Home for a 10" sub

The enclosure houses Pioneer's TS-SW2502S4 10" sub, which features an oversized, mica-injected molded resin cone that moves more air for enhanced bass response. Its dual-spider design helps to stabilize the cone and support the linear movement needed to pump out big volume.

The TS-SWX2502 also features angled push terminals which allow the connection wires to remain straight rather than being bent to fit horizontal or vertical terminals. This saves space and makes installation easier as well as reducing stress on the wires.

Great speakers

The speakers they work really good in my 2017 ford from Modesto, CA on 8/20/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Love the speakers. They work really good in my 2017 Ford pick up.

Pros:

Cons: I did see the same speakers on Amazon.com for a lower price and I was afraid to buy them because of the price but I paid more for them from you because of you were someone I could trust.

PERFECT FOR GREAT SOUND!

Robert from Tracy, CA on 8/6/2017

I bought this sub for a Tacoma access cab. It fits behind the drivers seat perfectly. I have a Boston Acoustic gta 400m hooked to it rated 250w at 4 oms. For a shallow 10 in a sealed box this thing hits pretty hard. It's not to compete with the bassheads that like people to hear them coming from blocks away, but it does sound excellent in the cab of my truck. It will rattle the interior. Working on sound dampening panels now. People are amazed how well my system sounds with factory tweeters and only one pair of jbl 6 1/2s in the front doors and a older Sony Bluetooth deck. If you looking to add some bass a for more full sounding music experience with not a lot of room you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Great bass for in cabin, small footprint.

Cons: I love Crutchfield for all my car audio needs, but I bought this subwoofer/box combo online elsewhere for less money. Sorry, Crutchfield.

Great Quality with Great Sound

Ryan from OH on 2/6/2017

Installed this in my 2013 super cab F-150 under the back bench seat and fits perfect! It sounds great also, I have it powered by a 300 watt Kicker amp. Has the common bass limitations as a normal non ported sub but still sounds great.

Pros: Size, build quality, sound

Cons: None

Perfect for a full size truck!

Dave from Philadelphia, PA on 9/1/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this for my 2009 GMC Sierra crew cab. It fits perfectly under either side of the back seat and the built quality is what you've come to expect from Pioneer. I am running a Planet Audio TRQ4.800 amp, with two Infinity Primus components on Ch1-2 and this sub on 3-4 bridged. The amp definitely isn't pushing what this sub is capable of, but the bass from this sub hits hard and clean and it is exactly what I wanted. I'm 35 years old, married with two kids, so I'm not looking to rattle windows, but when I'm by myself, I like a full sounding audio system with bass that makes you smile.

Pros: Build quality, compact size, matches gray carpet, bass hits hard and I'm lucky if I'm sending it 300W from this amp.

Cons: None!

Two are loud

Don G from Portland, OR on 5/24/2016

Bought two, because in a larger vehicle two subs are better than one. I have these paired up to a Pioneer GM-D8601

Pros: Loud enough Boom enough Thump thump enough These things can hit hard

Cons: None

Good enough

Pioneer subwoofer

Brian from richmond, VA on 2/12/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Perfect fit for under the back seat of my f 150. Thought a 10" sub wouldn't be enough, but I was wrong! Crutchfield experts were on point as usual. Could have bought cheaper from another retailer, but not from an authorized dealer or lifetime support. Crutchfield gets all of my electronic business

Pros: Price, fit, performance

Cons: Nothing at all

Pioneer shallow mount sub enclosure

Randy from Lake Havasu City, AZ on 11/11/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Pretty good little sub enclosure. Has very good smooth bass response and works surprisingly well considering how small the enclosure is. I used mine as a bass fill in the rear of my boat to accompany my Kicker sub in the front. I think for the money it's pretty good value.

Pros: Small size, well made enclosure and not overly expensive

Cons: None

Just what I needed

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great sub, nice price, fantastic performer. I am pleased the bass is tight and right. I did some serious research before I made the purchase. I am not at all dissapointed.

Pros: Good size for my extended cab truck, tight bass, quality built construction.Good lows.

Cons: None seen yet.

Awesome all the way around

Anonymous from Las Vegas, NV on 5/11/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For the price, sound and space it takes up.. It's perfect.. I still own the "Boston G2 12" subwoofer with the tunable radiator" that I got from here years ago.. But the shape wasn't working with my new set up.. But this box defianetly floats the new bill..

