Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over-ear Wireless - Built of durable parts, like stainless steel sliders and a leather headband
Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over-ear Wireless - Connect the included cord or go wireless with Bluetooth 4.0
Fold "the Mo 2.0" headphones (pictured in ivory) at the hinges to easily carry them from place to place.
Sennheiser's first-generation Momentum headphones earned rave reviews from our customers and staff for their clear, accurate sound and tasteful but original good looks. With the Momentum 2.0 Wireless, you get some nice design tweaks and the added bonus of cable-free Bluetooth technology. It's a striking mix of classic style, tried-and-true sound, and modern-day conveniences.
Like the original Momentums, these lightweight over-ear headphones sport a cool throwback look, but Sennheiser gave this new wireless version a collapsible folding design for easy transport and storage. Heavy-duty, rugged parts like stainless steel sliders and a leather headband make them incredibly durable. Life on the move is further improved by Sennheiser's NoiseGard™ technology, which uses tiny microphones and advanced circuitry to cancel out extraneous noise. It'll help you focus on the Momentum 2.0 Wireless' enjoyable, well-balanced sound signature, which has a slight nod toward the low frequencies for some extra punch.
To make listening on the go even easier, the Momentum 2.0 Wireless headphones connect to your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet. No dangling cord needed.
Buttons on the right earcup let you control music playback and volume, and also answer phone calls. The built-in VoiceMax microphone captures your voice for clear call quality. You get up to 22 hours of wireless playback with noise cancellation on a full charge. If you're in a situation where you don't need wireless, a cable is included for both passive and active listening.
The Momentum 2.0 Wireless 'phones features oversized cushioned ear pads covered in soft, luxurious leather. Sennheiser gave them larger earcups than the original Momentums, for an easier fit over the ear — one of two key comfort upgrades. The second is a slightly larger headband, which helps these headphones rest on your head without clamping too tightly.

These headphones are awesome. After having purchased a Bose wave radio, I was hesitant not to purchase the Bose Bluetooth headphones because we are so pleased with the radio. Crutchfield having an open box pair at a good price made the difference
Great headphones. Very comfortable on the ears. Did not find headband uncomfortable as some others. Way better sound especially for classical and jazz recordings. Replaced Bose and noise reduction as good but sound quality much better.
Pros: Great sound Comfortable Easy to use
Simple stylish design. Noise cancellation is superb and unlike many other reviews I feel it's equal to the Bose 35 model bit below. Sound is 9 out of 10. The mids are the star of the show and they don't dissapoint. These are high quality, elegant yet durable cans with amazing sound. If you're looking for heavy bass or loud headphones with less sound quality you can spend less. These are the best headphones I've ever owned.
Pros: More durable and comfortable than they look. Perfect sound and noise cancelation.
Cons: Soft case
This headset was purchased as an early Christmas present for our daughter. She loves these headphones! She's used Bose noise cancelling headphones previously and she reports that these are clearer, more comfortable, and she's thrilled with the retro look. She's used them on flights, at home, and for business at the office. Best present ever!
Pros: love the retro look (own the ivory and brown set) super soft, leather covered ear pads sound quality convenient carrying case
The most important characteristic of any headphones should be the sound. These are smooth and even. Thankfully, they lack an over-emphasis of bass prevalent in many of their competitors. In comparison to my studio gear, Sony mdr-7506, the Sony's let more bright tones through. Be warned, the Bluetooth can't handle symphony music although plugging them in with the proprietary wire helps. On the positive side, the headphones connect to Bluetooth (iPhone and Macbook) quickly and without hassle. A pleasant female voice confirms the link with a lilted "connected." "Power on" and "Power off" are also affirmed with the same agreeable voice. I have no problems wearing these headphones for several hours at the time. That said, I have a small head, which is great for wearing children's hats, but the headphones don't fit quite as firmly as I would like. The basic functions are easy to perform with the two control buttons. There are other functions that may take some practice to remember. As far as noise reduction, I compared them to a cheap pair of shop earmuffs, and the noise reduction was about the same both in my experience and the listed -db levels. For phone calls, the mics seem to work well. I didn't get any complaints from the people on the other end of the calls, but I was concerned that the around the ear design had me talking loudly. Overall, I like the sound of these cans, and I love being wireless.
