Got a pair of these to replace the broken, low wattage stock speakers in my front doors. At about 40w these things get pretty loud! 5 stars because they are cheap and sound better than what I had. Obviously you get what you pay for though. A little underwhelming overall, but hey, they're inexpensive.

I bought four of these low-cost speakers to replace the deteriorated OEM equipment in my 34-year-old Volkswagen Camper. There isn't much choice given the space available: Without modification to the car, you are limited to four inch speakers to fill a big, big vehicle. I am so glad I installed them. When I got the last screw in the rear speakers I reached for the remote to hear what I had accomplished and I couldn't believe it. I had never heard sound like that in my camper! Easy install, very nicely made.

Pros: Easy to install, surprisingly good sound.

Cons: None given the price.

They are 4" full range speakers. So they are good for what they are. Bought 2 pair, 1 pair had a rattle straight out of the box when hooked up. That one pair didn't like the 250-500 Hz range. Cut that range in the EQ and the rattle stopped. But the other pair sounds good all around, no issues.

Fantastic speakers especially for the price. Installed them in my son's 1990 Corolla (old ones shot). Just very minor mods to make them fit and the sound is great. Will they provide you ability to win contests no, but if you just want great sound for a more than reasonable price these cannot be beat.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are just your average aftermarket speakers with decent sound; however these guys supplied a wiring harness adapter that plugs right into the factory harness! I couldn't find another company to sell a speaker that plugs right into my 1887 Toyota pickup! That alone is worth the price.

These fit nicely in my 1986 Toyota Pickup. They sound good! They get a little whining at high volume, but is probably more the size than the quality of the speakers. Easy to install, but actually instead of using the wiring harness included I just soldered the speakers in. The wiring harness they included to fit my truck was different, but it looked like the one from my truck had been previously changed from stock. Overall, I am very pleased to have a working stereo in my truck!

Really good speakers for the price they are, I have an older vehicle with a 4 speaker sound system and using these as a replacement really boosted the sound quality, i didn't think the sound could be improved as much as it was, overall really good product.

Pros: Good price Perfect fitment

Cons:

Good price and decent sound. Location will determine range of course. I've only be using them for a little over a month but so far so good.

Pros: Price

Cons: The "Dub" design tweeter seems to protrude too much. You may not be able to install stock grills/guards without some trimming.

Cons: The word "Dub" on the speaker grille. That's dumb.

1983 Jag XJ6 replacement tip

Jonathan from MT on 7/19/2016

1983 Jaguar XJ6
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First off, I don't expect much from a 4" coax speaker. Without bass filtering you just can't give much to a driver that small, and I'm running these off the factory deck. With that said, they are a huge improvement over factory, at a very low price. Tip for classic Jag owners, the tweeter on these Jensens sticks out too far for drop in replacement. The factory speakers have a plastic trim ring that I tore off and used as a spacer after lining the inside of the ring with gasketing tape to fill in the space between the speaker surround and the edge of the trim ring. NOW they were a drop in replacement. Crutchfield rocks, as always!

Pros: Build quality seems good, tweeters have good tone and voicing.

Cons: None.

I bought new system for my Jeep these speaker look great fit perfect in side mount vent I did have to find 8 bolts no big deal. I wish I had bought the better pair they sound good up to level 15 then they turn to crap kind of disappointed but I did select the cheap ones my fault get the better ones I would say.

Pros: Nice look fits great

Cons: weak sound

Easy to install, good sound

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very easy to install with the Crutchfield included accessories. Sound great, especially for the price. Replaced a pair of Kicker 4x6 speaker and really just wanted to match the sound of the Kickers before they started breaking up. These sound better, can be pushed louder, and have better bass response than the Kicker 4x6s they replaced. Very pleased.

Pros: Easy to install, very affordable, excellent replacement for factory speakers

Cons: None to speak of

These speakers with the help of the free adapter went in smoothly and sound great in the dask of my Jeep.

Pros: Solid construction, great sound, easy installation

Cons: I had to find four bolts for each side to mount the speaker to the adapter. Not much of a problem.

Great look, not as bassy as expected

MARKMAN from Seattle, WA on 2/5/2016

1990 Toyota Corolla
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I originally purchased these with price/perceived quality in mind. Uon opening the box I was pleased with the construction and anticipating replacing my rear ceiling speakers. After installing one and comparing with the other factory speaker, it does not deliver the in the bass department. I will still use these to replace my cracked front speakers, and I do not feel I was ripped off, but perhaps I should have researched a little more before I improve my factory setup. Next step, also replace my factory stereo I guess.

Pros: Looks great, highs come through.

Cons: Where's the bass? Not a good replacement for my columns since I was expecting improvement over the factory.

They do what they are supposed to do!

I like the sound, and increased bass response. This tough and tiny 4" speakers handle all my RMS power. They replaced a set that were clipping a lot. That problem is solved. This set of speakers can handle a lot! They sound great too, very good highs.

Pros: Tough, good sound, good Bass response. Will handle plenty of power.

Cons: None

Features

Woofers: The mica-reinforced Injection Molded Polypropylene (IMPP) woofer cones are rigid and lightweight. The Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.

Dome Tweeter: Each speaker has a 20mm (3/4") silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet. Silk is lightweight and great for high frequency extension and efficiency. It is also designed for durability in the extreme automotive environment.

4/2 Hole Compatibility: Most 4" factory speakers use four mounting screws, however, in some vehicles, only two are used. The DUBs240's mounting tabs can be removed, allowing installation in 4-hole or 2-hole applications. Care should be taken handling the speaker after any tabs are removed because the broken edges may be sharp. Please check the Find What Fits Your Car application to confirm fit in your vehicle.
