Our take on the Monster® iCable® 800

Monster's iCable 800 let you listen to your iPod®, iPhone®, or other MP3 player on many types of car and home audio systems. If your car stereo has a minijack auxiliary (aux) input, this cable will give you better sound than wireless transmitters and cassette tape adapters, which are subject to interference and distortion.

Product Highlights:

  • length: 7 ft.
  • stereo cable with a male miniplug connector at each end (3.5mm)
  • compatible with all docking iPods, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS
  • Dual Balanced™ conductors deliver natural sound
  • DoubleHelix™ construction rejects interference
  • 24k gold-plated connectors resist corrosion
  • warranty: limited lifetime
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

This is a heavy duty patch cable. The quality is definitely there.

This is really nothing more than average cable. If you want really good cable and you're willing to pay for it, go with AudioQuest. Monster Cable isn't what it used to be ten years ago, a lot of marketing and hype that you pay for but not much more.

Pros: Nothing to rave about.

Cons: Expensive for what you get in return.

Good cable

Cable is as advertised. Good construction quality materials. Works like a good cable should.

Pros: Flexible.

This cable made my husband happy, and that's the best compliment I can give a piece of technology:) Our old one must've had a kink in it because it would cut out unexpectedly, this one does none of that.

nice cable

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Has thick wire and looks like it should be durable- can't tell any difference in audio quality as compared to my old cable but it probably won't fail like my old one did.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Perfection as always from Monster. Music sounds crystal clear when used with my B&W Zeppelin Mini. Sounds better using the monster cable then the dock.

Pros: Ease of use and cable length.

Cons: Bit pricey but well worth it.

Great Product

BobM from Cary, NC on 3/22/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is an excellent cable. Heavy duty. What I like is it is heavy enough so it does not twist or kink but flexible enough to go where it needs to go.

Pros: heavy duty for use in a car. Does not kink or flop around but not too stiff.

Cons: Somewhat pricey but you get what you pay for.
