Crutchfield at CES: Sennheiser HD 4.40BT and HD 4.50BTNC headphones
Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC - NFC-compatible for one-touch Bluetooth pairing with compatible smartphones
I think of noise cancellation and Bluetooth as the "peanut butter and chocolate" of headphones. Each is great on their own, but they're even sweeter when you put them together. The Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC wireless headphones offer both at a reasonable price. Music plays wirelessly from your phone, while Sennheiser's NoiseGard™ technology cancels out extraneous sounds around you.
If you like deep bass from your headphones, the Sennheiser 4.50 BTNC headphones deliver. You get lots of powerful low end, for sure. The highs and mids are there too, but these headphones will especially satisfy those who prefer music with serious punch.
Their fit is a little too snug for my taste. But they feel light to wear, and I know some people — my wife for example — prefer the tighter fit. These headphones certainly won't fall off as you move around. I thought the no-slip grip on the headband was a nice touch — it has a soft, pleasant feel.

The Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones sport a no-frills, grown-up look and fold into a travel-friendly bundle.
These headphones have a solid battery life. You get up to 19 hours of wireless music playback on a full charge, and that's with noise cancellation. You should get through most flights just fine — without scrambling to find a charging outlet at the airport.
Buttons and sliders on the right earcup control music playback, Bluetooth, and noise-canceling functions. They were a little tricky to master at first, but I got the hang of them pretty quick. One of the buttons even controls phone calls, so you can answer and talk as you move along.

This is a really nice headset and the noice cancellation was better then expected from other reviews I read. Due to some water damage in our office we had big blowers going for days on end and this headset blocked that out very effectively.
Very clear sound with great noise canceling! Very comfortable.
Pros: Sound Noise canceling Good battery life
Great sound, great NC, great price point. Thanks! I wore these on a 6 1/2hr flight with no problems.
Pros: Ease of Bluetooth, sound quality, good Noise Cancelation. Comfortable.
Cons: None that I can find.
Great fit Great sounds
The noise canceling works great. Audio quality is nice. Perfect for office/studio use for conference calls. We got them for our whole team. They are very happy with them.
Head phone is not comfortable over time. After say 1 hour I need to take them off , then tension is set so I could be on my Harley going over 50 and the headphones would stay in place. Sorry but for sitting in chair I will return the item.
Pros: Sound Blue tooth
Cons: Comfort Controls not have intuitive
Really enjoying these. Never had noise canceling feature before and it's pretty amazing how it can neutralize distracting external noise. Sound quality is very good as well.
For the money, I expected a more comfortable fit from the headband. There is very, very little cushion in them. Even with the volume at its highest, the sound was very good, but not unbearable. Wired headphones' volume is much louder at its maximum level. Ear cushions were comfortable. Directions were not so much written, but were small and cartoonish. I'm thinking that I don't need noise canceling headphones but it MUST be wireless, as there is no headphone jack in my phone. They are okay, but this price is my absolute limit.
Pros: Good noise canceling I guess, but I never knew when they were on or off.
Cons: Diminished volume even at its max, headband hurt my head, directions were quirky.
Fits a little too tight and initially a bit tricky to find a comfortable wearing position due to the narrow elliptical ear cup. I plan to switch out the ear cup in the future. Once I found the right position, I was able to wear it for more than a few hours straight without any fatigue. The cushion on the headband is minimal compared to pricier NC headphones like QC35, but it hasn't been an issue for me. For the price it does a great job in noise cancelling and the sound is good. I have yet to use it on a flight, but in the office it blocks out a respectable amount of noise. Also there is no cabin pressure feeling, which is a plus. Great bang for the buck.
Pros: Respectable noise cancelling, good audio quality, no NC pressure feel
Cons: headband too tight
Great headphones. Lightweight but seem well made. A long time fan of sennheiser.
Pros: Lightweight. Durable
Nice heaphones good sound quality and comfortable for the money spent. I would recommend them.
The quality of the headset is good, but their UI and manual leave a lot to be desired. Here is a product with 4 or 5 buttons, none of which are labeled, and a startup guide with hardly any words. Since when did we stop using language and went directly to hieroglyphs? are the users expected to be illiterate? I am certain that they are meant to be Apple users since the drawings had iPhones in them, but no explanation how to set up a laptop or an Android phone or tablets. I am pretty tech savvy (worked in high tech 20 years) and was still having trouble deciphering what the buttons on the headset are for or how get the wireless features to connect. Really disappointed with an expensive and high quality product.
Pros: Good sound and reasonable noise cancelling
Cons: Worst UI and non-existent documentation
These headphones sound great, are comfortable to wear, easy to use and have good noise cancelling.
Pros: Comfortable to wear Sound great Easy to use Good noise cancelling
Cons: None as of now
Very nice for the price. I bought these mainly for mowing and they are great. Comfortable enough to wear in an Indiana hot summer for about an hour of push mowing.
Pros: Comfortable, clean sound, pretty loud. Easy to connect, decent bass
Not happy with the noise cancelling for several reasons: Hard to turn off and on, this takes both hands, one to hold the headphones and one to push both ends of the volume control. The noise cancelling is not very effective in my opinion, I am constantly turning off and on because I am never sure when it is turned on. I am wearing the head phones as I write this and there are family members around the table talking and I can hear them as well as if I didn't have the phones on. Although the overall volume is lower. When noise cancelling is turned off there is 'white noise' that is very distracting When I use these in a quiet office setting I can hear conversation clearly. (They also don't attenuate the girlfriend as much as I had hoped!) I bought these to use while mowing the lawn with the riding mower, the noise cancelling doesn't have much effect . I am considering exchanging them for a different brand that may have better noise cancelling ability and an app that actually does something. I rated a 4 because of the noise cancelling issues, otherwise they seems to be decent headdphones.
Pros: Great build quality. When turned off and wearing them, they provide decent noise reduction, most likely due to the closed cup design. Sound quality is good, I am not an audiophile. Fit is comfortable, I have big ears and they fit over them just fine. Other reviewers have commented on the fit.
Cons: Noise cancelling, see the review comments. The captune app does not provide any additional functions, (android). Instructions are terrible, just pictures, you need to download them off the website.
Absolutely amazing, love this headphones, good sound nice fit.
While the sound is good and noise cancelling, battery life, features on top of wireless operation is pretty good (I'm no audiophile), the fit is not comfortable at all. The ear cups are too small and only operate as on-the-ear headphones. My Bose (wired) are much more comfortable. Was dissappointed in Sennheiser's design choices...
Purchased these as a replacement for Parrot Zik3 for my dad. Zik's BT design is cumbersome and just seemed poorly thought out. I have the momentum2 by Sennheiser which a Reva we some. This newer model is on our in gets of connectivity and sound quality although build quality not as good. For the price, I wouldn't recommend another Brand!
Sound is great. Noise cancelling is amazing. Battery is amazing. But for me the comfort was poor. I could only wear for 2 hours before my ears hurt. Had to return them.
I'm extremely happy with the Sennheiser HD 4.50 headphones. The sound reproduction is fantastic, they last a long time on a charge (and I always have noise canceling turned on), they are very comfortable and the controls are very intuitive. Range is awesome and they work well for phone calls too. The materials have a very "high quality" feel to them. I looked at Bose, Sony and many others, none come close to these. I highly recommend them.
I use these to do my yard work and they great. They cut down the engine noise of the mower, weedeater etc. tremendously. I have only used them a couple of times but feel confident they will last a long time. They appear to be stoutly made. The sound is terrific. The bases "boom" and makes your tunes come alive. They are very comfortable to wear. I use them four hours at a time and they do not get uncomfortable at all. Doing yard work is pretty physical activity and they stay on just fine. I am not crazy about the buttons. Kinda hard to manipulate while on your head. I'll probably get use to them with time. One thing you have to get use to is that you can barely hear yourself talk with the noise cancelling on. They cancel that good. Taking calls on iPhone is great. Voice quality excellent. All in all these are fantastic
Pros: Great sound, noise canceling, comfortable
Cons: Buttons a little hard to use
Received my HD 4.50 BTNC yesterday and LOVE'EM. Comfortable to wear, easy to operate, and geat sound. tried them versus my brither's QC35's and found them to be comparable for 60% the price of Bose. Only knock is I wish the freq range for highs was a bit wider - maybe version 2.0 will improve on alreay a great product.
Pros: $200 versus $350 for QC35's - I find them at least as good across the board. I am rough on headphones - build quality is great and at a price the whoops QC35.
Cons: O.K. I'm having a bit of 'fat-finger' with buttons on the right earpeice - I'm sure that will be conquered when I wera them a few days.

