is its compatibility with your existing speakers. I believe that this speaker does this for me. I like to think that I have Infinity's golden age speakers (1980s). My front speakers are RSIIIb (acoustic suspension.) Infinity is a different company now so the brand name isn't the key. First I have to say that any (that I know of) center speaker does not and need not out perform the front speakers. In my case the PC351 can not match my RSIIIb's. The very lows and the very highs are not there. BUT, the PC351 does remarkably blend together well with my main speakers. I did two different types of testing, playing a good wide range jazz CD and test tones (from my Dolby decoder, white like noise). I was very impressed. I never expected such good blending between the speakers. Listening to the test tone smoothly phase interfering between the PC351 and my main speaker, blew me away. (Test: move your listening position (while close) between the speakers and hearing audio wave sound pattern changes when the tone is sent to both speakers)

Pros: Great speaker. Very nice with movies and audio recordings. Maybe compatable with more than acoustic suspension speakers. Perhaps Infinity has gotten back some of their old magic.

Cons: I haven't figured that out yet. Maybe that it is not made in the USA.

A great addition to my audio system

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I'm currently using Bose 301 speakers for the front of the room and Bose 201s for the rear. I had a Polk Audio CS10 for my center speaker but wanted to upgrade. After reading the reviews, choosing the Infinity Primus PC351 was an easy choice, and a good one, too. The sound is bright and clear and exactly what I was looking for.

Pros: Great sound, beefy construction.

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Growing up listening to movies and music through my JBL Soundgear 3030, I have always held Harmon International products in high regard. When it came time for me to finally assemble my own home theater system, I was expecting no less from these Infinity speakers. I've created a system of 4 P363's towers, 2 P163's bookshelfs, a C351 center, and a PS312 sub, all powered by a Harmon/Kardon AVR3650. Being a bargain hunter, I waited for these to go on "sale" to obtain the best price (well this side Black Friday sales prices). I have had the speakers hooked up for about two months now, and all I can say is WOW! The sound reproduction and tonal quality is incredible. Everyone has their own opinions on what sounds good, but ultimately the quality of the sound comes down to the quality of the receiver and the quality of the speaker components. I've utilized various mediums ranging from music, movies and video games, and in each medium, even with works I know quite well, comes alive- whether connected via HDMI, fiber optic or composite. There are qualities to the sound that I did not know existed- that is how incredibly clear the sound is. I would definitely recommend these speakers to someone looking to obtain the best sound for the price, while still having a high quality product.

Terrific Home Theater Center Console Speaker

The Hawk from Longwood, FL on 8/16/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The addition of the Infinity Primus PC351 five individual speakers in the center speaker position in your home theater set-up is outstanding. Before this addition, I was using an Onkyo center speaker with only three speakers. What a difference the sound reproduction of five versus three speakers makes in filling a room. It also provides more adjustable soiund options through your receiver allowing you to spead the bass around better. For the price, this Infinity Primus PC351 is by far the best center speaker that I have ever used. You cannot go wrong with selecting the PC351.

Pros: Five speakers; total adjustability; excellent sound reproduction; excellent price.

Cons: Weight! It was quite a bit more that other center speakers on the market (25+ pounds). Just make sure your shelp can support it without fatiguing.

My 1st center

PK from Burleson Tx on 7/3/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Well, This is my 1st center speaker and its a little bigger than i expected but i didnt just want the minimum either. So i went all the way and i love it despite the size. Instead of placing it on top of my cabinet in front of the tv i placed it under the tv inside the cabinet... worked out perfectly. as far as sound goes it just fills things out so much more with both dialogue and background noises such as birds singing and just normal background noises of life. anyway it sounds great, I highly recommend it.

Pros: Great sound, matches my floors and sub. looks nice.

Cons: Bigger than i thought, but just rethought my location.. worked out great.

A Beast - Love it.

BKautz from Oswego, IL on 2/21/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've owned Infinity speakers for years. I re-purposed my old Reference Series towers for my new home theater set up without reservation. I just needed a center channel that could not only match the front right and left, but keep up. This speaker does that and more. It's as accurate as the RS towers, and nearly as powerful for a well balanced and pure sound. Couldn't beat the price for a great center. I have installed Infinity in-walls to complete my 9.2 surround set up. I've waited a long time for this set up, and couldn't be happier.

Pros: Accurate, Powerful, Voice-matched to both new and old Infinity loudspeakers.

