Q
Do I need this adapter for my 2007 Ram with the Kenwood DMX47S unit? I know it recommends a kit when I add the unit to my cart but for instance, I don't need the steering wheel controls. I don't have any on my steering wheel.

A
You would need that antenna adapter in order to continue receiving AM/FM stations when you install a new head unit because the input plug differs between factory and aftermarket radios.

Q
how long is this cable, will it extend my cable.?
robert  Feb 15, 2022
1 answer
A
its about 6" but its not meant as an extension, as you see the male end is different from the female end, this is an adapter to allow an aftermarket radio to be installed while maintaining the factory antenna

Q
I have a 2007 Dodge ram 1500. Does this coax antenna fit the new radio for Sirius XM?
jimmer  Apr 01, 2021
1 answer
A
This adapter is for the FM antenna and will not work to adapt the SiriusXM antenna. At the time of this post, we do not have an adapter for the SiriusXM antenna. That may change in the future and we recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check

Q
I can't seem to get the 40-CR10 to actually reach the antenna in a jeep wrangler 2006, it's about 2-3 inches too short. Is there something that can extend it?

A
You can get extenders from Crutchfield.

Maybe you can reroute the wire a different way from where the antenna enters the Jeep to the radio.

In case I was not clear...the cable converts the Nissan/Infiniti cable into both a male and female standard end
cory  Aug 01, 2015
A
If you have a Nissan/Infiniti antenna wire, this will plug into that wire and it had two tails, one is standard female and one is standard male...most likely you will use the male end to plug into your new head unit and cut the female end off or just leave it hanging
