JL Audio's Evolution C2 Series speakers bring precision sound to your vehicle. They'll reproduce subtle elements of your music like delicate woodwinds or soprano vocals, then turn on a dime to deliver the deep thrum of the bass or thunder of the drums.
The C2-570X 5"x7" speakers feature rugged polypropylene cones that can handle high power without distortion, so you get full-bodied low tones you can really feel. The 3/4" silk dome tweeters serve up smooth-sounding high frequencies that won't tax your ears, adding a satisfying dose of realism to your soundstage. Built-in crossovers make sure your tunes play smoothly across the whole musical spectrum.
These speakers also fit in the 6"x8" speaker openings in many vehicles. Grilles not included.

Sound great very high quality
Fits perfectly in back speaker holes. Easy to install and sound GREAT!!!!
I have always loved jl audio speakers and subs. These speakers have been just as good as many of the other products from this company. The sound to me is perfect. It's smooth, not to hissy or harsh and not flat and muddy. Power them with in their specs and they crank with out distortion.
Pros: Good fit, smooth sound, will perform like a 6.5.
installed 4 speakers in my 2005 F150 STX, Crutchfield sez they fit the rear doors only but fit my front doors fine(no power windows or locks). Not as much bass as the Kenwoods I had installed but the mids and highs are much brighter, also using an 8" JL subwoofer so bass is no problem. Stereo is the one time to think like Tim the Tool Man, More Power. These speakers sound better with more power, even if you don't crank it up, but by all means, please do crank it up.....
I finally decided on replacing my stock speakers in my 12 mustang. Even though I enjoy making my own music under my right foot with 815rwhp I still like the radio every once in a while. After checking reviews I got hooked on these. Ended up ordering them and the next day they came in. Took about an hour to do the front and rear speakers. Soon as I turned in the radio I was excited, I have the shaker 500 system but the stock speakers weren't cutting it. These made a huge difference and would highly recommend to anyone.
Pros: Nice and clean!
These are some fantastic speakers! Very easy to install for a dude that isn't very handy to begin with.
Pros: Great sound! Easy installation. 1st time crutchfield customer.
Cons: Nothing at all
I purchased two pairs of the C2's for my Ford F250 (FX4). Headunit is a Kenwood DNN 990HD (left from a previous install) and they are powered by a single 4 channel Focal amp (150 watts x 4 @ 4 ohms). For the low end, I picked up a powered JL ACS110LG (with the TW 10 shallow mount sub). Let me begin by saying the 5x7 coaxials (2 way) really surprised me. Coming from a $10,000+ install in a different vehicle, I had set the bar very low for my truck given the cost of my investment. Boy, was I surprised when I had finished setting everything flat and cranked the system up. The highs (from about 1k to 16k in my case) were very crisp and clean. So clean that I tuned them down at the headunit. The midrange was surprisingly solid and responsive, hanging with everything I threw at it (except extremely heavy metal). The midbass had plenty of energy, but I had to tune my amp to pass only 130 hz+ (at a 24db slope) to keep out the low-lows, which were trying to rob the midrange of its responsiveness. Overall, with about 15 minutes of tuning, Im very pleased. Keeping in mind what the system in my daily driver is, that's saying a lot!
Pros: Clean from 150 hz +, with great high range and solid midrange
Cons: Limitation of basically all standard 5x7 coaxials - you cant try to push too many sounds through them and expect the full range to stay clean. Basically, thrash metal is probably not going to sound great through these the way a 3-way component setup would.
These are the best speakers I have ever owned. I will buy JL again.
Pros: Great sound and bass
These fit into my 2006 F150 and sound so much better than factory speakers. They have better base and are clear at all volume levels. I am running these off the factory head with no amp but plan on adding an amp or different head unit before long.
Pros: Good bass Clear sound quality
Really makes the music come alive, especially the highs. A little short on bass, but I guess 5x7 can only do so much.
Pros: Easy install and wide sound.
Cons: I bit expensive, but a good product.
Great sounding speakers. Great quality.
We'll worth the money. Sounds crisp.
Crisp, clear sound. These speakers sound incredible!
Pros: Installed four of these speakers in my F-250 in less than one hour
I was looking to get better sound out of my stock head unit in my '12 F150 (base stereo with tweeters in the "A" pillar) so I picked up a set of these for the front door. These speakers were a huge improvement over the stock ones. They produce detail in music I have never heard before. I love contemporary jazz and these speakers added tons of detail and a very noticeable kick of bass to the music. The page states that these will not fit in the rear doors but I test fit them and they fit with no issues. After a test listen to these in the rear door they did not produce the bass they do in the front doors but still sound great so I added a set of JL TR570-CXI's to the rear doors to round it out. I am very pleased with this combination!
Pros: Detail and clarity in the music
I wanted to replace the front speakers with something better than the paper stock speakers. What a great upgrade, even with the stock head unit. Speakers are crisp and clear. Don't expect super bass. The speaker is just to small for that, however, the bass tones are rich and clear. They are perfect for a smaller car like the fussion. They fit right into the existing door speaker openings. Took longer to get the door panel off than it did to replace the speaker. yes this speaker is a little more expensive, but I believe it well worth paying a little extra. Good construction and great sound. I will be looking to get another set to replace the rear door speakers in the future.
Pros: Great sound, Good construction
Good speakers, clear highs, clear mids, the lows are not that great though.
