Great looks, cool features, and Bluetooth.

Compact chassis, big performance

With no CD player to worry about, Pioneer's designers were able to fit lots of features into a remarkably compact chassis that will fit into a wide variety of dashboards. Pioneer's powerful MOSFET amplifier gives you outstanding sound, while Advanced Sound Retriever (ASR) technology brings back the details lost when you compress music. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was able to install the unit very easily with all the directions that were sent with it from Crutchfield. Once it was installed the configuration of the Bluetooth, the entire reason I bought this unit, was set up very easily. I am now streaming my music from my phone through this stereo and it not only works easily but it sounds great. It's a great value for less than $100.

Pros: Great value for less than $100 The configuration was done easily Great documentation for Crutchfield for my 2002 Toyota Tacoma

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I needed to replace a failed factory radio in my 1990 Toyota 4x4 truck. I wanted a 3.5mm audio input as well as Bluetooth. I've never installed a radio before and I found it was pretty simple. I got the Crutchfield harness for Toyota vehicles of this vintage and it was a couple of hours from start to finish. The only thing that slowed me down was figuring out how to mount it with the factory bracket. It came with a mounting sleeve that I didn't recognize as an optional thing that could be removed. Once I took that off, I was able to find one hole on each side of the unit that matched my factory bracket. The bezel interfered with my dashboard, so I had to leave that off. It works well for both the auxiliary and Bluetooth function, so I was satisfied with the unit. The instructions that Crutchfield sent were a great help in getting it installed. The only thing I wish I had ordered with this unit was their Posi-products connectors. I ended up soldering the harness wires to the unit's wires, which was probably the most tedious part of the installation.

Pros: Easy to install. Good value, functionality, and sound.

Cons: Front bezel interfered with my Toyota dash and had to leave off, leaving it looking a little unfinished.

I really like this headunit, the bluetooth pandora feature is great. Once synced with your phone all you have to do is turn the car on and it will load the last song played. No need to plug your phone in with aux cable. The usb port on the front will also work as a charger. I was also really suprised how much better my stock speakers sounded with this installed. All in all great product with no complaints.

Pros: plays music via bluetooth, aux or usb. very clean looking, doesnt look cheap. can be used for voice controls through your phone.

    Cons: none

Great Unit -- One Large Caveat

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I really like this stereo. I've wanted to go all digital with no mechanics (CD player) for a long time and this unit has many nice features. Love the bluetooth and phone features. Love the nice front panel display and the clean button layout. There is one very large drawback that I didn't realize when buying. For some reason the USB input does not support PLAYLISTS for crying out loud! This is the only sensible way to organize the huge volume of songs most of us have these days. On my wife's car stereo we can load thousands of songs and create playlists for each member of the family. We also create a playlist for favorite albums, grouped by mood or genre, etc.. The only way to do that on the Pioneer system is to create folders, which is not an acceptable substitute since you have to put the same mp3 file into every folder you want that song to be part of. Ridiculous. Get with the times Pioneer.

Pros: Nice looking, good interfaces, plenty of expansion options.

Cons: No playlists, menus can be a bit hard to navigate without a guide.

This was my first time installing a stereo and it went very well. I would say the only complaint i had was the that they didn't pre-strip the wires. It would have been perfect if that was the case! I would recommend and defiantly buy again.

Pros: Pandora connect for Android and Apple!

    Cons: Not pre-stripped.

I ordered this because my car had an old crusty CD player with no aux input or anything. I decided I hadn't played an actual CD in years so I went with this media player. It works great with the options of aux, blue tooth as well as USB inputs. For the price you cant' beat the deal

Pros: -Easy to use -Easy to install -Menus are easy to navigate

Cons: -Can't change color of display (its blue) -Sometimes the blue tooth connection is a bit wonky and makes a short buzzing sound.

I have nothing but good things to say about this head unit. It was my first time ever buying one for my '97 jeep wrangler, and with the installation help from my friend it only took about 30mins to install, its very convenient that Crutchfield sends all the necessary adaptor wires and harnesses to install the stereo. I also bought PULK speakers for my sound bar, the combo made a huge difference in sound quality.

Pros: Bluetooth and the amount of sound settings

Cons: None I can think of

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Radio works and looks good. Great radio for $85. It was $15 cheaper than Wal-Mart. Also, from Crutchfield it came with wiring harness and dash kit (just match the colors, or find wiring chart on spyderchat.com or midshiprunabout.org) Everything you need to install, with exception of connectors. Get at least 10 but no more than 20 connectors 18-22 gauge wire connectors, crimp/stripper, and basic tools set (screwdrivers, and sockets) then you can do this in less than 2 hours.

    Pros: Good Sound, looks good

    Cons: None so far

I actually had fun installing my new stereo from Crutchfield. Very detailed instructions made the install very straightforward and I have absolutely no experience with car audio equipment. The unit itself sounds great, has useful features and looks nice and clean in the dash. It has breathed some new life into my old Honda Civic.

    Pros:

    Cons:

Great feature set, great sound, great price.

Pros: Great feature set, great sound, great price. Works great with my Android 5.0.1 phone. Makes/receives phone calls and plays Pandora via Bluetooth. Plays mp3s off a flash stick and has an aux stereo socket. Sounds great with factory GM speakers and subwoofer.

Cons: Would be nice to see clock while playing or add a clock button. Takes a little too much effort working through menus. More buttons would help. Would be nice to have a dedicated on/off button. Would be nice to change face color from blue to warmer color, like some other radios.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It was relatively easy to install, albeit having instructions that were hard to follow. The Bluetooth picks up your music where you left it off rather than starting from the beginning of a Playlist. I don't like how the clock isn't the default display but it's not too troublesome. The screen is also quite bright at night, which is a bit bothersome. All in all its a great product if you aren't too worried about those little kinks.

    Pros: Simple installation, user friendly

Cons: Screen too bright, clock not displayed

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've used a number of Bluetooth stereos and they've been a bit of a pain to initially set up. This was by far the easiest I've ever dealt with. Despite installing it myself, it works, and people on calls with me report that the sound quality is excellent. Music through Bluetooth audio sounds fantastic, definitely beating out CDs played through the stock stereo. If I had paid twice as much for this stereo I'd have been pleased with the purchase. Great value! I received shipment of the stereo yesterday and installed it myself. Despite never having installed a stereo and not having soldered in at least 20 years, I had no hiccups that weren't my fault. I didn't read the directions and failed to realized that, in order to install the stereo using in my particular vehicle, I'd have to remove the bezel around the face of the stereo AND another piece of aluminum that hugged the stereo. I'm sure the instructions included those details. Silly me!