Pros: Quick Bluetooth connections Evenness of sound quality Classy look Long Battery life
Cons: Proprietary wire $$ Weak volume
Loved how these look and feel sound is very clean the leather on the ear cups are really comfortable
Pros: Really fast Bluetooth connection can use wire connection as well
When I ordered my sennheiser headphones they were a hundred dollars off! So that was a very nice treat when buying these expensive headphones. I of course contacted the Crutchfied team and they were very nice and fast at working on helping me solve my questions. My headphones arrived in 3 days like said and was also pleased by that ( usually at other places it's off by a couples days). When I opened the headphones from the package, it was perfectly intact and ready to wear. The headphones were very easy to pair with my iPhone and iPad, even though they didn't have the built in chip. I Was able to walk at least 100 feet and still have a good connection. The leather cups are very comfy and soft, and left a lot of room for my ears. My ears did get a little warm after a few hours of listening, but nothing much.Next was the sound quality, I'm no audiophile but these headphones have amazing sound quality, better than beats for sure, Bose, it's close but I vote sennheiser. Quality is vey strong, a big reason why I wanted theses headphones is because you can't see any plastic on the headphones! The headphones are not to heavy but it does have a good weight to it. Ok, here is the con, the noise cancellation. Mine might have a defect or something because I can still hear my little fan from across the room, or my parents talking across my house. I'm not happy about that. But I'm happy with my headphones ( kinda angry about the noise cancelling part) and Crutchfield.
Pros: Comfort, sound, build quality, foldable, Bluetooth
Cons: NOISE CANCELLATIONCrutchfield response on August 1, 2016 Whenever you are not completely satisfied with anything you purchase from Crutchfield, please contact our Customer Support team. Purchases from Crutchfield can be returned or exchanged within 60 days of the purchase.
The headphones perform as expected for sound and noise reduction. The noise reduction was an interesting experience. I went for a long walk on a windy day and could hear the wind noise but all other sounds were effectively reduced. The headset remained comfortable through the entire walk. I have and used wired Klipsch earbuds and wired Bose head set. I am highly pleased with this headset
Pros: Sound, Noise Reduction and the lack of wires to get tangled up in. The controls work well.
Cons: I have not used the headset for phone conversations yet so I cannot rate the mic functions. Wind noise is bothersome on high wind days but one can off-set by cranking up the volume. It takes practice to use the on-off, pause and volume features. Once you get accustomed the controls worked well. It took be me a few minutes to find the label for left/right
The headphones offer very good sound, are a bit heavy, thus can become uncomfortable, noise reduction is very good though not the Best. If I have any complaint, it would be sometimes sketchy Bluetooth - sound stutters
Pros: Good Sound, Nice Build, Reasonably good Noise Reduction
Cons: Sketchy Bluetooth (Sometimes) and a bit heavy
To be honest these are my very first over ears headphones so it makes it impossible to compare with any other model. But I do find the sound quality very good, they look super cool, they are convenient and easy to use.
Pros: Super look + good sound + I don't have to charge them often + foldable + wireless + noise reduction
Cons: Too expensive
When I first go these I thought they had a very even and flat sound when plugged directly into my S7 edge android smart phone. After about 4-5 days of using them I have to say that they are THE best headphones I have ever owned. These are the only Bluetooth headphones that sound just as good directly plugged in or using the Bluetooth....you can really tell the difference. These are very powerful and awesome sounding headphones. I charged them fully on a Monday and didn't get a warning about battery until Saturday. I used these at work at least 3-5 hours a day at high volume.
Pros: Bose has nothing on these headphones......nothing
Cons: price...is sort of high...
The headphones sound great, comfortable leather stitched, memory foam its all good.
Pros: The sound quality is solid. Bluetooth performance is good. Noise cancelation works extremely well.
Cons: Price is a little high.
