Overview

Our take on the Kenwood KH-CR500B

Do you enjoy the sound coming from the Kenwood deck in your car? If you answered by nodding your head, the KH-CR500B in-ear headphones will make sure you do that all day. These well-constructed earbuds slide in to create a noise-isolating seal, so there's nothing between you and the deep, powerful thump of the bass. Highs and mids sound crisp and clean too. Plus Kenwood has included four pairs of ear tips — one pair specially made with memory foam — to ensure a secure, comfortable fit.

The Kenwood KH-CR500B in-ear headphones wrapped around the head

The headphones connectors wrap around the back of your head, and an inline remote lets you answer phone calls.

Unique cable with simple one-button remote

Listening to music on a smartphone is convenient, but sometimes you need to answer a phone call. You won't have to pull these earbuds out. On the flat, tangle-resistant cable, there's a one-button in-line remote control with a built-in microphone. Hit the button to answer the phone and take calls right through the headphones.

The cable itself has an interesting design. Rather than the typical "Y-shape" headphone cable, these 'phones feed a single cord to the left earbud. Then the cord that connects the left and right earbuds wraps around the back of your head, keeping it out of your way.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These headphones have a great range from lows to highs. They block out sound enough that you don't have to have your sound so loud. They are super comfortable in the ear. The only negative is that you control your volume from your device. You are able to pause and skip from the headphones. I think the sound quality makes up for that small negative. I would have given it 5 stars if it had volume control.

They sound pretty good. The cord is a bit long but better long than too short. You'd think they'd have an inline volume adjust. You can pause and play with a button also answer calls. Volume has to be adjusted on the device.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Ordered these with a rewards card Crutchfield sent me. The look very cool, tho not as high quality as the photos make them look. The sound quality is ok. Very bassy. Hoping that will clear up with some use. Comes with lots of different sizes and shapes of ear pieces for a comfortable fit. Ear buds themselves are too heavy to star in during a rigorous workout. A walk or light jog is all I think they could handle. Noise blocking is average when they stay snug in your ear. Overall, happy with these as a pair of secondary buds to have around the house.

Excellent Headphones.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Amazing headphones. I put them in my ear and without even having music playing cant hear anything of what people are saying. They sound amazing and have really high quality lows, My friend who owns BOSE headphones tried them on and said they sounded just as good if not better than his. And his headphones were more than 100 dollars. Excellent would recommend and buy again.

Pros: Noise Cancelling Amazing quality Looks fly Quality Lows

Cons: Huge earbuds.

I don't have any information on which smart phones these headphones will work with 1 button remote/microphone that's on it. You should have no issues using them to listen to audio from any device with a headphone jack output. [ Paul  Nov 23, 2015 ]  Staff
