Pioneer's A Series speakers have what it takes to rev up the excitement in your system's sound, thanks to a potent combination of high power handling and accurate sound reproduction.

The TS-A1371R 5-1/4" speaker sports a polyester dome tweeter for comprehensive high-frequency coverage that really sparkles, while a nicely-sized polyester fiber midrange ensures the vocals have realistic warmth and texture. Pioneer reinforces the woofer cone with Aramid fibers for strength and couples the cone to a butyl rubber surround for standout bass and long-term speaker life.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The sound quality is not bad just not very crisp, not enough depth for my taste. They sound very mono toned. In a vehicle as mine, which only has 5.25" speakers, sound quality of Infinity'S line give great sound for their size.

I have to rate these in the middle, not bad, but not great either.

Excellent speaker for the size

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are excellent drivers for their size. The sound output and bass reproduction is a very noticeable boost over the Pioneer 1341's I had to put into the other car, due to size considerations.

That being said, it is a 5.25 speaker, and there is not a lot there for low bass, recommend using these to supplement larger drivers elsewhere, be they 5x8, 6x9, or ideally a sub.

Product Research

Woofers: Each speaker features an interlaced Aramid fiber-reinforced IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) cone woofer. With long Aramid fibers interlacing together inside, this IMPP cone design provides the strength and rigidity powerful bass sound requires. The high-density, compressed internal architecture is resilient, stacks up against high power and transfers sound very quickly. The result is full-bodied, rich sound.

Midranges: Each speaker uses a 1-5/8" polyester balanced dome midrange with magnetic fluid and a neodymium magnet.

Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 3/8" polyester soft dome tweeter for crisp, clear highs.

Surrounds: For durability and a smoother response, each speaker uses a butyl rubber surround.