Cons: Not necessarily a "con", but it's definitely a beast. To heavy to hang with one of the more wimpy wall brackets, so it needs a stable surface.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I'm no official audiophile, but since my cousin Jim took me to two HT tradeshows I now know what a Class A $125K system sounds like. Curse him for showing me how great it can be! Oh I have seen the light! They have these demos showcasing systems that test limits of the human ear. Long story short, I was watching some HD movie where glass shattered & I found myself wincing a bit from the clarity - It was awesome! I have five P163 bookshelves, and the C351. Their mids & highs are superbly crisp, vocals are so true you forget speakers are there & the lows are wonderful too. Love my lows (like Flo- Rida) as I already have a powered sub for the heavy stuff. Explosions are very full & lifelike - not at all muddled. I believe the Primus received a C rating in '07 with systems that are $20K. I don't have $20K to spend on speakers, lest I be divorced. But Crutchfield is letting me live the $20K Class C dream at well under $1K! I almost feel guilty. So now I have extra cash to put towards another mid-life crisis, like buying a falcon (as in the commercial) Grab these speakers, can't get a better deal for the quality & they truly deliver!

Driver Technology

Metal Matrix Diaphragm (M.M.D.): Derived from the C.M.M.D. material used in Infinity's flagship Cascade series, M.M.D. features a stiff aluminum core, anodized on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. M.M.D. transducers conduct sound faster than paper, polypropylene, and Kevlar, pushing unwanted resonances beyond the operating range of the transducer. M.M.D. drivers deliver crystal-clear, distortion-free sound from dynamic digital sources, even at high listening levels.

5-1/4" Woofers: The dual 5-1/4" M.M.D. cone woofers offer extremely accurate lower midrange response for cleaner, more realistic sound. For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofers use rubber surrounds.

3" Midranges: The PC351 has dual 3" M.M.D. cone midranges for full, accurate upper midrange sounds. The mids also use rubber surrounds.

3/4" Tweeter: The speaker has a 3/4" M.M.D. dome tweeter that offers superior stiffness and damping compared to traditional metal domes.

Acoustical Waveguide: The PC351's tweeter utilizes an acoustical waveguide to deliver, more even high frequency response, no matter what part of the room you're in.

Precision Crossover Network: The speaker features a 3-way crossover system with crossover frequencies at 650Hz and 2800Hz. The crossover has a 24dB/octave slope.

Matching System: The PC351 is voice-matched to all the speakers in the Primus line, so a complete matching system can be built.

Enclosure Design

Wood Grain Vinyl Cabinet: The Infinity PC351 features a black wood grain vinyl cabinet that matches almost any decor.

Acoustic Suspension Design: The Infinity center channel utilizes an acoustic suspension (sealed) enclosure for tight, accurate midbass performance.

Low Resonance Enclosure: The PC351 employs a extremely low resonance enclosure, so you hear the music exactly as it was recorded.

Grille: The speaker comes with a removable black cloth grille with a rigid plastic frame.

5-Way Binding Posts: The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade connectors, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.

Color-Coded: The speaker's binding posts are color-coded (red/black) for easy identification between positive and negative.

2 questions already asked

I have the Infinity Primus PC351. A really nice speaker! [ James  Dec 11, 2015 ]
We have a very large open living room / kitchen / dining room combination. We've had this center speaker as part of a home theatre system tied to a new Onkyo TX SR838 Atmos system with Klipsch RF82 reference floor standing front speakers. It's been running for roughly 12 months, and the Infinity speaker blends right in and holds it's own. The dual woofer and midrange drivers gives it enough strength to hold up to the power it's fed without distortion and the performance is well balanced. It goes without saying to make sure you have a sub in the system because this speakers works best as part of a complete system. I would buy this speaker again without any hesitation. [ Daniel  Dec 11, 2015 ]
I have this center speaker in my great room. I use JBL towers for the fronts and a Denon receiver for power. I couldn't be happier with the PC351. TK [ THOMAS  Dec 11, 2015 ]
I am unfamiliar with your speakers, but the Primus PC351 sounds great and can fill a room. [ FLINT  Dec 11, 2015 ]
Yes [ LUIS E  Aug 19, 2015 ]
Yes Rodney, you could use them as front speakers if you wish however a more impressive front speaker choice would be the Infinity Primus P363 floor standing speakers. The 363's have a wider frequency response and higher sensitivity rating 93db compared to 91db on the 351's, that will make the 363's louder. The Infinity PC351 was my choice for a center channel speaker, it sounds great. The Infinity P363's were my choice for front and back speakers, after "broken in" they sound amazingly awesome, crisp and clear. Plus the P363's are on sale today at Crutchfield [ MARK D  Sep 08, 2014 ]
I would use this speaker for the center channel only. If you have the system turned up and have the bass a little high it could distort the speaker because there is no port for bass reflex. This speaker works great for the center channel though. I had no issues. I watch tone of movies and this replaced my TV sound. It's night and day. I hope this helped. [ CHRISTOPHER  Sep 08, 2014 ]
