The marine environment can be tough on a subwoofer. To make sure your sound stays strong for many seasons on the water, choose a sub that's been designed to handle these extreme conditions.
Kenwood's KFC-W254MRW 10" marine subwoofer has a strong, waterproof polypropylene cone with a rubber surround that'll hold up to humidity and UV exposure. A tough white plastic shell protects the basket and magnet against corrosion, and the sub's integrated white plastic grille matches the interior of many boats.
Kenwood designed this marine subwoofer for free-air use, so it'll produce great bass when mounted into a panel or bulkhead no box required. Stainless steel mounting hardware is included.

Great sub for the money.
Replaced an old blown sub on a boat. Install was a snap. Sounds good so far.
Pros: Looks Good, sounds good.
Amazing value for money. I've installed 2 of these woofers in my center console, this gives a clean deep sound
Pros: Good price/quality balance
This is a decent subwoofer for the price. I tried other more expensive subs with the same amp in the same location and the more expensive subs are a bit more accurate. But for the price, this is good enough. This sub has trouble keeping up with multiple bass notes that are close together. Maybe it will get better with break in though. I have the sub mounted inside the cabin. You cannot actually hear it from outside unless it is cranked up. That's kind of nice to the boat neighbors at the dock.
Pros: Good sound. Fairly shallow integrated grill.
Cons: Not for bass purists. Deep basket that you cannot mount just anywhere. Measure twice!
Good sound for the price .An amplifier is a must have to get a sub to work.Best part about this sub woofer is the open air design that allows you to mount it anywhere in the boat, with a enclosure or not. Waterproof marine Quality at a reasonable price !
Pros: Mount Anywhere in Your Boat
my old subwoofer blew I looked around , by far the kenwood was the best bang for the buck performs great with the big sound i was looking for , highly recommend
Pros: compact in size , completely water resistant
Put this on the boat this summer. Sounds great. I think I might want a 12" or larger to get a bit more oomph but really improved the sound of the stereo on our boat. My only mistake was not realizing I needed an Amp too to go with it!
Pros: Small Size
Cons: Could use a little more oomph.
I've had this sub in my boat for about a year now. Did not have one in it before had and I have to say that the quality of sound greatly improved with this sub as an addition. Great quality & sound!
Had this sub in my old boat and it rocked! Just bought another one and will install in new boat this weekend.
Pros: Sounds great
I got to say I have owned a few boats in my time and on all of them I neglected to put a subwoofer. I really didn't think it would make much of a difference. But now that I have installed one, I can say that it's not a waste. It's far from it. The system on this boat sounds better than any system I have installed or have ever even heard on any other boat. The bass vibrations are deep and the sound quality is incredible. I would recommend any one installing a system on a boat to purchase this sub.
UV and Water Resistant: These marine speakers feature UV-resistant white grilles, waterproof polypropylene cones, rubber surrounds, and stainless steel mounting hardware to stand up to the marine environment. The tinsel leads are coated and the speaker terminals are gold plated to guard against corrosion.
Free-Air: The woofer is designed for mounting in an infinite baffle (free-air) application so no enclosure is necessary.
Vented Voice Coil: The vented voice coil allows air to circulate in the voice coil gap, helping dissipate heat and resulting in greater power handling and increased reliability.
