The JL Audio Stealthbox® custom-fit subwoofer delivers incredible bass in a package that takes up minimal space and blends in with your vehicle's interior. JL Audio designs Stealthboxes to fit in specific vehicles, then loads them with appropriate subwoofers for optimal performance. Pair the system with an appropriate amp and wiring for stellar concealed bass.
Perfect sound to go with the perfect fit
JL Audio puts months of research and design into each Stealthbox® custom-fit subwoofer to ensure not only that it fits, but that it sounds better than any other custom enclosed system. First, JL Audio determines the ideal shape and mounting location for each enclosure, so that it looks like an original part of the vehicle it's designed for. Next, they mount each high-performance subwoofer so it delivers amazing firepower from within its unique enclosure, without sacrificing clarity or musical depth.
The fiberglass enclosure offers superior rigidity while allowing more interior volume, so the sub can turn out louder, deeper bass. JL Audio craftsmen then laminate, grind, join, and finish each Stealthbox® by hand. The end result: full-bodied, distortion-free bass from an impressively stealthy enclosure.
Enjoy enhanced, custom-fit sound
This Stealthbox® enclosure contains one 13" TW5v2-2 subwoofer. It installs under the driver side of the rear bench seat. Please check with us before purchasing by using the vehicle selector on our site, or calling an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to verify fit information.
JL Audio has rated the difficulty of this Stealthbox installation as low. You should be able to install this enclosure if you have any experience with car audio.

This thing is LOUD!!
Decent subwoofer. Not what I was looking for. If you want decent bass fine but if you want loud slamming bass then no.
Pros: Decent lows.
Cons: I disagree with others. The price is too high for this sub.
Ok people this is the best sub and box I have found. I know the price makes you look for other products and hoping you get a quality product and good bass. I had purchased three different boxes that all say they fix under the seat of my 2016 F150 Limited. Well some do but the seat sat up a little or only held a ten. I had one that held a 12 and I was fairly happy till I decided to pull the trigger one this unit. Well let me tell you it fits perfect under the seat with no raised seat. Second of all this thing hits like nothing you can find to fit under the seat of my Supercrew. So I started with a Rockford amp I had P1000X5 birth sheet was 1381. The sub was pushing 625 @ 2 ohms and sounded amazing also I have the JL fix85 for my sony system to work. This sub woke up and said I am here and yes you should have spend a grand on my 2013 and now this. So still not being satisfied I bought the JL 900hd 5 channel amp. Well it should be less amps per the specs than my Rockford but let me tell you JL Audio has this figured out. My truck completely rocks and the bass is like you have 1000 watt 1 ohm amp on a 15in sub in huge box. I have Kappa perfects in front and rear and and this thing is absolutely the best system I have ever had and I have had several to say the least. Spend the money the truck was over 60 whats a grand on your sub grand on your amp and 500 on speakers to have the best truck on the market and the best system your friends only wish they had.
Pros: Every part of this unit is a pro space looks sounds and fit
Cons: None the price is not a con trust me
This sub hits hard. I knew JL would make a quality product but wow, It's almost overkill. Fits nicely under rear drivers side seat. Very happy with this purchase!
Pros: Fitment Value Out of sight
I bought this set-up because I had a Stealthbox in my 2006 F150 Supercrew (with the 10w3) and it slammed for a 10" sub. Very good design for both sound and space saving. I was a little hesitant to spend the $950 on the Stealthbox for my 2012, which has the shallow mount 13". I couldnt find anywhere local that had one installed to listen to. I finally bit hte bullet knowing that JL's engineering is sound. Man.....just installed it this weekend and WOW! Despite having to break it in, it sounds great! Deep and tight bass. I have it paired with the XD600/1 and it is a perfect match. Definitely recommend it. If I had to come up with a con it would be the mounting situation, it calls for drilling holes in the floor of your truck. I do not want to do that at all.
Pros: great fit and finish sounds great looks good
Cons: poor mounting design
I have this in a 2012 F150 SuperCrew and can't be happier. I have a Pioneer AVH-X1500DVD head unit and MTX Thunder 500.1 mono amp to push this speaker. The amp is rated to push around 400W to a 3-ohm load. Even though the speaker is rated for up to 600W RMS, the possibly underrated 400W is plenty of power. The enclosure is very solid. They give you hardware to bolt it to the floor of your vehicle, but I am currently not utilizing the hardware. It seems to stay in place just fine without the brackets (unless I get in a wreck, of course). If you decide not to use the brackets, be sure and insert the bolts anyway. I didn't realize until I heard port noise that the threaded holes for the bolts reach the chamber for the rear of the speaker. The bass response is outstanding. I've tested with various types of music, including hard rock, jazz, and rap/hip-hop. Drum kicks are solid and bass lines are powerful all the way down to the lower registers (the ones that you can almost feel more than hear). The response is very tight and fairly flat through the sub-bass and lower mid-bass ranges. I'm not sure if JL tuned this enclosure specifically for the vehicle, but it certainly sounds like it. I cringed at first sight of the price for this unit, but after hearing the clean, tight sound it produces and seeing how well it fits in the vehicle, I'll recommend it to anyone that has room in the budget for it.
Pros: Accurate bass, very clean and tight sound
Cons: A little pricey, but you get an excellent product
Great product! Reliable tough and sounds awesome in my truck! Very satisfied with my purchase and great value!!
Overview: JL Audio's Stealthbox subwoofer systems are designed to hide away in a specific vehicle. Please consult "Outfit My Car" to confirm compatibility with your vehicle.
Enclosure Construction: Stealthboxes are hand-crafted from fiberglass and/or Advanced Molded Composite (AMC) materials. Fiberglass delivers a level of enclosure rigidity and dimensional stability not possible with other enclosure materials, allowing wall thickness to be reduced compared to a typical wood enclosure. This gives you more interior box volume for a given external volume. Fiberglass and AMC materials are very strong and can be molded into very complex shapes; giving JL Audio the ability to design your Stealthbox to fit perfectly into tight spots and minimize intrusion into your vehicle's useful space. Each Stealthbox is laminated, ground, joined, and finished by hand in the USA. Proprietary techniques and materials developed by JL Audio through years of fiberglass manufacturing experience ensure consistent quality and performance.
Thin-Line Woofer: This JL Audio Stealthbox consists of one JL Audio 13TW5v2-2 Thin-Line subwoofer in a sealed enclosure. The sub can handle up to 600 watts RMS (1200 watts peak) and presents a 2-ohm load at the enclosure's speaker terminal.

the JL Audio Stealthbox comes packaged with all of the hardware needed to mount the enclosure. You'll also need to add an amp to power the sub along with the required wiring. In the manual for the Stealthbox, JL Audio recommends using their HD750/1 mono amp: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136HD7501/item.html I hope that helps. HMM. MAYBE. AS LONG AS THERE ISNT A SEAT BRACKET IN THE WAY. I WOULD HAVE TO LOOK UNDER MY SEAT TO SAY FOR SURE, AS I PUT IT ON THE DRIVER SIDE. [ JOSH Oct 22, 2015 ]
You will have to remove the factory sub if you have one [ derek Oct 22, 2015 ]
Yes [ derek Oct 22, 2015 ]
The only major installation difference is that you'll have to run wires from your two rear speakers to get an audio signal for your sub. With or without the Sony audio you'll still need an amp. There are some excellent online tutorials out there. Good luck! [ CAMERON Aug 13, 2015 ]
YEs you will need an amp [ Bradley Aug 12, 2015 ]
Yes I would do a hd750/1 [ derek Aug 12, 2015 ]
