Which Apple device do you have? An iPod? iPhone? iPad? Whichever you have your music on, you still want to enjoy it with great, room-filling sound. And with the JBL OnBeat, you can.
The system's universal dock can handle just about any flavor of i-device. A sturdy support arm holds your iPod upright. But you can also swivel it 90° to hold your iPod touch or iPhone horizontally so you can watch videos or just use Apple's Cover Flow interface. When the dock arm is upright, a provided attachable brace lets you dock your iPad securely at an easy-to-view angle.
Get great sound from your player
Inside the base of the OnBeat is a remarkable compact speaker system. Carefully optimized digital signal processing allows the twin full-range JBL speakers to deliver your music with plenty of detail in a spacious, 360° soundfield.
Want to enjoy our player's videos on the "big screen?" The OnBeat has composite video output so you can connect it to your TV. Watch a movie from your iPad on the TV, while playing the soundtrack through the OnBeat.
From the review JBL OnBeat A simple system, a simple pleasure
"The JBL OnBeat is a simple, stand-alone iPod/iPhone/iPad docking speaker system that delivers on sound. Based on my experience, I think it would be a good addition to a den, office, or bedroom. If your i-Device is looking for a home, the JBL OnBeat just might be for you."

Excellent quality sound.
Purchased my unit in 2011 and it sounded great however after about 8 months the unit would not charge our I Pad so Crutchfield replaced it. Crutchfield was no problem and fixed the unit no questions asked. Now the new unit is doing the same thing as the first one and it is now considered out of warranty. I tried to have the unit repaired through JBL but they were of no help and in fact quite rude about it. I would say the unit sounds good and you will enjoy it for less than a year. Not sure if it is worth the money.
Pros: Great Sound and very portable
Cons: Unit has issues with charging the attached IPad
This is a great sounding, nice-looking JBL speaker / dock unit.... we are very pleased with it. It's just what I expected from the JBL name and, of course, a highly recommended retailer such as Crutchfield.
Pros: Appearance, size, sound, value for the $$$.
Cons: Power supply cord/transformer pack does take up some space.
I absolutely love this speaker it's perfect for what I'm using it for, and everybody that sees it wants one. I read a review that it does not charge the iPad/iPhone it does mine, at any rate I am happy that I purchased the JBL speaker for my iPhone and iPad. So kudos to the maker
Pros: It does what is expected
Great little dock for the money. I really like it!
So simple and easy to use. Super portable with good sound. Great for the money!
I love this dock. Simple, to the point, good sound quality and not a lot of money. Perfect!
Great sound for a great price and JBL quality. But the one feature I liked it does not perform, it does not charge my I-Pod as indicated when docked, so I have to make sure its fully charged before heading down to the firepit.