Overview: The Sennheiser HD 4.50BTNC over-ear wireless headphones feature NoiseGard active noise cancellation as well as Bluetooth to give you the freedom to listen to your favorite music anywhere you want without the distraction of ambient noise. The HD 4.50BTNC headphones come with a USB charging cable, a straight audio cable, and a soft storage pouch.
NoiseGard: The HD 4.50BTNC Wireless headphones feature NoiseGard Active Noise Cancellation to shut out unwanted ambient noise and let in only your music. With a closed-back design, the headphones block much of the outside noise from your environment. NoiseGard uses two small microphones on the outside of the ear cup to pick up the remaining noise and generate an opposite noise-canceling sound wave. All you hear is your music with all of its detail.
Bluetooth: The HD 4.50BTNC headphones are compliant with the Bluetooth 4.0 standard, and have the following profiles: HFP (Hands-Free Profile), HSP (Headset Profile), AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile), and A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile). In addition, aptX audio coding provides high quality audio that is comparable to a wired connection. You can pair the headphones with most Apple and Android Bluetooth devices, including those with NFC (Near Field Communication).
Battery: The Bluetooth function is powered by a 3.7-volt 600mAh Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery. The battery charges in approximately 2 hours using the supplied Micro USB charging cable. A full charge supplies enough power for 25 hours of wireless listening, or 19 hours with Bluetooth and NoiseGard. The remaining battery level can be monitored through the flashing LED and voice prompts. The battery life may also be displayed on the screen of your smartphone or device.
On-board Controls: The HD 4.50BTNCs have built-in controls on the right ear cup for power, volume, and music/phone call control. Music controls include play/pause, skip to next track, skip to previous track, fast forward, and fast reverse. Phone controls include accept/end a call, reject call, call on hold, and toggle between 2 calls. Established calls can be transferred from the headphones to the smartphone by turning off the Bluetooth connection. Using the Voice Control function of your phone, you can make a call by speaking a command.
Audio Cable: The included 58" audio cable lets you listen to your music when the battery is exhausted, or when you cannot, or choose not to, use Bluetooth. The cable terminates into a slender right-angled 3.5mm plug that is compatible with most smartphone cases. The cable does not have an in-line remote, and the on-board controls do not work when the power is off.