Pros: Value Sound quality (not an audiophile) Hands-free call quality

    Cons: None so far

Not a bad deal. I bought this to replace a factory HU in my daughter's beetle. She loves the fact that there is no cd player because she says those are for old people. The plug in mic was kinda goofy but there was enough wire to route through the dash just how I wanted it. My daughter loves the Mixtrax option and the way it works well with her iPhone. Great buy at a great price.

    Pros: My daughter is happy

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought a second pioneer MVH-X370BT (2014 Model) for my 1999 mercedes c280 after also having one in my 1993 dodge ram D350. For a budget priced head unit, it sure doesn't skimp on any important features! This head unit is easy to use and packs everything I need like bluetooth, usb, and aux inputs into a really well priced package. Another added benefit is that the head unit itself is very shallow, so it is an easy fit in cramped dash configurations, or in my case left ample room for the Scosche SLC4 Line Output Converter needed to adapt to the bose system on the C280 Mercedes. Crutchfield's phone tech support was also a life saver, and made a really confusing install on the c280 so much simpler. I could have ordered from some other vendor, but the phone support, included adapters, and installation guides have me coming back to Crutchfield time and time again. Thanks for being awesome and I love my new head unit!

Pros: Bluetooth with a mic, usb, aux, low profile, easy user interface, great look, customizable lighting colors. Amazing value!

    Cons: None.

This system did exactly what I was looking for. I went from the factory system with buttons coming off to a new system that connected with my phone and looked very nice! I love getting in the car and my iPhone just starts playing music through the speakers or I can listen to my podcast without hooking up a bunch of wires. The microphone wire was long enough for me to position the mic to pickup my voice great while still being able to fully hide the wire and caller ID on the system is great!

Pros: Works as advertised. Easy to setup

Cons: menu navigation takes a little bit to get used to.

    Stereo Beauty Ring

JD from Columbia, IL on 4/6/2016

    2000 Jeep Wrangler
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Beauty ring around the stereo should be slightly larger so that it covers the sleeve that the stereo mounts in. Also no matter how much I tried bending the little tabs that secure the sleeve to the dash it still allows the stereo to vibrate and move very slightly. This causes a bit of a rattle on bumpy roads which could be annoying. I will try to silence it. Overall great install and very easy. Crutchfield gets two thumbs up from me. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Pros: Great sound. Easy install. Great operation.

Cons: Beauty ring should be larger. Not able to perfectly secure in the dash. It won't fall out and isn't obvious, but it is loose.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I finally upgraded the stereo in my 1993 geo tracker. Good bye, tape deck, hello, streaming audio. Installation was pretty easy. Hardest part was taking the dash apart. It took some internet research to figure out the process. Once in, I fired it up and voila, I now have Pandora streaming through Bluetooth!! Sound quality is excellent, It's a bit more complicated to adjust compared to just having base and treble controls, but the big plus is being able to custom tailor the sound. This is a Big Plus, since the ipod audio controls don't work on Pandora.

Pros: Awesome sound. Bluetooth hooks up almost instantly. Audio controls- while complicated are pretty intuitive to use. I'm very happy with my purchase.- What could be better than driving in So Cal with the top down listening to Hank Sr?

Cons: The tracker is a soft top and with the roof open it can be difficult to see the display screen in bright light.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Stereo feels a tad cheap build quality until you get it in dash and it is fine. The stereo fit fine except for the plastic frame that clips on around the stereo. It doesn't quite snap on with the car's plastic dash frame that you remove before installing. However, a simple small double-sided tape did the trick to hold it on without even noticing from the outside.

Pros: Value!!! It still is a great quality stereo, especially for the price. Installation instructions and customer service is top notch!

Cons: 99% fit. The other 1% I had to improvise.

I replaced my old radio. It had a tape player and a CD player in the trunk- way out of date. I kept my original speakers as they were pretty decent, and got good sound out of them. The unit has a Bluetooth connection so I use it with my cellphone to play my music library off Amazon. Also, if your phone doesn't have Bluetooth you can use the plug-in feed from your headphone plug (just need a male to male .5 mm cored. I have all my music on Amazon so that works great for me.

Pros: Very reasonable price. Bluetooth, and no CD, which I wouldn't use, so why pay for it? Fairly easy to install. Great instructions for installation. Good sound.

Cons: None unless you want the CD player.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This radio is a good value for the price, especially with the included adapter cable. The only issue I had with installing this radio was with the instructions that came with the radio. The images were not clear and there were no words. The radio comes inside of a metal cage. Nothing told me to separate the radio from this cage, and it did not fit properly with the cage. I uninstalled the radio, discovered how to separate the radio from the cage, and wala!. Fits like hand in glove.

Pros: Once I realized that the radio needed to be separated from the cage (not used), it is a nice, economical way to add Bluetooth, USB, other modern features to my old car.

Cons: Factory instructions not too good.

It will also interface with many steering wheel controls - though I opted not to install this. If you have used Pioneer head units previously you'll use this one with ease. With the age of going digital, not having a CD player was no big deal. The radio blue tooth features allows you to stream music and place calls. I placed the micro phone on the plastic molding next to the driver side sun visor. I called a couple people and they said they could hear me perfectly, although I was sitting in the driveway and not driving. Only complaint is that the unit fits so tight in my 2000 tundra dash that the removable face plate seems wedged and won't release. Other than that a great value/buy.

We bought our son his first car. The Radio/cd/cassette was old and didn't sound good. Also you know your old when your son points to the opening for the cassette tape and asks "What's that for?" - We bought this radio because of the Bluetooth to connect to his iPhone. The price was great - Crutchfield included everything to make the switchover super easy. There were no wires to cut. No altering any existing connections. Once installed - BT setup was easy. We feel safer knowing my son can talk hands free while driving. The sound quality is great. Lots of power and bass.

I completed the task in 45 minutes. I have installed several Pioneer decks throughout the years and have come to expect a certain ease and familiarity with the product. I wasn't disappointed. Once completed settings and preferences were easy to follow in the system menu. Sound performances was as expected for a deck of this size.

