Overview

Our take on the JL Audio CS110G-TW3

It may look like something from a sci-fi movie, but JL Audio's CS110G-TW3 10” sub enclosure is actually a design marvel. JL nestled their shallow TW3 10” subwoofer into a sealed enclosure that takes up less room than conventional 10" subwoofer boxes. This sub handles up to 400 watts RMS so it still delivers that fat low end you want, while its 2-ohm impedance makes it a perfect match for a mono amplifier.

JL Audio 10TW3 subwoofer

JL's 10" TW3 shallow-mount sub fits inside their newly designed enclosure.

JL Audio used their extensive engineering know-how to build a super-thin subwoofer that still offers big performance, compressing the sub's motor structure into a shallow package without losing the extended excursion you need to deliver big bass. And for you, that means serious performance in a slender package.

One tough sub enclosure

While they may have cut the corners on the medium density fiberboard (MDF) enclosure, JL didn't cut corners on quality. They incorporated their V-Groove™ construction to ensure rigid box joints that won't leak air or resonate. Combined with the slim sub, this new design gives you a sturdy sub box that doesn't take all your cargo space. JL finished off this ProWedge enclosure with a tough polymer grille that protects the entire subwoofer, unique for an enclosed subwoofer design.

Great sub. Packs a huge punch and takes up Very little space. Just be very careful. If you play this too hard you will definitely blow it. I've done it twice already. I will be moving to duel 12" tw1 and will hopefully have better luck

Really nice blending, compact sub. Won't blow your doors off but i liked this better than the dual 10 box they sell.

Pros: Small.

Cons: Not an SPL machine.

Very Impressive..Quality Bass!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I switched from an under seat sub to this JLAudio subwoofer. What a difference in sound output and quality. I won't ever push it hard enough before turning down the volume in my '13 Subaru WRX hatchback. I have it placed behind my seat when the back seats are folded down and installed the cord long enough to place in the hatch area when needed. I use a velcro to mount as the box has carpet finish which work with the loops velcro to hold. It's connected to a small 5 ch amp under the passenger seat. I thought about getting the other cheaper JLAudio sub, but happy to have gone with this model. The audio quality is impressive compared to some of the more popular less expensive models I've heard in other vehicles. You do get what you pay for.

Pros: Audio quality and output for the size. Convenience of fully enclosed subwoofer - non exposed woofer.

Cons: A bit heavy and more expensive compared to some other 10 inch subwoofers.