Best sound out of all the top noise cancelling headphones. I tested against 2 other top brands using HD music files as a source. Easily the best sounding. You hear details that you totally miss with other headphones. Volume output at the same settings is far superior. Built in battery that charges is a huge plus. Noise cancelling is very good, but second best in that regard. I wanted very much to love these, but they were uncomfortable to wear for more than a few minutes, and I am not an unusual fit.
Pros: Sound quality! Built in battery Technology
Cons: Not comfortable
Right out of the box you notice the quality of every detail. They adjust easily and paired easily to my Samsung phone. The sound from these headphones is fantastic. Battery life is good too.
Pros: Quality build to match the look Great sound
Cons: Expensive. The Bose competition costs less, more compact and sound just as good... in my humble opinion.
After three attempts to find the pair of headphones I like and Crutchfield made it easy. I started with what I thought I would like but after trying other brands offered, B&O and Parrot, I found the quality of the Sennheiser headphones to be the best. Comfortable and the sound is awesome, great bass and easy to wear.
Pros: Comfortable, secure and durable. Yep, leave it to me but I already dropped my headphones a couple of times and they held up fine. The fit is really comfortable and the padding around the ears makes life easy. I ride skateboards, bikes and a general klutz. The bass is nice and even though I'm still learning the controls, they are much easier than a couple I tried. The noise cancelling works great, I found myself kinda emerged and forgot about my surroundings. Sound quality is one of a kind
Cons: The worst I can say is I ordered the Ivory and they are ....a bit boring. Its an easy fix with vinyl stickers, I can change it up. Maybe a bit heavy but can't say for sure. My old pair were Bose and they weigh nothing compared to these but the sound quality is off as well with the Bose... Price was about where they should be and I know these will hold up to craziness in everybody's life.
These headphones are awesome. Fit and finish is top notch. They are very comfortable to wear. Sound quality is excellent. The noise cancelling works very well.
Pros: Sound quality, noise cancelling, Build quality, comfort
Cons: The price
I compared these headphones with the Master and Dynamic wireless headphones for several days. I found myself wanting to want the MD's because they are a great looking set with fine ergonomics and a good sound. But when I listened back and forth I kept telling myself that the Sennheisers had a clearer sound, less muddled in the low and mid-range, and more sparkle in the highs. The tympani in the opening of Strauss's Also Sprach Zarathustra was closer to the live sound I grew accustomed to playing in The Cleveland Orchestra for forty, while the MD set was boomy to me. Listening to a recording of Petrushka by Stravinsky I heard more of the great clarity of a live performance of the Sennheisers than I did on the MD's. Jazz and rock gave me the same impression. While the Bluetooth may not have the range of the Master and Dynamic set I didn't have a problem with it and I was able to get around the house without any dropout. It's not like I was going to go riding on the range and leave my iPhone back at the house. I realize sound is subjective so I strongly recommend comparison shopping. The Sennheisers are very well built and are more comfortable to me than the MD's but again, comparisons are the best way to go. Thanks to Crutchfield for making the process very easy.
Pros: Great sound, comfort and build.
These headphones sound great. I have a pair of Bose QC25's that have superior noise cancellation, can't come close to the Sennheiser's sound quality. Yes, these headphones are not cheap, but you'll get to hear music as it was intended to be heard.
Pros: Sound quality Build quality Comfort Long battery life
Cons: Expensive Noise cancellation is good but not great
Top of the line, but..... Some difficulties with Bluetooth connectivity, not as good as Bose re noise reduction, but still quite good, I'd say on par with Bose re sound quality. Overall, better than Bose
Pros: Nice balanced sound, comfortable, fold up for travel
Of all that I auditioned (ordered) and reviewed online, these were the best in comfort, quality, build, tech, looks and design. I decided to wait until after the 60 day return guarantee to post my review. Hope this helps others make a decision.