Pros: Size easy to install in tight spaces. Easy menu options, design and style as expected per Pioneer. Blue Tooth setup with an IPhone was a breeze.

Quality built and does a good job with all the functions as advertised. I installed the mic for the cell Bluetooth in the dash through a drilled hole and my callers have no complaints about sound quality. Audio output is ok and expected for the low power amp and drive my OEM speakers just fine. I bought this unit so I could take hands free calls and stream music from my phone for a budget price. It does both just fine. My only complaint is that the dimmer control is not automatic. Although you can set the level of dimmer brightness for night driving, it should be activiated by your car lights and not a button on the unit itself.

Pros: Low cost, easy installation, plain jane, does what it says.

    Cons: Non-automatic dimmer.

Six Stars !. Got help deciding which unit to get from among many ~ never trust an amateur, is my motto. I think I even asked what questions would be best to ask ;-}. Then, better than that, they figured out which connection kits (Plural) I'd need to get This Unit into My Car and threw them into the box, then shipped it so it came faster than I expected, then it worked better than I thought it would. What could be better than Crutchfield?

Pros: Everything I needed, from advice to connectors, great price and terrific world-class service. Top recommendation! Great place to get this class of gear!! I wish Crutchfield sold everything I need in real life -- best lifetime vendor experience Ever!

Cons: I'm stretching here because I'm delighted with Crutchfield and their product, but I can think of something ~ the Panasonic manual was less than perfectly clear about set-up for use in the car, and the theoretical best-in-world service would recognize that and put in their own more useful instructions. There is only one button to turn, but 753,268 possible functions ~ getting stations pre-set, dimness adjusted, an iPhone set up = Oy!

I wanted to replace the radio in my motorhome and my jeep at the same time. The jeep radio suffered the effects of weather, the motorhome did not have an AUX port. I wanted well defined controls, AM/FM radio, AUX and USB port. Andy, product advisor, was very helpful in helping me pick out a Pioneer M/N MVH-X370BT. The motorhome installation was easy to do following instruction from Crutchfield master sheet. Wire identification was a different matter. I called technical help and talked to Allen. He told me how to use a D cell battery to "pop" the speakers to locate them, then watch the speaker movement to determine polarity. I soldered all the wires, plugged in the connector, turned on the radio, and it worked!! The advantages of this up-grade is my motorhome and jeep is the radios will run longer without drawing down the battery. I am away from the power grid a lot. The sound is much better. And the big advantage is ease of operation. I will recommend this radio to my friends. I hope this will help others making a choice.

I'm not a big fan of reviewing products after using them for only a few days....I've had products that work great initially, but then run into problems pretty quickly (this is a general statement, not one about Crutchfield). That said, I am very happy with the unit and the customer support with the installation. Thus far, it is a tremendous improvement over my 2010 Kenwood unit.

Pros: Bluetooth and other functions. Ease of use. It does a lot, but you don't need a PhD in engineering to operate it. Many station memory buttons. face visibility during daytime (not perfect, but much much better than my Kenwood)

Cons: occasionally had difficulty recognizing device via bluetooth.

This stereo is awesome. I have no experience with cars at all and I know very little about wiring and such (I am a guitar player), but with the free installation kit and some youtube instructional videos, I was able to install it by myself! It sounds great on all genres of music and made my old 99 explorer cool again. My only complaints are that I am constantly afraid that it will blow my stock factory speakers because it is super powerful, and that after installation, a couple of the lights on my dash went out because the radio is too powerful.

Pros: Easy Install Sound Quality Cool Features

Cons: Too Powerful for Factory Speakers and Lights

I got this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. This radio sounds amazing, and it's so easy to use the Bluetooth so that you can listen to music that's on your phone. It was a little challenging to figure out where everything was on the radio (only because he wouldn't read the instructions though) and once we figured it out, it works like a charm.

Pros: Sound quality is great, pretty easy to use, and looks really nice!

Cons: It doesn't show the name of the song that's playing when we use Bluetooth with a Rhapsody app on his phone, but that could be the fault of the app and not necessarily the radio.

Stereo went out in the 91' New Yorker so I ordered this. I just wanted a cheap stereo to make some sound while I'm driving. and since we don't play cds any more I wanted to try these digital media player. After installing it and setting the clock which was a piece of cake since it came with all the wiring harnesses and mounting kit, for FREE!!! I was worried that connecting my Iphone 6 to it was going to be a hassle but turned on the bluetooth on my phone and it synced right up, nice! Surprised me when I got back in and started the car it automatically started playing right where I left off. I like the dimming feature that you can set to the time of day or manually. All in all a really good stereo for the price.

Pros: HPF, SUB control, Audio settings, ease of use

Cons: the wire size on the wire harness is tough to strip and have all the wire left to make a good connection. 22awg or something. haven't figured out how or what mixtrax is.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Pioneer units have always been great about usefulness and ease of operation, this one is no different. Menus are easy to navigate and easy to find all of the settings, bluetooth works well, the only small issue is that I wasn't able to pair a second phone while the first one was still connected. I turned Bluetooth off on phone #1 and paired the second, now both can be on at the same time with no issues. My speakers are in poor condition (next on the list), but the sound quality is as expected, better than factory head units and on par with my other Pioneer units.

Pros: Sounds good, easy to use

Cons: Would like to see a Micro SD slot, but for the money I can't complain. I'd also like to see the Bluetooth microphone mount be a little more flexible, as the C-clip is a little large for where I wanted to mount it but would work much better if the clip was a little less rigid and had more "spring" to it. I got it to work though, not a huge deal.

I'm a huge fan of this unit. I had previously installed another Pioneer unit in the car and was perfectly happy with it. I began looking into Bluetooth units for the car and when I saw this unit had it built in and provided an extra Watt per channel RMS, I figured it couldn't hurt to upgrade. Little did I know that my new unit would be less expensive than thI suppose the only downside is the lack of CD's, but I can't remember the last time I used one. The pairing was on par, very easy to setup. I couldn't be happier and the stereo sounds great!

Pros: Easy to setup. Easy install (aided by the fact that the unit is only half the size of a traditional head unit). Great value!

Cons: No CD's... but who cares?!

    Works and plays great!

Easy to connect Bluetooth, usb control works great. Was thinking about changing stock speakers because they sounded awful with the stock radio. After installing this head unit they sound twice as good. Speakers are still mediocre, but significantly better with this stereo. Phone call clarity is very good, microphone reception seems good. After getting it placed in a decent spot I haven't had any complaints from people I'm talking to. I see no reason not to buy this if you're looking for an inexpensive, good quality radio w/o a CD player, with Bluetooth. Crutchfield is great of course, shipped on time and it was packaged well.

