Our take on the T-Spec GM Post Standard Battery Terminal

Solid brass terminal

Replace your vehicle's side-mount battery post with this terminal from T-Spec. This post allows you to use the terminal for all of your vehicle's factory wiring plus the ring terminal for another audio component. This heavy-duty black nickel-plated brass post can be used on either positive or negative battery terminals. Warranty: 1 year.

So far it is working great.

Works exactly as advertised

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great part overall. the long version is just too long. The contact with the battery is much better than the part I got from my local stereo shop!

Pros: Quick install, quality threads, positive contact with side terminal batteries.

Cons: I wish it was just a LITTLE bit longer. The long version is way too long, but this one could use just a scosh more length for more contact.

The good stuff

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I tried the auto parts store first. Yea, that didn't work. I ordered these and the long version ( which I didn't need). I was able to add a power lnverter, which used #2 cable, and these fit the factory battery ends perfectly . They were super easy to install and the auxiliary bolt made a great way to attach the inverter cables. Be sure to use a backup wrench as these bolts are stronger than the battery threads.

Cons: It would be nice if a protective boot ,for the positive post, were available.

Does a fine job securing the power lead for the amp

Pros: Price

Cons: Feels as if it will not tighten up properly in the battery.

Great on my Cutlass Supreme

Cons: None

Perfect for battery side terminal

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I decided to go full on with amp/powered sub and forgot this key piece. Without it, there is no way to connect the power cables to the battery, especially a 4g power cable. Once I got it, it was an easy install to replace the existing terminal and connect the amp/sub power cables. The black looks good and makes installation look clean.

Pros: Works for large gauge power cables.

Cons: None

Nice product

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great product overall

Pros: Helps to install other accessories without taking the battery terminal out every time

Cons: I've got two batteries so the terminal was a little short to wire all thing with the short post. I'd go with the long

Why did you buy this?

have a GM battery in my vehicle[ Jarrod  May 15, 2016 ]
This was a must for my 2002 Chevy Tahoe. I tried one I picked up at a local major auto parts chain, but it was too long and too hard to install. I then ordered from Crutchfield, and my amp power was hooked up without a problem.[ Tim  Feb 16, 2016 ]
