Overview

Our take on the JBL Trip

The JBL Trip is an indispensible driving companion. I've had my fair share of low-budget cars that were "not long for this world." When catastrophic automotive failure is on the horizon, the last thing you want to do is invest in a new car stereo and speakers. With the Trip, JBL gives you a powerful, rechargeable battery-operated Bluetooth speaker that you can clip onto your visor, and when you want to switch cars....by gosh, you just take it out. It's perfect for rental cars, and just about anything with a visor. Plus, you can easily remove the clip mount, giving you a portable Bluetooth speaker that holds a whopping 8-hour charge for music playback. So, stream away!

Hands-free is the way to be

Maybe you like your factory stero just fine, but it doesn't have Bluetooth. In some states, hands-free phone use is required, so the JBL Trip with its built-in, high quality microphone is a simple solution. JBL's exclusive Voice Cancellation technology has mercy on whomever you're calling by reducing road, wind noise, and echoes for the cleanest sound possible. If you need a quick, quality Bluetooth audio solution, the Trip is it.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this device to make and receive calls hands free with my smart phone (Samsung 6). The instructions were poor at best. I can receive calls as promised very clear. however, I can not make a call unless I know the number to call. This is useless to me as I have a lot of contacts. Also while the caller is loud and clear I am very soft according to the other person. There is no way to increase the volume for the other person to hear me. Increasing the volume only makers the speaker louder for my ears. There is little help from JBL. I would suggest trying a product before spending this kind of money.

Pros: small and fits well on the visor

Cons: does not perform as stated

Good sound if you are looking for a wireless device to play music. Don't intend to use this in your car to talk on the phone though. Yes, you can turn the volume up to a decent level, however the mic is incapable of muting the sound of the other caller. The result is the other caller hears their own voice echo back through at them. The "fix" is to turn down the volume, but once you do that you cannot hear it in the car.

Pros: Good sound for music

Cons: Not good for phone calls

Great Product

I bought this because my car audio was broken and I was tired of using speaker phone for hands free calling, this product is wonderful for that as well as having great sound.

Pros: long lasting battery life, great sound

Cons: somewhat distracting to have on the dash board.