This head unit is pretty cool. I haven't had to purchase a stereo for many years. I'm amazed at how small this was. It didn't need anything that played cd's, and the main purpose was bluetooth. Once the phone is paired, it automatically connects and starts playing the last application playing music. It's great. Works well with an amp and subs. easy installation with the supplied connector kit for my vehicle. Installed in probably about 15 minutes. The amp and wiring took longer, but that is expected.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Purchased this unit to replace a factory radio/cd player in my 2003 Altima. The unit and accessories provided by Crutchfield are top notch; really happy with it so far. Installed in about an hour, and I'm not an expert with electronics. The instructions could have been a little more descriptive but I found some notes on an Altima forum to fill in the gaps. Overall very impressed.

Pros: - Great sound quality - Value, wish I had done this years ago - Control, easy to use, intuitive interface - Bluetooth call quality is very good with included mic, and connects to phone in just a few seconds after turning on

Cons: - Bluetooth music streaming seems to cut out occasionally. I've tried moving the phone in several locations but it seems to happen even right next to the unit. It could potentially be my phone (LG V10). This is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star. If I can remedy the problem I will update to 5 star.

Having never installed a car stereo before, the installation was fairly easy and straightforward. For someone like myself who has never attempted any wiring this stereo was a relatively easy install. I used butt connectors to crimp stereo wires to the Crutchfield harness that was provided. Simple color matching and very straight forward. Make sure to double check that all your connections are good by tugging on both ends if using butt connectors so that when you plug the stereo into the factory harness everything works properly. The stereo drastically improved the sound quality to all four of my aftermarket car door speakers. Bluetooth feature for audio is super convenient. All around great stereo for the price.

It's another great radio in Pioneer's lineup! It has built in Bluetooth, aux port, and a USB slot for your phones or storage mediums. Of course it also has the radio, but honestly who needs that crap nowadays? Anyways, this is in fact the CD-LESS model. So be sure to steer clear if you're looking for a radio to play CDs for you. Other than that, works great, looks great. Even works with Siri. I use an iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 9.3.

Pros: Extremely simple to use and can also set up audio to your liking with the EQ settings. Connects to your phone right after you start your car. Still has simple eject button to pop out the face when you're not in or nearby your car.

I finally decided to replace the factory AM/FM/Cassette radio in my 2000 Honda CR-V, and for some reason browsed the Crutchfield website. I'm glad I did: picked up a great-value unit which significantly improved my quality-of-life while driving.

Pros: Easy to use, plenty of power (nearly 3x the output of the factory unit), accepts MP3 input through mini-jack and USB, and includes Bluetooth connectivity; handy dimmer button easily dims radio display (important!, this reflection in the windshield can be very distracting. This unit came with 6 months Pandora trial (I have Pandora already but that's a great deal, worth $30 at current Pandora pay-account levels); detachable face-plate/control center; simple display/two colors (not gimmicky.

Cons: No CD player (I knew this going in and thought that not having a CD player wouldn't be a problem - it truly isn't, but think this through before purchase because now I think about the music I could listen to without burning to my library, then creating a playlist and putting that on my iPhone or iPod shuffle; the little black-plastic surround (which serves to cover up where the metal radio box meets the plastic housing is flimsy (cosmetic/not important).

    Great Little Radio

    Ossie from Virginia on 1/18/2016

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a great little radio that is priced just right. I installed it in my wife's CRV and it brought the aftermarket speakers to life. The sound is clear and crisp and you are able to adjust the high and low frequencies as well as other audio features found in higher priced radios. It has all the features we were looking for such as hands free phone call, Bluetooth Audio and Pandora control. My only complaint is that it has a lot of features and not a big enough display to view them nor enough buttons to maneuver through them safely while driving. It's still a great radio that does what it's designed to do well.

Pros: Audio, Bluetooth and Pandora CTLs, sound, size, price and Crutchfield support.

Cons: Display is small, too many features to control from the limited buttons make it unsafe to operate while driving.

Amazed by sound quality! Crutchfield suggested and provided universal installation kit, wiring harness, and DIN tool for removal of stock radio. I lost a little time on removal of stock radio when I heard "click" and thought DINs were fully inserted when they were not. For the amateur, you'll also need 20 gauge butt end connectors and crimping tool to connect existing harness leads with new radio. Bluetooth works great with phone and iTunes. VERY pleased overall.

Pros: Super sound quality and ease of installation

Cons: You'll sacrifice steering wheel controls of radio, but that is more than compensated for by the handy remote control. There is a slight mismatch on BT and radio power output, in other words, volume increases dramatically when switching from BT to FM.

Pioneer delivers with quality so I was not surprised with the receiver being a great one. Mic is easily set up and after a day of understanding all the controls it is a walk in the park to use this. Install is relatively easy (Obviously depends on the car. I had a Nissan Maxima 1997). The only downside might be that the color and dim settings are somewhat annoying when you're driving in the day and there might be a glare. Blue is a cool color, but can be hard to see.

Great looking unit, and the best part was this 60 year old grandma installed it all by herself. I was worried about installing it in my Ford Focus, but the Crutchfield installation kit and instructions made it fairly easy. The trickiest part was getting the old unit out, but a check on YouTube for some videos helped. I did not realize how sub par stock radio was until I had this one in and running. I was able to easily pair my iPhone.

This receiver blows my original car cd\radio away. I'm kinda new to the technology though. Just got my first smartphone a couple of months ago. I love the Blue Tooth. There are many settings to get the sound just the way you want it. Getting some of the features set up was a little tricky but only because I'm a little behind the times. You won't be disappointed with this deck. Installation was a breeze.

Pros: None really. This was a great purchase. It does just what I wanted. Great sound.

Cons: I would like to be able to dim more than just the display. Driving at night the buttons are a little bright. So far as I know they are not adjustable. But it may just be a setting I've missed. Just a minor thing though.