Pros: 1) Presentation and packaging are excellent. 2) Extraordinary, comprehensive tech package (the built in features are thoughtful, purposeful and work as advertised). 3) Extremely comfortable, leather stitched, memory foam ear cups. 4) Attractive, timeless and quality build. 5) Good sound quality. These are tuned nicely, especially when used with an amp. 6) Super convenient and versatile (home, errands, work, deck, travel, yard, etc).
Cons: 1) Max volume is weak (an amp and a wire is needed for satisfactory sound volume). 2) Price is fairly exclusive for a pair of consumer headphones. 3) You can't turn the ANC off when in wireless mode. 4) The inner ear cup diameter is a bit too small. 5) The mustard colored fabric inside the ear cups is unattractive, thick and seems out of place. 6) The ear cup jack is proprietary. 7) The headphones outclass the included accessories (carry case and headphone wire are cheesy).
Just works with iPad Air, iPhone 6+ with iOS 9.2 and 2012 15" MacBook Pro on latest El Capitan! Good noise cancelling experience comparable to the wired Bose headphones. Managed phone calls with the iPhone in my pocket.
Pros: Good features once you learn them: go to the internet for the complete users guide.
Cons: A little bulky.
Having done extensive research and coming from a pair of Bose headphones that I've used for years, I was specifically looking for noise-cancelling, wireless headphones that work as well as the Bose wired pair. These are awesome!! Very comfortable, excellent sound quality, simple hookup. Everything I was expecting and more! Would highly recommend!!
Pros: Comfortable, excellent sound quality and noise canceling! Battery goes on forever.
Cons: Haven't found one yet.
Great headphones as expected, however will not pair with iPhone 6s Plus w/iOS 9.2 installed.
Pros: Great headphones.
Cons: Limited connectivity.
These are almost a 5 out of 5. They look great, feel great and sound great!! I love the wireless aspect and the build quality seems to be top notch. I have only had them a few days. My biggest complaint is that, I cannot get them to pair with my work computer which is a mac mini and Macbook Pro. I purchased them to wear at work, while i code, and drown out the noise. However, I currently can only pair them with my iPhone. For the money, this is kinda a big deal to me. For others it may not be. After doing research it appears that the bluetooth on my work computer does not support the same bluetooth profiles as these headphones. Also I have read reveiws of Sennheiser having bluetooth issues with these headphones. Again overall that are pretty darn good, but for the price, I expect more pairing options other than my iPhone. I may return them and try out the Beats Studio Wireless headphones and see if they will pair with my work computers.
Pros: Looks, sound, build quality, ease of use
Cons: Will not pair with mac mini or macbook pro running OS X 10.10.4 and Bluetooth 4.3
VERY PLEASED WITH PURCHASE . BUILD QUALITY IS GREAT. SOUND EXCELLENT
I am in airports weekly and waited for these headphones for their combination of bluetooth, sound quality, and noise cancellation. I received them about a month ago have used them on the road for four trips so far. I LOVE ditching the cord and the sound quality is great. The ANC is just right (for me) and doesn't have the same amount of "pressure" as the Bose. The like how the ANC doesn't block out the world 100%; I appreciate that I can often hear people who speak to me even when I have the headset on. All that is great, but my motivation for getting this headset was to enable me to make calls in noisy environments like airports. I have hearing issues understanding my caller when I am in a noisy environment. Thus, I was exited about the potential of these headphones as an all-in-one headset solution that cancelled out ambient noise so I could hear my caller in noisy environments. I does this well. It does not, however, do an equally good job canceling out my noisy environment for my caller. It's nice that I can hear my caller, but no good if they can't hear me. I will also comment that these headphones seem to get "confused" when they are connected to more than one bluetooth connection. It switches back and forth fine, but it also seems to often gets "electronic" and "choppy" in ways that only bluetooth does often when connected to both my iphone and ipad. I am not convinced there is a better set of headphones out there for me, but I still wish these were better.
Pros: Sound Quality. Moderate low "pressure" ANC.
Cons: Noise cancellation on the microphones; bluetooth connection.
