Versatile music machine
When you're ready for some tunes, you can play your favorite store-bought CDs or the recordable discs you've loaded with MP3 and WMA files. You'll find two USB inputs for MP3 and WMA file playback, plus you can plug your iPod® into one of the USB inputs and control it with the touchscreen. Adjust the audio with the 3-band equalizer, or keep it simple by selecting one of the eight preset EQ curves.

Video center
The front-panel audio/video input provides a convenient connection for your portable audio player, a camcorder, or another video source. With Jensen's optional jLinkUSB cable, you can even watch video from your iPod. The receiver boasts a video output to send movies to rear video screen, and you'll also find an input for a rear-view camera — perfect for when you're maneuvering your vehicle in tight spaces.

Options for navigation and more
If you're building a high-powered system, you'll enjoy the utility of front, rear, and mono subwoofer preamp outputs. Jensen's NAV-102 navigation module brings maps and guidance to your receiver's screen, and you can add Jensen's Bluetooth™ module for hands-free calling.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the receiver, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. Check the "Accessories" tab for compatible adapters.

Note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver or its optional iPod adapter.

touchscreen stopped after 3 years

JT from BR, LA on 7/3/2012

I purchased my Jensen from Crutchfield. Touchscreen stopped working after 3 years, with very little screen use. I mainly have it as a back up camera display and only sometimes use it for FM radio or CD. The display looks good and everything else works fine, but with no response from the touchscreen the whole system is useless! We were very happy with our VM9312 product until the screen stopped responding even though the display looks fine. Maybe Jensen has a better screen on the newer model, but you are taking a chance.

Pros: All features as described. Sound was good.

Cons: Menus are a little slow to respond. Touchscreen displays but fails to respond after 3 years of very light use.

This DVD player is great if you want a dvd player without paying a high price this is the one for you, its easy to operate my kids usually operate it while I am driving. My ipod is located in the glove box so their are no wires hanging everywhere but if you use your ipod or iphone and you want to play video's GET THE JENSEN JLINK CABLE, VIDEO'S CANNOT PLAY WITHOUT IT!!!! I made that mistake thinking that I just needed my iphone cord but no just get the cable

Pros: Ease of use and quality

Cons: nothing

Worked good, for 8 months.

After 8 months of ownership my touchscrren began acting up; not working, mis reading my touch, etc. Sent in to fix because it was under factory warranty. A month later I got it back, however it was NOT fixed.... Disappointed in Jensen.

good upgrade!

Great product and upgrade for older vehicles that need upgrades. Our family really enjoys this stereo! Sound is phenomenal with stock and aftermarket speakers. No complaints here.

Pros: All features work good and are easy to navigate through.

Cons: None yet.

Love this product so far

So far, I love this unit. It took me all of about 15 minutes to install and has a great sound/picture. The MP3 navigation is not quite what I had hoped for, but I may not be completely used to it yet. It is not bad though.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love this system it has everything I needed. My friends and family were so impressed that I installed this system myself. I did get a little re assurance from the guys at crutchfiled tech support to go over everything I did to install this system. They were great! They reassured me that the installation was correct and I confirmed it with the system playing correctly. I previously bought another system from another dealer and had them install it but the thing kept blowing a fuse. So I decided to do this one myself. I had to add a antenna adapter to hear the radio stations, once I did that.... Wha la... presto , I can hear the radio loud and clear. I am so happy!. The reason I gave it a 4 was because.... the sound qualilty with the radio is a little subpar ( my husband said maybe I should add new speakers) but with the use of a cd, dvd, or usb the sound quality is great, I love it! I loved it so much I next installed 2 headrest dvd players for the kids in the back! They love them!.. I would recommend this system to anyone!

I love this unit. The sound is great. It picks up most radio stations in our area and I live in an isolated area. The video is very clear and it seems like you are in the theatre. The rear camera is a little slow coming on but it actually helps, makes me think a little before backing up and it also has a pretty good picture at night. Bluetooth works great and was easy to sync with my Droiud 2. Doesn't store your phone book permanently though. I didn't get the nav, but think it would be cool to have.. Overall this unit is awesome.

Jensen VM9214

Zbunch from Prescott, AZ on 2/1/2011

I have had this receiver for just over two months now and feel now I can post a fair review. Pros: Awesome volume, this unit is LOUD and yet still clear. Good touch screen, fairly easy to navigate, folds and unfolds quickly, and the display is easy to read/see (bright enough to see in direct sunlight). I am very pleased with the performance of the unit so far, even the radio reception is better than I expected. Cons: Touch screen can be inaccurate at times. The scroll for the song list is very close to the song list and it frequently selects a song to play rather than scrolling. (I found it easier to use the secondary scroll buttons on the other side to avoid this). Second, I have two USB drives for each of the USB inputs and even though they are formatted to the recommended format (FAT32) the unit sometimes will not recognize them, and display "USB not supported". BUT turning off and restarting the unit with fix the problem and it will play normally. Also, there is no "play all" option for the USB drives or any multi folder mp3 or DVD disc. Not a huge issue but a feature I would like to have. And the last problem I have had so far is the cooling fan for the unit (which is always on), is quite noisy when the unit is cold. The "cons" list looks bad, but this really is a good unit. It does what it's supposed to do. I am very happy with my choice and I'm sure I will enjoy it for years to come... but I probably would not buy it again.

Preset EQ: Preset EQ curves are stored into memory, allowing you to recall the best setting for different types of music. You may choose from the following presets: Acoustic, Urban, Rave, Latin, Dance, Hip Hop, Rock, or User.