I installed this in my wife's car (02.5 Mazda Protege 5) about a week ago and she says she loves it. The mic is mounted above the rearview mirror, and I can hear her very clearly. The sound is a clear upgrade vs. the OEM upgraded 6-CD changer headunit, with way better use of the sub. I docked a star from its rating because of the iPhone/Pandora interface. The way it's documented in the manual, you can only use the head unit to control Pandora on an iPhone using a USB cable, not via bluetooth. You can use the HU to control Pandora on an Android phone though. I don't know what company is at fault here, but this is a weird difference in interface. Since my wife has an iPhone 5s, we sometimes use BT audio instead of the Pandora feature, which allows us to skip tracks, but requires that we use the phone for up/down votes and changing stations. If we use the cable, sometimes it doesn't connect. In conclusion, iPhone/Pandora needs work.

He wanted something with bluetooth and have the ability to play mp3 on flash drive. This head unit has no cd-slot, who uses cds anymore anyway? I love this receiver! It's a quantum leap from its predecessor, a 1994 vintage Am/Fm cassette deck. How did I live without Bluetooth, auxiliary and USB inputs, hands free mobile connection with microphone, 4 speaker + subwoofer outputs, and a huge array of possible sound adjustments? This unit delivers great sound and it's easy to use. The little remote control keeps your hands off the dash and the face plate is removable. Installation was easy using the wiring harness adapter recommended for my old truck and Crutchfield's tech support service. I use my cell phone to play Pandora stations and the music plays on the receiver thru Bluetooth. Sweet!

Pros: Bluetooth, auxiliary & USB inputs, loaded with sound adjustment features, free Crutchfield tech support.

Cons: No CD drive...but who needs one?

This is a great mechless unit! I purchased this to replace the head unit in my '96 F250 Powerstroke. It sounds great even in a noisy diesel truck. It has options galore when it comes to sound adjustments. There is your normal bass, treble, balance, and fade adjustments and in top of that it has a 3 level loudness control, a bass boost adjustment at certain frequencies, and a customizable EQ setting. It also has sub woofer pre outs as well. The unit has USB, 1/8 inch aux, and Bluetooth inputs. The Bluetooth connection also comes with a mic for making and receiving calls on your mobile. I've been told that even in this noisy diesel truck that the person on the other end hears me loud and clear with little to no background noise. The only negative thing I can say about my experience with Crutchfield is that when I received notification from Crutchfield that it had been delivered, it was actually just dropped off at my local post office. I didn't get it until the next day when I picked up my mail. This is not Crutchfield's fault but maybe they could work with the shipping companies to be a bit more precise. I looked for it on my property after I received the notification and honestly didn't know where it was until the next day. Other than that, Crutchfield and Pioneer did a great job!

Pros: Mechless (digital media receiver), sound adjustment options galore, Bluetooth audio and mobile phone connection

Overall good value for the money and boosts the performance of my stock speakers. Had it for week or two now. Works as expected and I am relatively satisfied. I wish there were more options on how the display moves/cycles. I would like to make it cycle faster and there is no setting for that. The volume button is also the menu button. When driving and adjusting the volume, I'm constantly bumping it and triggering the menu when trying to adjust volume. It only has one display color, blue. But I like that color anyway. It looks pretty cool at night time. One thing that bugs me is the clock display. It doesn't show when the key is turned off. I got used to seeing that on my stock radio. And when it's on, I have to choose between the clock or broadcast info or station. I can't see both at one time. Lastly, the menu buttons are kinda small. You have to be very precise otherwise it is very easy to "fat finger" them. Especially when driving and trying to adjust. Overall, a good replacement. But definitely check features in person at another retailer or another audio shop. Also, I chose to have it installed it after I had real trouble getting the stock radio out. That was a VERY good decision as they did in one hour what would have taken me 3-4. Adn they did a great job routing the bluetooth speaker for handsfree. (Turns out they had trouble getting the stock radio out too...very stubborn.)

Pros: Good sound Looks nice, especially at night 6 radio presets per band Front USB and Aux inputs

Cons: Clock does not display when key is turned off Menu system is cumbersome Volume/Menu button combination

Nice little stereo. Simple design. Interface is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Aesthetically simple in a nice way. I like how the volume knob protrudes more than older car stereos I've had - makes for easy adjustment without taking my eyes off the road. I bought this for a car that I'm selling but would definitely consider buying another for my other older car.

Pros: Easy to use. Was easy to pair my iPhone.

Cons: Pandora interface w/ iPhone requires USB connection instead of through BT like Android users can (can stream Pandora through "BT Audio" mode but have to use phone to skip songs/change station). Using Pandora from my iPhone was confusing at first. But then I read the instructions (yeah, I know), changed a quick setting and got it working beautifully.

Was looking to upgrade features in my 99 F150 and this fit the bill. After my wife bought a new car I found myself missing the Bluetooth compatability for both phone use and streaming of Audible and Pandora when driving my truck. Install was cake thanks to Crutchfield's usual extras. Bought from these guys way back in highschool, amazing that the great service still remains 25 years later. Why would anyone buy elsewhere. Only knock on this unit itself is the display is a little old fashioned and difficult to read all in daylight at times but that's Pioneers style and the factory Ford was worse to begin with. This is a great drop in solution, plenty of bells and whistles. Bluetooth sync is seamless and the controls mostly intuitive. Happy to get rid of the tape deck and the addition of the dash pocket is perfect for my phone. Will be removing the 6 disk changer from console next now that I have latest technology in the dash. Thank you for the pleasant addition to my daily commute.

Pros: Almost free, great feature additions without any added bulk or useless features. Personally think Sirius is very over priced so was happy to avoid that built in feature in this headunit. Very happy

Cons: Pioneer dot display style is dated and difficult at times with sun glare. Still big improvement from Ford stock. USB port on Android defaults to autoplay all music tracks including ringtones and notifications rather then just charging device. For those without external USB chargers could see this as annoying but I am nitpicking. All desires accomplished nicely via Bluetooth, will likely not use USB port, just a small dissapointment there as was hoping for additional "Guest charging port.".

I went shopping for a new in-car receiver because I'd grown to hate the stock unit that came with my Hyundai. The biggest aggravation was that it *always* insisted on playing something when my iPhone was connected. It was impossible to stop or pause the playback unless I turned off the entire radio. That rather ruined the ability to, for instance, just listen to turn by turn directions while giving a passenger the quiet necessary to hold a phone conversation in the car. This unit passed the minimal test of allowing me to pause playback without throwing a hissy fit. From that angle, it's a wonderful upgrade to what I already have. So far, I've only used the Bluetooth and USB connections, but both of those operate exactly as advertised.