Pros: It fit perfectly in its custom location so I didn't need to build one which is awesome. As long as your replacing an old box, it's plug and play.. The sound quality is superb.. It down fires so no worries as to damaging it, you can stack stuff on it around it and it doesn't hurt the bass It creates a booming system!

Cons: There is none..

Very Pleased With This Speaker

M_Casa from Raleigh N.C. on 3/10/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This subwoofer is fantastic considering both the size and slim profile. I bought this to put in the back of my 02 4Runner and paired it with an Alpine MRP500. So my amp is able to give this sub the full beans (300w) and it sounds great. By no means should you be expecting to rattle the other cars around you, however inside the car with the windows down you can still tell that there is a speaker behind you. I sit almost 6 feet away from the speaker and have the sub facing downwards and i can still hear it plenty loud. Ive even had people ask me if I had a 12 in the back. Pioneer do a great job of engineering this and the whole box feels quality and solid. I do not have mine bolted down and it is heavy enough to not slide around in my trunk. If you are looking to add a sub and not loose trunk space, this would be a great product for you.

Pros: Very Slim/Short, Stylish, Gets Loud, Solid build quality, Can stack stuff on top of it, Heavy (wont slide around), Great Crutchfield Support.

Cons: Pricey. There are 12 inch enclosed subs that cost less, but cant handle as much power as this one.

This subwoofer rock my little truck, great sound great quality. Best of all it shipped over seas for free

Pros: Easy to hook up

Cons: Took a while to get here

Great for small trunks

Scottland from Boise, ID on 10/16/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great speaker and box size. It fits under my trunk cover above my spare tire cover in my MINI clubman. I switched from a single 12" in a sealed box that took half my trunk to this. It sounds almost the same but I have noticed it hit higher notes a bit better. Overall I will recommend this to the rest of my MINI friends that want a bit more bass without sacrificing any usable trunk space.

Pros: Small

Cons: it would be nice if the sub was a dual voice coil like i am use to.

AMAZING

GiJoeFontaine from Winnipeg MB on 6/17/2014

What an awesome combination. never thought id be using pioneer in my trunk but here I am happy as ever. I wanted something small and smart for space. this is awesome. its flat and sub faces down so even though I'm using a small amount of height room I can still put stuff on top. huge bass. first had a TS-SWX251 but this is sooooo much better. 400watt rms and 1200 peak. Great buy, Great price, Great sound all round happy guy

Pros: slim box, downward firing, flat top to stack on, simple construction, anti scratch cone, heavy (doesn't slide around)

Cons: heavy (shipping cost)

Features

Overview: The Pioneer TS-SWX2502 is a sealed, shallow-mount enclosure preloaded with a 10" mica reinforced IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) cone woofer. The system is rated at 300-watts nominal (1200-watts max) with a frequency response of 20-200 Hz (-20 dB).

Sealed Enclosure: The enclosure is made of 5/8" MDF, wrapped in black carpet, with internal bracing to ensure rigidity and durability.

10" Woofer: The enclosure is loaded with one 10" shallow-Mount subwoofer with a Mica reinforced IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) composite cone. The process of bonding reinforced pulp to the back of the cone improves its damping capability and eliminates excess vibration. The oversized cone structure provides more surface area without changing the external dimensions, producing louder and deeper bass by moving more air.

Speaker Terminals: The spring-post wire terminals will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10-gauge. The woofer presents a 4-ohm load to your connected amplifier.

Mounting: The TS-SWX2502 includes two metal "L" shaped brackets and eight 1" self-tapping screws to mount the enclosure securely in your vehicle.

tight fit but it'll squeeze under the rear seat in my 2014 Sierra [ Jeremy  May 05, 2017 ]
I have one already in my truck ordered from you guys and I love it, now I'm planning on running these 2 in my regular cab truck, they are perfect! [ Chase  Oct 04, 2016 ]
Picked based on reviews. [ ricardo  Jul 04, 2016 ]
Picked this for all the good reviews on Amazon. I wanted the real warranty and fast shipping though, can't always trust 30 day warranties from random sellers so I chose to go with Crutchfield. [ William H.  Dec 15, 2015 ]

