Item # 120OSLAN02 | MFR # GMOS-LAN-02
The Axxess GMOS-LAN-02 GM radio replacement interface lets you replace the factory radio in select OnStar® equipped 2006-up General Motors vehicles using the existing wiring and connectors. Even if you don't subscribe to OnStar, you'll need this interface to connect an aftermarket stereo.
Connect the GMOS-LAN-02 to your aftermarket radio, mount the module, and plug it into the existing factory plug. Get the great sound you want, and keep all of the important safety features intact, including your factory Bluetooth and your GM backup camera. And you can adjust volume settings for OnStar as well as the safety chimes. In addition, this harness lets your new receiver work with any existing factory amplifiers.
Also, once you turn off the ignition in these GM vehicles, the radio continues to play until you open the door. This interface maintains that function with your new aftermarket radio. This adapter gives you convenient plug-in connections for the Axxess steering wheel control adapter (not included) that works with most aftermarket stereos – that means less wiring work for you.
This interface is compatible with select 2006-and up GM vehicles. If you haven't done so already, please enter your vehicle information or call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this item is compatible with your vehicle. Warranty: 1 year.
Note: Most vehicles will require additional installation parts please identify your vehicle if you haven’t done so. You can also call an Advisor for more information.

Great product! Easy install
There is a noise on the driver side door and tje rear speakers dont sound
Pros: Easy install. Every thing worked good.
Cons: There is a noise on the driver side door and tje rear speakers dont soundCrutchfield response on 9/20/2017 Once we saw this review, our Tech Support team reached out to Adrian to help him further. We'll either help him get his system working the way it should, or help him return it for an exchange or refund.
Installation was simple good instructions don't like how the blinker is now on an old school relay instead of coming through the speakers.
Pros: Easy hook up
Cons: Blinker noise
The stock speakers in the car didn't work after everything was set up
Cons:Crutchfield response on 6/14/2017 Once we saw this review, our Tech Support team reached out to this customer to help him further. Lifetime tech support comes with every Crutchfield purchase.
Once I got the correct equipment my stereo went right in , in no time at all
Pros: I am happy with my transaction with you as a company but your staff needs to be a little more well trained , the reason for this is the person helping me could clearly see on the website I was looking for equipment for my 2003 not my 2012 tahoe, and therefore I would have had the proper equipment the first time around
Worked wonderfully! I did lose some functionality of beeps for the reverse parking sensors. With the factory set up it would slow beep then fast beep when getting very close, now it only has one set of alerts when it sees anything behind the car.
There was no instructions or schematic that told you which wire connected to what. I had to call a rep to get help with it. Also the kit is pretty expensive considering you can buy them separately much cheaper.
Worked very well with my kenwood double din on my suburban
The chime is really poopy...and didnt retain my stock onstar mic.. :(
Cons:Crutchfield response on 2/7/2017 We're sorry you had issues with your Interface. If the problem continues, please just reach back out to our tech support team. They can either help get the interface working the way it should, or set up an exchange or refund.
Had to use this 1 since Crutchfield doesn't offer the pac kit for my 07 denali. I will say that the directions are incomplete, so if your not a self taught expert I deff wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. Many wires in the harness were left out. I had to go at it twice just to get the Bose to kick on. I can honestly say I'll never buy an axxess again.
Pros: Kept what I needed to keep.
Cons: Pain in the ass. Harness is bulky as all hell. Not a pac.
Fit as described. No problems what so ever.
The harness worked great but the thing that will make me come back is the customer service that I received. In this age of $15/hr. fast food workers it is hard to get good customer service but these guys at Crutchfield hit it out of the park. I will now shop at Crutchfield first for now on when I have electronic needs. Thank you team Crutchfield customer service!
Pros: Worked great Customer service
Cons: Didn't buy everything at Crutchfield
Everything worked perfectly on the radio
The adapter is great, the instructions are worthless. I haven't installed a car stereo in 20 years but I used to be pretty good at it. My son wanted to put a new stereo in his car but couldn't afford both the stereo and the installation cost so I offered to help him install his new stereo. It took one call to the Crutchfield help team and another to the Axxess help desk but we finally got everything installed. The two help desks differed on the instructions for the steering wheel remote instructions so that is still not functioning but hopefully I can make another call to the help desk this week to finish the install. Otherwise, the Axxess kit made the install very quick and easy. You just need to be a little creative to stuff the installation kit into the dash behind the stereo.
Pros: Very easy install once you get past the instructions. If you know enough about stereos you can easily install yourself.
Cons: The worst instructions I have ever encountered. If you don't know the basics, don't try to install this on your own.
Very nice wire harness everything went together very nice
Pros: Very easy to assemble
Pros: Idiot Proof!!!!!! If you can't figure out how to hook one of these up your just not very smart!!!!!!!
a bit confusing to hook up but once o got it its good
Pros: great system
Cons: a bit confusing to hook up
