Port Tube / Trunk Vent

Robert from Elk Grove, CA on 10/1/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I used 2 of these Port Tubes in the rear deck of my car to help the trunk breathe a little due to 2 pioneer sub. I have recently purchased 2 Alpine Type R subs from Crutchfield and I'm hoping the installation of the Port Tubes will continue to help. At this time with the Pioneer subs I have noticed a very smooth roll off with less vibration and rattles. I also did some sound dampening at the same time. I would recommend the Port Tubes for any installation.

Pros: Awesome

Cons: None

Standard port

Jon from Tyrone, PA on 5/17/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Standard port. Does what you expect. A little noise But if your box is in your trunk you never hear it. Adding a port to a box definitely increases bass output from almost any box. Crutchfield should offer a better selection of ports. Longer ports are often needed with a smaller box. Flared ports eliminate port noise. Neither of these are offered.

Pros: Flanged too easy to install

Cons: Very small amount of port noise.

I listen to heavy metal and rap. As with most people that enjoy these genres, ported boxes sound much better [ Jon  May 04, 2016 ]