Pros: Plays well through both USB and Bluetooth.

Cons: I haven't yet figured out how to switch Bluetooth inputs between my iPhone and my wife's iPhone. The LCD display is atrociously bad and it's hard to read the track title and author information. The overall design and color choices look like something designed for a hyper teenager. I was quite disappointed that nothing in this price point has a classier, more adult, design. The plastic buttons feel cheap and flimsy. I hope they last as long as the car itself does.

I wanted a digital player with Bluetooth for my older Ford pickup. I've owned Pioneer radios before so ordered another one. The first issue came with the instructions for removing the old radio. The supplied clips went in okay, but you need to grab the clips and then push them both outwards to release the brackets. The instructions are not clear on this and I had to go online to find out how. The rest of the installation went very smoothly. The wiring harness that comes with it matched perfectly. But programming the radio is not intuitive at all. The radio wants to default to a setting that automatically selects the 6 most powerful radio stations in the area and it took some doing to get that changed. Bluetooth works perfectly but to pair devices I used my phone's setup procedure instead of the radio's. All in all, I like the sound and the look.

Pros: Works great with iPhone 6. Nice small unit which will fit into small shallow installs.

Bought and installed this for my nephew in his 2007 Grand Prix. It's powering a pair of Kicker 6.5 " and stock rears. Decent amount of power, and really easy to use. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Where to start... It's nice and compact, which makes tucking the wires behind it very easy. It looks good. It sounds good. But the bluetooth connection between my phone and the head unit is a little wonky. I cuts in and out every now and then. I guess you could call this the new CD skip, but it is way more than it ever should be. My phone is mounted directly above it, so there's virtually no obstructions and less than 6 inches away from each other . There is no reason why it should ever skip. But for the price, it's a good bluetooth head unit. It connects very quickly, and automatically starts playing my music from Spotify. Ease of use is fantastic. Set up was a breeze and took no longer than 2 minutes. Mounting this in my car was easy, but thanks to Honda(98 Civic), I had to stash the original head unit behind the dash, which was an absolute nightmare to fit back there. But now that installation is done, it's great. I haven't used the microphone yet. I'll update this review when I do.

Pros: Ease of use. Simple set up. Quick connecting time. Looks good. Price

Cons: The Bluetooth connection is kind of shoddy. It skips almost every other song.

This is my 3rd deck in '12 Roadglide, way better than the OEM and the Alpine, perfect fit up, I used the same bracketry from the Alpine, Really didn't use the instructions since it was pretty straight forward to set up and operate, I even removed my 340w amp because it was plenty loud especially with the 3 levels of bass boost and the adjustable equalizer, say good bye to your CDs!

Pros: Operation, initial set up and sound quality even with Thunder headers...

Cons: Microphone cord is too long, yes too long.

    Good unit.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So far so good, I got this to use in my Jeep Wrangler. I don't carry any CDs so a media player made sense. It's small and light. I like the Pioneer user interface. The unit is light and the depth is much shorter than a normal CD receiver. The Bluetooth is bomb proof and always connects. It's way more reliable than My Ford Sync. For a great buy, I have a moder unit with Bluetooth audio, phone, USB, and Pandora controls on the receiver. I'm happy.

Pros: Ease of Instalation, reliability of connection, good sound quality via USB. My Jeep isn't the best platform to rate sound quality but it's equal or better than my factory unit.

Cons: Lack of color choice on the display like similar priced CD receivers.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have to preface this review with a disclaimer. The last aftermarket stereo I installed was an Audiovox 8 track! (well maybe a little bit of a fib, but darn close). This was like falling off a rock it was so easy. It took me 55 minutes to install into my daughters Chrysler PT Cruiser, including the soldering time. The function of this unit was the thing that impressed me the most. It was very easy to have my Motorola phone, and my daughter's i-Phone set up via Bluetooth. The hands free function for the phone is impressive as the tone quality is as good as my factory unit in my Silverado. There is one complaint though, (not with the unit)... It makes the factory Chrysler speakers sound bad. I'll be ordering new speakers SOON!

    Pros: High tech functionality.

Cons: I would like to have a more "Finished" display with text that is easier to read than the dot matrix style of display, but that is just nit picking.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I wanted a deck with Bluetooth and USB for a reasonable price. Easy to install and looks sharp, but sound is mediocre at best. The kids will probably like it as the bass is thick and loud, but the mids are harsh and the top end is weak (some of this is the stock speakers, but the original radio had a better overall sound through the same speakers, except for bass). Stereo separation is fair. The features I specifically bought this for (Bluetooth/USB) both work great although I have not tried to talk over the mic yet (nobody calls me). Mixtrax is dumb although I leave it on anyway, nothing like a low-pass filter sweep between the transition between Kenny Rogers and slayer. My biggest gripes are with the chintzy plastic bezel that continuously falls off the face and the fact that you can't read the display under normal daylight (not even bright) conditions. If you don't set it for auto-dim then night has the opposite effect with the blinding blue lights. All-in-all it is decent, I would buy something better if I had to do it all over again.

Pros: Bluetooth, USB, good bass, looks good, the RDS is kinda nice

Cons: Display brightness is the worst, chintzy bezel falls off, detachable face takes some practice getting off cleanly, overall sound is just "okay" and not what I expected from pioneer.

I've always been shackled by stock radios. Never really getting the most of my music in the car. Well I bought a 10 year old Hyundai XG350 with a nice Infinity stock system and I thought I would be content. Well the stock radio quit working so I bought a used one to replace it and it quit working. So I started shopping around for an aftermarket one and this one was highly recommended by thewirecutter online. I havn't used CDs in ages so not having that wasn't a big deal. I can get over how nice it is to have a radio designed with a phone in mind. Its like a natural extension to my phone now. Calls sound great, music sounds great, and if I pull in my phone via usb it charges it too!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great entry level head unit. I use it 95% of the time to stream from my smartphone (Galaxy Note 2) and it works well. I do get occasional skipping, but not too bad. The BT controls work well, and send proper signals to start and stop playback reliably. The Pandora 'input' I don't find that useful. When it works, it's good and allows you to thumb up and down songs, as well as switch stations, but you have to have the app running on your phone already for it to connect properly, and even then it was hit and miss for me. It's also kinda slow to connect. I had a better experience just using the BT Audio input to play Pandora since it connects faster and more reliably and autoplays without having to mess with my phone when I get in and go. The Mixtrax feature just kinda butchers two songs together (which I expected), though you can specify in what way it hacks your songs. Not really sure if anyone at Pioneer actually listened to this before including it. Only works on USB connected devices Phone call quality is really good. I use it frequently and never hear complaints or requests for repeats. Wish it had a separate volume level for calls vs music. Control menu is deep with lots of options. A little cumbersome to go through since everything is done with the spin knob. EQ is good with a nice range of adjustable frequencies, as are the Crossovers. Installation with Crutchfield kit is super easy, especially since the unit is really small/shallow without the CD player

