Simple to use and creates the appearance of a professional installation*** You need to order 2 pairs per speaker line.

Pros: Clean look Easy to install

Cons:

crimping the banana plug, not so efficient

David from Spokane, WA on 12/14/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

banana plugs are fine except for attaching them..crimping them on...sometimes they stay attached, and sometimes they come loose...mine came loose. I decided to order the set screw type and see if they work better.

Pros: simple

Cons: crimping the plug

Works as described

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Works as described. Easy to crimp and attach to your wire. The only con is when you try to remove. make sure you grab the entire clip or you will pull the wire out.

Pros: Easy to crimp, hold's well

Cons: Make sure to pull entire clip when removing

Compact Connector

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Compact connector, good for tight-fitting locations. Can be crimped, soldered or both. Great improvement over bare wire.

Pros: Compact, reasonable quality; fits a variety of wire sizes up to 12ga. Terrific wire termination for DIY cables.

Cons: Would be nice to have a smaller size for 14 or 16 wire

Banana plugs

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great plugs, easy to install....only wish they had them in 90 degree version. They do stick out after crimping them on the wire, also makes it difficult to have enough room behind receiver, if it's in an entertainment center.

Cons:

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

Best price [ H  May 18, 2017 ]
Needed a clean wire end connection for new wire and new speakers. Price seemed right for the product. I may silver solder instead of crimp. Will let you know how it sounds. [ Robert C.  Apr 27, 2017 ]
Reputation! [ Thomas  Mar 17, 2017 ]
I have used these connectors before and find they work great with Monster Cable, 12 gauge cable. [ Robert  Mar 16, 2017 ]
Professional wire instalation [ martin  Jan 02, 2017 ]
The price, quality and need were all met with this product. Other products in this category were over priced and could be purchased locally for less. [ Irving  Dec 31, 2016 ]
I have banana plugs on all my speakers to connect them my amplifiers. [ Benjamin  Dec 26, 2016 ]
I need them. [ Bryan  Dec 20, 2016 ]
In my experience gold plated connectors make good connections and resist corrosion. My first choice is out of stock so I ordered these. [ H  Nov 07, 2016 ]
More secure speaker connection than pins. Crimp connection fairly easy to attach. [ tcowden  Oct 24, 2016 ]
I have used them in the past, they work well and are easy to install [ Scott  Sep 02, 2016 ]
I'm trying to make connecting the speaker wire in the cramped space behind the amp easier. Speaker connections seem to still be in the dark ages in the era of HDMI. [ ERIC  Apr 28, 2016 ]
prefer to crimp for a secure connection. reasonably priced [ ALQUIN  Mar 10, 2016 ]
I picked these because if I ever want to plug & unplug stereo components, especially since mine is in a cabinet, I can simply pull these off and plug them back in when I'm done.Otherwise, I have to pull the whole receiver out, with its many many wires so that I can then carefully feed the stripped speaker wires back into the connectors. Big time hassle. Put these on your speaker wires before hooking up your speakers the first time and be done with it! [ GLEN E  Jan 04, 2016 ]
I chose this item to place on my speaker wire as a quick-connect from my amplifier to my subwoofer box. [ G.  Dec 15, 2015 ]