First, Sound quality is as good as it gets for Bluetooth, and when you plug them in, everything brightens up even more. the headphones are very well designed, and look as good on your head as they do just sitting on your desk. the joints that fold the headphones are tight and give a light click every time they're pulled out or pushed in; they feel very high quality. lamb skin on the ear pads has a very premium feel. the Bluetooth connectivity problems are fixed, and Bluetooth connects to two devices with out any problems and switches seamlessly between the two. Bluetooth range is also reasonable, you can walk away about 30 feet and still get signal through two walls, two rooms away. overall the controls work well and NFC connects flawlessly. Comfort-wise, I study with these things on for hours every day. I only have to take a break after about 4 hours, which to me is pretty good. The noise reduction is not as good as the Bose QC 25's, nothing is. But they're on par other ANC headphones like BeoPlay H8, Beats Studio Wireless, and Plantronics Backbeat Pro. You can't turn off the ANC while the headphones are powered on, but sound quality doesn't seem to suffer. in fact the headphones sound better when they're plugged in if they're powered on. Taking calls on these is easy, but everyone you are talking to will think they're on speakerphone, which is to be expected of any headset. Overall, these are the best Wireless ANC headphones. I've had them all and I'm most happy with these
Pros: Sound quality The look battery life comfort multipoint Bluetooth very stable Bluetooth connection
Cons: Bass not as heavy as some would like but that's not a real con. If you're listening to alot of EDM or Hip Hop and you love bass drops, these headphones might not do it for you. Clamping pressure is pretty light, which is good for comfort, but maybe the seal for noise isolation could be better. Or maybe I have a small head ant this doesn't apply to others. again this isn't a real con. If you pull the trigger on these, you will not be disappointed.
These are very good headphones, irrespective of some of the complaints here. Maybe there was a bad run, but the quality of the pair I received is top notch, and the sound is also impressive. Battery life is exceptional. Pairing can be a little tricky, but once you figure it out it is fine.
Pros: Solid build quality. Comfort. Battery life. Sound volume and quality.
Cons: Noise reduction works well at reducing constant droning and other sounds. Does not reduce acute or sudden noises, or sounds that alter in tone and intensity. The noise reduction is perfect for the sound of aircraft engines in the background.
These are an incredible wireless headphones. For a pair of headphones at this price, could these sound better versus other headphones at a similar price? The answer is yes, but these are Wireless headphones. You know you're paying for the feature, so if that's not a main attraction of yours, you should definitely look elsewhere. If it is? Look no further. The sound is very preserved through the air as the aptX encoding does an awesome job compensating. The sound is very well rounded. The bass is very crisp without being too overpowering. I could hear Eugene Wright's strings vibrating on some of my Dave Brubeck records and in some instances, could even hear his fingers sliding up and down the bass. I could list a ton of jazz playing bassists and how fun listening to them has become, but... on the other hand, Chris Squire of Yes or Geddy Lee of Rush or Flea of the Chili Peppers or Les Claypool of Primus? You hear every little technique they use and the added depth quickly thrusts you into another dimension. You can also isolate every little background noise occuring, and really separate all the instruments, all while, again, traveling cleanly through the air the whole 30 feet! Build is solid. Battery is amazing. Looks are sweet. Warranty is great. Also functions incredibly as a bluetooth headset. I can bomb hills on my bike and hold fluid conversations on the phone versus having problems with people hearing me in a quiet room if I'm not holding my phone completely straight.
Pros: -Bluetooth! I hate cords. Excercise and daily activities with the cord being in the way, accidentally unplugging, threading it through clothes, always needing your phone super close? I'm now anxiety free. -Excellent battery life -Durable build with legit 2 year warranty -Very stylish looking -Respectable noise canceling. (I don't have much to compare to but it did very well on my train ride) -Sharp Bluetooth Headset - Very nice and balanced sound. Clean bass. -Memory foam pads -Foldable
Cons: -A little pricy, but given all the other features, it's currently the best bluetooth headphone out right now and worth the price until the rest of the bluetooth market steps up its game. -Could have a higher max volume. Not usually necessary but some of my albums are a little quieter than others and it would be nice. -No padding over head band. Ears don't get sore but top of head does a little. -Headphones could pinch my head a little more. I'm very mobile and these could be a little more snu
Love these headphones. The sound quality for a wireless is exceptional and I would put these above par compared to the competition, e.g. Parrot, Beats, etc... The only reason why I gave the comfort a 4 star as opposed to 5 is because I wear hearing aids and while it is comfortable it is not as comfortable without. If I were to purely judge them without the hearing aid aspect, then I would say these are a 5 from a comfort perspective.