Pros: Price, size, lots of settings, lots of input methods, good sound quality, easy to read display cycles all track info

Cons: cumbersome menu system, mixtrax is lame, Does not understand Galaxy Note 2 MTP mode (Android v4.4.2)

I installed this in my 2007 cobalt ss with the pioneer upgraded sound system. This stereo has given me bluetooth and that is the main reason for this purchase. The bonus features I have gotten with this stereo is you can actually control the bass coming from the factory sub. Music streaming has had a couple glitches but nothing that cant be stopped with reconnecting to bluetooth, has only happened twice. Sound quality is better then expected for the price. Very Pleased With Pioneer Once Again.

Pros: Bluetooth hands free calling, controls all control for Iphone.

Cons: Very plan looking lite up, colors very plain also.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First of all, let me start out with saying that I am not an audiophile. As long as there is no noticeable speaker distortion, I am happy. I bought this unit to replace my factory Infinity system in my 2004 Dodge Durango. I travel for my work, so I am on the road a decent amount. I usually don't listen to the radio. I just use apps on my phone to play music, podcast, or audio books. Since my stock system didn't have an Aux port, I was forced to use a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. ANDRIOD through Bluetooth: I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 so I really wanted a system that was geared towards Android and not the "I" product line. I looked all over trying to find reviews on systems that mentioned how the head units did with Android. I couldn't really find anything. So I took a gamble with this and it better than I expected it to be. I love this unit. I am able to control every app that plays any kind of music. So far I have been able to control the stock media player, Audible, Spotify, podcast addict, Pandora, youtube, and pocketcaster. By control, I mean I have been able to: pause, skip songs, turn off and on random, and other functions. When you play something through Bluetooth over the phone, it displays the track title, artist, and album on the screen. If your phone Bluetooth is turned on, the unit will automatically sync with it when it turns on.

Pros: Works really well with Android Very Easy to use Cheap

Cons: Screen can be a little hard to see in direct sunlight

Pros: great sound front usb Bluetooth with mic Bluetooth audio stream Small depth space for installing because there is not cd drive it is about half the size of a regular car stereo which makes for an easier install in some cars

Cons: none yet but I have only used it for a week. Mind you this is a value deck IMO and I am treating it as such.

I was looking for more audio options for my F250 XL than the stock AM/FM it came with. I wanted to be able to play music from my phone, Ipod, or memory stick and did not want to bother with CD's. This Pioneer does it all! I gave 4 stars for ease of use because there are a lot of menus and it's not too intuitive on how to do things like setting the clock. Stock radio was a single DIN, but I wanted a double DIN and used the Metra kit for the install. The second slot is perfect for storing the remote and I-pod when plugged into the unit. I am very pleased with the overall buying experience with Crutchfield. Their recommendations for Metra install kit, wiring harness adapter, and antenna adapter were excellent and made the install go very well.

If you're looking for an upgrade of an old, pre-bluetooth, radio for very little money, you could do a lot worse. I found this radio via thewirecutter.com and bought it via Crutchfield when I saw that it came with EVERYTHING I needed to install it. I had never installed a radio before, but it was a snap in my 2003 Subaru wrx. Even the wire colors matched up :-) The bluetooth integration is great, Siri eyes free is awesome, just press and hold the main dial and the familiar beep greets you and you're good to go. The sound quality of the hands free is great and plain ol' music sounds better than the factory standard radio. For the money, you can't go wrong.

Pros: Cheap, excellent bluetooth functionality, easy to sue.

This stereo transformed the sound in my 2004 Toyota Prius, taking it from muddy and quiet to clear and loud. I was considering also getting an under-seat sub, given how poor the sound quality was before, but now I don't need to. I feel like I've gotten a new car! The Bluetooth connection sounds great, with very few interruptions, and the interface is fairly straighforward. The only consideration is that this stereo seems to only store one Bluetooth device at a time. This means, if you connect a friend's phone, you have to disconnect/forget/delete that device before connecting yours. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of if you're gonna be switching devices a lot.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First of all, Crutchfield saved me a lot of money over having someone else install it. I was floored to find that everything I needed was included for free. That saved $40 right there. The hardest part of the install was crimping wires together. It's seriously so easy to install. The ONE THING I couldn't find an answer for is whether it would play streaming audio from Google Play Music. IT DOES! I get in the car, turn it on, the bluetooth faeries hug and kiss, and bam, whatever I was listening to on Google Play Music is now on my car stereo! No wires to connect or plug in. Super cool. And the artist/song titles show up on the screen. Car stereo bucket list item #1 realized. Phone calls pause the music and you press the right button on the unit, and you can talk to peeps. The microphone was incredibly easy to install as well, and callers said the sound quality was perfect. Car stereo bucket list item #2 realized. Why only four stars? The shiny surface is hard to read, and adjusting the brightness of the display takes several button pushes... though honestly, I haven't really read the manual at length, so maybe there's an auto adjustment. But the sunlight reflects off the surface even on the bright setting at times. The volume knob doesn't feel great either - I like Alpine's knobs better. But the main reason is the music skips sometimes. I'm finding that rebooting my phone (Moto X 2nd Gen) makes it stop, but I might have to return the unit if that becomes too much of a pain.

Pros: Bluetooth works with Android phone and Google Play Music! Decent sound quality (not an improvement over "premium" factory audio), great price, easy install. Microphone (wire plugged into back of unit, not technically "bluetooth") is very good.

Cons: Bluetooth skips until phone is rebooted, display sometimes has a glare, brightness and other controls are not easy to adjust, though not impossible. It just takes several selections to get what you want, and that's a lot of time not looking at the road. The volume knob isn't a great experience.