I am thrilled with these speakers. They are replacing those supplied by the factory so they were bound to be better. There are instruments and words that I couldn't even hear before but now it is as clear as can be. They also fit right into my PT Cruiser, replacing the others.
I bought these speakers to replace the front door speakers for my 2013 Mustang GT w/out the Shaker system. I was very disappointed in the factory sound system that this car had and upgrading the speakers was a no brainer! I was looking for a speaker with some deeper bass and clearer, crisper sound, and after lots of research and reading customer reviews, I decided to go with these speakers from JL. Also from my research, I found out that the mustang speakers are designed to have the majority of the music come from the front door speakers which is why I decided to just replace only these for now. The speakers came very quickly (3 days after I placed the order) and Crutchfield was generous enough to include the free speaker connectors which made for a clean and easy installation! They also provided detailed instructions on installation which made the install very easy, even for the most inexperienced customer! Overall: I do recommend these speakers as an upgrade to any newer model Ford w/out the Shaker system. However, if you do decide to go with any speaker replacement without an aftermarket receiver, I highly recommend buying an amplifier as well (which will be my next purchase)!
Pros: Versus the factory speakers: I certainly feel that these speakers produce better quality, crisper sound with a touch more bass than the factory speakers. The lows are a bit deeper and the voice quality is spot on. Now the lyrics of the songs are clearer and not drowned out by the music.
Cons: There is not much I can say bad about these speakers other than the bass was not as deep as I was hoping for as a direct factory replacement without an amplifier powering them. Even though I wasn't expecting subwoofer type bass output, I found that the factory amp just isn't powerful enough.
I purchased these for my F150 after encountering an odd issue where the passenger door speaker would intermittently sound blown. Rather than trying to deal with the dealership, I decided to just go ahead and upgrade. Very happy I did, as these sound much better than the stock speakers ever did.
Great sound, great clarity even at high volume. Very high quality, IMHO the best you are going to get unless you step up to component speakers.
Pros: High quality, great sound.
Ford's "premium sound" system with GPS & SYNC sounded so bad that it was basically unusable: Muddy bass, muffled highs; weak midrange. I couldn't understand voice when driving. I did some research and found out this is a common complaint. It turns out that a new head is not recommended and, as of this writing, is not even available. So I tried replacing the 4 door speakers with the JL audio and what a difference! The construction and sound quality of the JL speakers was day-and-night different than the OEM speakers that went in the garbage.
Pros: Superior sound and construction
I have 4 of these speakers in a '96 Mustang GT, they are powered with a JL Audio XD400/4 amp and these speakers don't disappoint not one bit. They have such a crisp, clear, clean sound it's almost unbelievable no distortion. The bass these speakers produce are very surprising also. Wouldn't recommend any other brand other than JL Audio. Yes, they are pricey but they are worth it. I listen to a lot of rock, metal, rap/rock, country, and many other genres. Sounds great and you can hear all the background music which you miss hearing with other brand speakers. Highly recommend buying these speakers!
Pros: Crisp, Clear, Clean Sound at any volume
I originally purchased some Kenwoods and installed it in the front and rear of my Ford Edge, powered by a Pioneer head unit. The Kenwood speakers sounded ok but It wasn't great. My ears kept yearning for something better. So after much research I decided to send the Kenwoods back to Crutchfield in exchange for the JL C2570x and WOW!! what a diffirence! The sound is much cleaner. The details are there, the highs are nice and crisp, even the bass is is tighter. Even though these cost a considerable amount more than the Kenwoods, I feel that it's worth the the money for the sound quality you get in return. I can't wait to hear how it sounds once I have an amp. Installed with it. I can only think perfection!!! Thanks to Crutchfield for making it easy. I will never buy from another electronics retailer again!
Pros: Overall sound quality. Highs are nice and crisp and bass is tight. Details are clear.
Cons: price but you get what you pay for.
great improvement over Ford factory speakers. great quality and good value - you can spend less (or a lot more), but these are all the sound I need from a 20-watt per channel new JVC CD receiver. Bass is plenty good. Mid-range and treble are superbly better! When I ordered these, Crutchfield indicated there could be a fit issue for 2007 Ford F-150 because the depth was 0.06 inches more than original equipment. There was plenty of room to spare. You could even use the speaker baffles sold separately with no problem. However, there are two extra mounting tabs at the ends of these speakers that I had to cut so that it would fit into the existing door speaker mount with the existing four holes and screws. All you need is a hacksaw with a sharp blade and basic hand tool skills. - Happy customer.
Bought these to replace my old Infinity Reference 6812CF to get cleaner highs. I have to say these are definitely a nice improvement and well worth the money. I'm powering these speakers with a JL Audio XD400/4 complimented with my JL Audio 8" sub woofer in a 2005 Ford Ranger Regular Cab. I'm tempted to check out the JL Audio C5-570x, however for the price difference I may wait a while.
I recently purchased these speakers for a F250 Crew Cab(Lots of Room) and All I have to say is WOW!!.....I set these up with a 5 channel JL amp and 2 Pioneer shallow 10' subs. To truly test these babys out, I popped in Transformers into my DVD to get a wide range of sound and these speakers performed flawlessly!...You just can't go wrong!!
What I would expect from JL audio, Very clean highs, lows that are pretty deep for a 5x7, speakers will not distort with the stock head unit, guess the amp is next! I wish I would have purchased them sooner.
