Make guitars stand out in your mix

Sennheiser designed their e 609 Silver specifically for capturing the sound of amplified electric guitars. Place this mic's silver face up close to your cabinet — it can render even loud stage rigs with warmth and detail.

The e 609 features a rugged metal-body and a super cardioid polar pattern to keep its pickup area tightly focused. The mic's shock-mounted capsule minimizes unwanted motion noise, and its humbucking design cancels out low-frequency hum.

Features

Overview: The Sennheiser e 609 Silver is a cardioid dynamic microphone that is designed for close-up miking of guitar amps. It can also be used for drums and other percussion instruments. The microphone has a rugged metal construction for long-term reliability, and an advanced shock-mount design. The e 609 Silver is manufactured in Germany, and comes with a swivel mic stand mount, and a zippered storage pouch.

Pickup Pattern: The e 609 Silver has a supercardioid polar pattern, which has a narrower pickup angle than a cardioid, offering more rejection of sound from the sides and more sensitivity to sound directly behind the capsule. The flat design makes it easy to position the mic directly in front of the sound source.

Construction: The e 609 Silver has a rugged metal body that is able to withstand the rigors of a live performance. It is resistant to shocks, and isolates handling noise. The mic is built to handle high sound pressure levels.

Mounting: The e 609 Silver comes with the MZQ 100 stand adapter and a removable thread adapter that screws onto any microphone stand with a 5/8" or 3/8" thread.