I was looking for a digital media player to get my brother for his 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme for his Birthday, and I came across this one sort of by accident. I wanted to make sure that it could play music files from a flash drive and from an Android phone (he has one). This fulfilled both requirements pretty brilliantly with two caveats. One: It is technically made for iPhones, so the ease of use with an Android is not quite as simple. For instance he has to connect to blue tooth before connecting to Pandora, whereas my iPhone got Pandora to play automatically. Two: it has to be a certain type of flash drive and formatted correctly, so you may have to try a few different sizes and styles before finding the right one, but when you do, it plays music BEAUTIFULLY from flash drives. Over all a great product

I hooked up an iPod via the USB port & also paired my HTC One M8 phone via Bluetooth. Streaming various apps through Bluetooth (Spotify, TuneIn, BeyondPod) all sounded excellent. The built in Pandora is also flawless & sounds great. Phone calls are also clear & easy to receive & make. The included microphone is very clear & sensitive. Great stereo for the money. I like that I can use folders in the USB drive as play lists and play randomly within the desired folder. When using the microphone, people on the other end of the call can hear me clearly, and that is usually with the top down on my Miata. My main reason for buying Crutchfield is the service. I was told I needed the Scosche C4MA02 Wiring Interface because they knew my factory stereo was a Bose system. When installing the stereo, it wasn't clear what to do with one of the wires. A quick call to Crutchfield solved the question.

Pros: Bluetooth ease of use. Playing randomly within a folder on the USB drive. Crutchfield customer service.

Cons: When changing the volume, it is easy to tap the knob and be in the menu. It's annoying when you want to concentrate on driving. I'm sure other stereos have a better sound quality, but probably not other stereos in this price range.

Pros: Super Easy to set up and use

    Cons:

Bought this for my 2012 Nissan xterra so I could hook up my Samsung s5 and its incredible! The sound quality and features can't be beat for the price. Bluetooth is so cool, auto connects when I get in the car and plays my Spotify instantly .

    Pros: Everything

Cons: Bit tricky to understand how to install but I'm inexperienced

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Received unit and other than no case for the face was very pleased. Unit has excellent functionality. Customizable eq, blue tooth streaming, hp filters and low pass if you have a sub, remote control that has a good layout. Love the minimal mounting depth as this mainly why I chose a digital media unit. Menu layout not difficult and love the way it reads the mp3 and wma files on display. Previous unit didn't show the root directory near as simple and as it was put on drive as compared to this unit. Only complaint is no face cover at this point. Other than that money well spent and decent sound for first time using an internal amp in last 15 years.

    Pros: Function, performance, value

    Cons: no faceplate case

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For the price, this is pretty much as good as it gets. Super simple install and since theres no internal CD player, the unit is a lot shallower in depth. Connected mine to a jailbroken iPhone 6+ (everything passes through the BT-audio source, without issue.) and I also keep tracks on a 128GB flash drive plugged in the front port too.

Pros: If you have an iPhone and want it to connect seamlessly, buy it. It even talks to jailbroken devices without problems.

Cons: If I leave the stereo on and walk out of range with the phone, I have to open settings/bluetooth on iOS and reconnect the link when I return. If you kill power first, then walk out of range. Then the reconnect reestablishes within 4-8 sec.

This lil deck is great! Installed easily and quickly and looks great in the car! The Bluetooth is my favorite part, connects right away and works great. The audio for phone calls works very well too!

Pros: Installs quickly, Bluetooth works well, automatically connects to my phone

Cons: No CD player (but you know that when you buy it and really don't need it), you need Pandora app running in the background for autoplay to start

    Great for the price

Controls are a little quirky, but all in all a great unit

Pros: Bluetooth works well, good interaction with Android (Samsung 4S)

Cons: Quirky controls, when trying to scan a station if you have a station saved at a lower range the search starts from the beginning each time...not at the last saved point.

This is a great stereo, I had no need for a CD player so the $30 dollar discount was nice. The install was extremely easy too.

Pros: Dimmable display is great for night time commuting, and the controls are very straightforward.

Cons: The only problem I've had so far is that after using Google Now voice control, the stereo becomes stuck on voice control until you press the source button back to bluetooth.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a great inexpensive unit that, coupled with the Crutchfield installation kit parts (and removal tools for old radio), is a great value. This is the first mechless unit I've ever had so I was surprised by how small and lightweight it is. The installation instructions supplied by Crutchfield were good, leaving a little to figure out (Ranger pickup). I like the sound quality, much better than the standard Ford radio. It would be nice to have the clock display while the radio is playing. The brightness adjustment is two levels only, could use more levels.

Pros: Price. Crutchfield installation package with radio. Sound quality.

Cons: Clock display not always on. Backlit brightness is two levels only.

Very easy to setup and install the radio.

Pros: Connected my phone in seconds once the radio was installed.

Cons: Someone forgot to put the install manual in the package. So I had to YouTube it.

Crutchfield response on 2/23/2015 These days, many car stereos don't include an owner's manual in the box. Manufacturers either include it on a disc or send you to their website to download it. You can also find it on our website. On the stereo's web page, click on the "Details" tab. At the top of that tab, click on "What's in the box?" or just scroll down below the chart. The first item appearing in the "What's in the box?" box is a link to the owner's manual. You can view it in your browser or download it to your computer.

I have used Pioneer headunits in every one of my cars since I started driving and have never been disappointed. The audio quality is much better than the original stereo and the Bluetooth is awesome. You can't go wrong ordering from Crutchfield either, their prices may be a few dollars more than the local store but on most headunits they include all of the installation components for free.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Everything about my experience with this receiver has been great. Crutchfield made the installation easy by including every wiring harness, piece of mounting hardware, and even specialized tool that I needed, not to mention great illustrated instructions for my specific vehicle! It was by far the easiest installation I've ever had, out of the dozen or so I've done in my life. Major props to the Crutchfield team! The unit itself was very easy to set up and pair with my phone via Bluetooth. Although it does include usb and aux inputs, which is nice, I haven't found myself using them because the Bluetooth works so well. It automatically pairs with my iPhone when I start the truck, and even un-pauses spotify if I have the app running! Make a phone call or hit the 'Siri' button, and it automatically pauses the music until I finish. In my opinion, it's a very nicely polished system. One thing that has really surprised me is the sound quality. Even though I still have the factory speakers, they sound so so much better with this unit powering them. I don't think I could be much happier with this receiver... Or with Crutchfield's service! You won't be disappointed.

Pros: Great value. Convenient features. Great sound quality.

    Cons: None!