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you. [ Larry  Jan 01, 2018 ]  Staff
The Pioneer TS-SWX2502 measures 18-3/4"W x 5-7/8"H x 12"D. Hope that helps! [ Larry  Jul 06, 2017 ]  Staff
Depends on the dimensions of the area behind the seat. Measure that and compare it with the specs of the sub box. [ Randy  May 12, 2017 ]
Sorry I a can't answer that question, I installed mine in a 69 GTO.....but it sounds nice!!! [ DeMarcus  May 12, 2017 ]
Not sure about those cars but it fits perfectly under the passenger seat in my crosstrek [ Matt  May 12, 2017 ]
Thanks for your question. For information on fit and choosing the best amp for your sub I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. Yes. This is the way in which I use it. [ EUGENE  Aug 17, 2015 ]
It works great any way you want or need to face it. [ Patrick  Aug 17, 2015 ]
Not sure. How much clearance do you have under the seat? I put one in the rear hatch area of my 89 mustang. I really like it! It is about 8 inches high. So if you have 8 inches clearance it will fit and I think you will like it [ Scotty  Jul 30, 2015 ]
I have an 02 chevy , it fit good and sounds great [ CHRIS N  Jul 29, 2015 ]
I put this into the trunk of a 2006 Honda Accord Hybrid and it fills in the low range very nicely. The Hybrid has a huge battery pack sitting in the space between the trunk and the rear seat backs -still get plenty of low end. If you want serious thump or block-rockin bass, this is not the item for you. Still, it hits hard and the sound is clean. Putting it inside the cab of your truck will make a huge difference. [ William  Mar 29, 2015 ]
Sorry, I cant help you with that. We still haven't installed the unit. [ Robert  Mar 29, 2015 ]
IT will give you some thump, but not with the stock setup. You would need a separate amp that has line in inputs from the stereo and a built in crossover. I have 2 of them in back of my Chrysler aspen running off a 1000 watt Sony amp. Very impressed with the low end bass for a 10" sub. [ SCOTT  Mar 29, 2015 ]
It should be enough. I put mine into a civic hatchback and its loud without being over powering. You can buy equipment to hook it up to a stock radio but you will still need a amp to power the sub. [ Paul  Mar 29, 2015 ]
I have this in my 2006 supercab. Plenty of bass from it. I run this through a pioneer GM D9601. My factory did not have sub outputs. [ Ndemtp  Mar 29, 2015 ]
Yes, it is perfect for a four door truck but it is not a powered sub with amplifier, so you would need an external amp and aftermarket stereo to hook it up to. It will not work with a stock radio. [ Sean  Mar 29, 2015 ]
Oh yeah... It's plenty for a 4 door truck. It is the most powerful 10" sub I've ever heard! People will swear that you have a pair of 12's hidden somewhere. It does require a larger amplifier (mono block 1200-1500 watts) to get the full potential, but we'll worth it. The only way it will work with a factory head unit is with a device called a line output converter. Relatively inexpensive and easy to install. [ Todd  Mar 29, 2015 ]
yes, it sounds great in my explorer. and depends upon what stero you have [ Chief  Mar 29, 2015 ]
Depends on the truck as they aren't all the same size and how much bass you are going for. It should be enough, this thing packs a punch. As for the stock stereo question, that depends if you stereo has a built in amp with a straight subwoofer line (most likely it doesn't). You'll need an amp and the radio will need the amp plugs in the back. [ Aaron  Mar 29, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: I'm not familiar with the Boss amp, but the Pioneer speaker is looking for 300 watts RMS and since it's a 4 ohm speaker the amp can't be rated any higher than 300 watts RMS at 4 ohm. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Feb 11, 2015 ]  Staff
The sub is excellent, however, I cannot answer for its suitability in the Subaru WRX Impreza. That question is for Crutchfield to answer. [ Paul  Feb 03, 2015 ]
Speaker handles plenty of power and has good tight low end bass, but not booming, teeth rattling bass. [ SCOTT  Feb 03, 2015 ]
Well it depends what you are going for. I personally love it because in my tiny little Honda CR-X and it provide more than enough bass to rattle a few panels when I really crank it up. The adjustable bass knob is great for keeping it low when you want and really kicking it up for your favourite songs. For what it is, it is a perfect sub that doesn't distort the music once you set it up right. [ Aaron  Feb 03, 2015 ]
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