Dificult to adjust, and getting varying levels through the Bose system, but overall, works as it should.
Easy install makes everything work great
Pros: Has plug for steering wheel controller
This product is easy install an very helpful
30 min and was done with the soldering. If you're wanting to retain the rear camera and DVD monitor in your Suburban, you'll have to cut the plastic and metal behind the head unit.
Pros: Works and cheaper that my local car stereo dealer.
Installed this in my 2013 Impala LTZ. Worked exactly as advertised. Really made the install a breeze. Allowed me to adjust the gain to the Bose amp, a definite plus, and i was able to tone down the warning chimes to almost inaudible. All in all, a great product.
Pros: Easy to wire up, adjustable amp gain and chime volume.
Fairly easy to install. No complaints, it works fine.
Pros: easy to install
It's really nice to have a product that can help you retain all your factory options
Installation was easy. Works as advertised.
Pros: Directions were easy to understand. Did it's job.
Works great easy to install and retains all factory features including backup camera, rear dvd screen, onstar, & factory cell phone
Pros: Easy to install! Works Great!
This would have been 5 star, but had problems with some kind of faulty wiring in harness that connects to the steering wheel interface adapter. Couldnt figure out why my steering wheel controls wouldnt work, then a call to Crutchfield Tech support really helped. hey, Im a 53 yr old mom with 2 kids. I was able to install this myself and get my new car stereo w bluetooth playing. Had to make some hardwiring adaptions, but it works great now. It is a great feeling!! Yeah Tech Support!!!
Module and wiring harness very easy to install.
very good integration. not exactly simple to install but with crutchfields excellent tech support, its a snap. would definitely rate this a 4 hammer install job.
It's what you need to replace your factory radio if you want to retain the on star functions with a after market radio
Pros: It gets the Job done perfectly
Cons: This price is a little High
like many other reviewers, I too was recommended this kit. This kit works, don't get us wrong, but if you have a factory LCD/DVD forget the wireless headphones. The control module is huge and hard to hide inside the dash. Bought the PAC GMRVD to retain factory LCD, rear seat controls, and IR (wireless headphones), but needs the PAC OS-3/OS-3BOSE or better to make the IR work. Bought the PAC OS-4 since the 3 series were discontinued. Much smaller than the Axxess, fixed IR issues, better chime system, easier to tuck into the dash, better all around. PAC model also comes with pre-wired harness for a steering wheel controls like the SWI-PS!! Stay away from this if you have a factory LCD and want to retain its function, otherwise it works as advertised.
My installation: 2008 Silverado, Kenwood DNX-5120, factory Bose amp. (Truck came with standard MP3 radio, no nav.) Swapped this out for a PAC OS-4 While the GMOS-LAN-02 DID work, it had two major flaws. 1. The steering wheel controls do not operate the Onstar. 2. The dealbreaker is that even though the unit includes a mute wire and the DNX5120 has a mute function, using the Onstar kills power to the radio instead of simply muting or pausing the audio. While this may be OK for a regular radio, I find it unacceptable for a navigation unit with its longer bootup time. There is a workaround involving splicing in a 10k resistor between the brown mute and the red switched power wires, but this causes the DNX5120 to be in "attenuate" mode whenever the truck is started. Minor quibbles: 1. I did not like that when you initiate a call with the Onstar, the Metra takes long enough to switch over that the "Onstar Ready" prompt is not heard. It's actually ready, you just have to assume and proceed with the call. 2. The turn signals sound like someone tapping a fingernail on the windshield, not nearly as nice as the factory sound or the replacement.
This product was suggested for the 2007 Suburban but it looses the functionality of the rear seat entertainment system. This includes the controls of the rear center console, rear video, and rear IR-headphones. The solution was the PAC OS-3Bose, sent to me as a replacement by Crutchfield, and everything works like a charm. All rear controls work, as well as the video-audio in, IR-headphones, and Video. The OS-3Bose has to be used in conjunction with the PAC GMRVD and PAC SWI-JACK. BTW, I replaced the original head unit with the Kenwood DDX712.
When Crutchfield first recommended The GM Adapter to keep my door ajar chimes and blinker clicking sounds, I thought, "that's a lot of money for a couple of cheesy warning noises", and was not going to get it. But they said it also had some other hookups and kept the OnStar option, so I reluctantly ponied up the money. Boy, was I glad I did. It made hooking up my Pioneer harness to my Chevy Impala 1000% easier. It had all the hookups right there: Parking brake, back up lights, VSS, illumination, ground, power and RCA's for all speakers and amps. No long leads back to the trunk! No splicing into wires! No bad grounds! And now, all the chimes and buzzers have an adjustable volume, too. It made it so much more of a professional install.

This interface module allows you to retain factory features such as OnStar, Bluetooth, steering wheel control (optional interface required), and warning chimes. The interface module also provides data bus driven outputs such as retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed sensor (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger, and parking brake.
Vehicle Compatibility: The GMOS-LAN-02 is compatible with select 2006-up GM LAN 29 vehicles that feature a factory amplified sound system (as of 9/30/2013).

It finally stopped working plan on selling truck soon so I just want to put the same one back in so I can just unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Hopefully this one is better?
