The XSVI-6515-NAV wiring interface from Axxess lets you connect your new car stereo to your Fiat 500's factory wiring harness. In addition to its power, ground, and speaker connections, this Axxess adapter also lets you keep your Fiat's factory Bluetooth, USB input, and the auxiliary input features. This versatile adapter can work with the basic Fiat audio system or with the upgraded Bose® audio system. If you're installing a navigation receiver, the XSVI-6515-NAV interface also offers the parking brake, reverse, mute, and Vehicle Speed Sensor (V.S.S.) outputs that you'll need. If you like that radio to keep playing after your Fiat's turned off, this interface also supports Retained Accessory Power (RAP) which keeps the music going until the door is opened. You can plug the Axxess steering wheel interface (not included) direclty into this interface, and keep your 500's steering wheel audio controls working with your new car stereo. Warranty: 1 year.

Great product, works as it should in keeping the factory steering wheel controls, but the instructions were horrible. Once I figured out the wiring diagram and understood the LED flashing light sequence. then you had to do one more step that was not very clear at all. If you get all the correct LED light flash sequences you then have to hold the volume up button for 20 seconds. Make sure your stereo is off!
Pros: Works great once for figure it out.
Cons: Very poorly written instructions.
Complete waste of my money. Even after being on the phone with tech for about 45 minutes none of my steering wheel controls work. Wish I wouldn't have purchased this.
Pros: I don't know if there are any pros to this seeing as it didn't work for my car what so ever. The Crutchfield Tech Support was nice but even after having them tell me the proper way to wire this up it still doesn't work.
Cons: Tons of wires to fit behind the deck. Terrible instructions from the factory. Throws codes up on my car (tpms sensors, airbag, fuel cut off) None of the steering wheel controls work even after spending almost an hour on the phone with tech support just to figure out what wires are what. Very cheesy looking modules. Be nice if it actually worked how it is supposed to.Crutchfield response on December 21, 2016 Grant, we're sorry you're having issues with your interface. Our Tech Support team reached out to help get this working the way it should, or help return it for an exchange or refund.
I'm not great with wiring and I was really apprehensive about getting this. But, the instructions help quite a bit. I will say this: If not for Crutchfield support, I never would have completed this project properly. There are a lot of wires and the instructions are so-so. Because of the instructions, I can't really give a 5 star rating. But, Crutchfield support walked me through after multiple calls. The wires are color coded and it's easy to connect properly. There are quite a few so slow and steady is the way to go. That's not necessarily the difficult part though (it is hard and rather tedious). Once you have the wires connected, setting up your particular system with the included boxes is somewhat confusing. Unfortunately, I had a bad box and had to return it and wait for a replacement. So, my dash looked like a tangled spider web. That's NOT Crutchfield's fault at all. I received my replacement, followed Crutchfield's support and everything is working. The steering wheel controls work, my OEM aux works so job completed! It's a bit buggy because sometimes things just hiccup but I'm ok with that and chalk it up to technology. Overall, I'm pleased with the ability to keep my steering wheel controls. Best part? Crutchfield support!!
Pros: Keeping Steering Wheel Controls Crutchfield Support
Cons: Tedious So-So instructions
Compatibility: The XSVI-6515-NAV radio replacement interface module allows you to replace the factory radio in a 2012 FIAT 500 vehicle (non-amplified/standard amplified system) with an aftermarket head unit. Please consult the Crutchfield Car Selector to see if your vehicle and aftermarket head unit is compatible.
Product Features: The XSVI-6515-NAV retains the factory R.A.P. (Retained Accessory Power) and OEM Bluetooth/USB/3.5mm audio, as well as provides accessory/illumination outputs, plus navigation outputs (parking brake/reverse/mute/VSS) for aftermarket head unit installation.
OEM Steering Wheel Control Compatible (optional): The XSVI-6515-NAV interface features a right-angle 3.5mm connector that lets you keep your vehicle's OEM steering wheel controls via the optional Axxess Steering Wheel Control Interface (120ASWC1, sold separately).
Color Codes: Wiring up the XSVI-6515-NAV is like wiring up any other wire harness that would attach to an aftermarket radio's harness. The Metra/EIA wire code can be found on the back of the interface's package that will aid you in the wiring of your aftermarket radio The XSVI-6515-NAV interface contains the following wire leads.

Because your sales rep said it would work for my car [ Michael Apr 15, 2016 ]
The current version of the harness we offer does not feature a USB port for firmware, no. A change such as that would warrant a new part number for the harness and a new item number for our inventory. I hope that helps!
