Good Sound but arrived broken. TWICE!!
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Recommended by the Crutchfield rep. on the phone. I agree that they do sound pretty good and liked them better that others I have owned (Dennon) in this price range.( $50-100 ) The physical weight of them is a bit heavy in your ears. I received the first pair and the mini -plug that goes into your Ipod was broken. The chrome metal ring around it had come off and was loose in the box. Crutchfield sent out a second pair. Same problem. Perhaps Monster needs to find better glue? They sounded pretty nice so I was disappointed that they arrived broken twice. After two tries I switched to the NU Force NE700x . Glad I did. I think they sound better, and they are also an all metal ear bud, but they aren't as heavy so they are less noticeable in your ears than the Monsters. I usually find that you get what you pay for, but in this case I liked the less expensive NuForce over Monster JamZ. Bottom Line...If you are looking for a sweet sounding earbud in this price range I highly recommend that you look into getting the NuForce over the Monster Jamz. They sound better ( bigger sound stage, smoother mid range, better base tones, not as punchy) and feel better in your ears, and cost less. Everyone I spoke with at Crutchfiled through the process of getting the replacement, all the returns and even ordering my third pair of replacements were very professional and did a great job.