I really like these headphones. I bought them to replace my Bose QC25. The noise cancelling is better on the Bose, but it is still good on the Sennheiser. The sound quality is much better on the Sennheiser. I'm not an audiophile, but I do love my headphones. These sound much "cleaner" in my nonexpert opinion. The comfort is good, A bit better than the Bose. Also, these don't hurt my ears after several hours even with the noise cancelling on. The Bose would start to hurt my ears a bit after and hour or so. These are expensive. So if it isn't in your budget, go with the Bose, but if you can spring for these, They are awesome!
Pros: clean sound, comfortable, good battery life, good noise canceling
Cons: Price is high
I've enjoyed these tremendously. The sound quality is solid. Bluetooth performance is excellent with iOS devices; not so much with my OS X laptop. Noise cancelation works extremely well. Excellent build quality and comfort.
Pros: Pairs easily and solidly with iOS devices. Good performance on Skype calls.
Cons: Some noise issues when connected to MacBook Pro using Bluetooth; wired USB connection to Mac works fine.
Love these headphones!
For this price there are many other options to justify sound quality if you are buying it for wireless feature and noise reduction you can buy any cheaper headphones with such features, these headphones sounds not any thing close to what they are priced for, there are many things that I can mention here but I know you are not reading this review to go into details, I think sound quality, sonic experience is really far away from wireless technology if you just want to wear a gadget on your head for fashion statement while travelling running or anywhere sure buy it, but don't buy it if you want a good musical experience. By the way I'm a big Sennheiser fan and actually I'm listening to HD650 as I write this review...very much disappointed.
Cons: Not Worth The Price
Needed to replace my existing Sennheiser MM550-X which were too flimsy, fragile and fell apart after three years. The Momentum 2.0 wireless is far more durable frame, the bass sound is superior and controls are easier to manage than the MM550-X. To over ear comfort and noise cancelling feature really does put your auditory sense into a cone of silence. It justifies the price tag asked for!
Pros: Bass sound quality, sturdiness of head set, adjustable volume control built into headset, over ear fit superior to other models within the Sennheiser family of products.
Cons: Retail price point
I'm 2 hours into a train trip to NYC from Boston. The 22 hr battery life and Sennheiser reputation got my attention. I sold my Bose QC15 and and AKG Q701. Yes, I could nitpick but the combination of sound, Bluetooth, noise-reduction and build quality = well worth the price. Sync with iPhone features seamless.
THESE ARE THE BEST HEADPHONES I EVER OWNED . I HAVE AKG, BOSE,EVEN PARROT ZIK1 THESE SENNHEISER ARE THE BEST. BLUETOOTH PAIRING IS FAST AND EASY. THEY ARE VERY COMFORTABLE. EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY. THEY ARE A LITTLE PRICEY BUT THEY ARE WELL WORTH IT.
Really good sound and comfortable
The last "wireless" heasphones I owned was a pair from JVC back in the 90's. Most of my time was spent trying to fine tune the signal, so they wound up collecting dust on the shelf pretty quickly. What a difference a decade or two makes! The Momentums are absolutely wonderful. I like the slightly retro look; they're very comfortable for at least a couple of hours at a time; and the sound is crystal clear and well balanced, at least in my amateur opinion. Distance is as expected - 25-30 feet - which works fine for my circumstances. Controls for music and phone are easy and intuitive once you use them a few times. I'm using them during chemo treatments in the hospital, and they provide a nice way to "get away" from the process.
Pros: Pretty much everything listed in the product description.
Cons: If I had to list something I'd say price, but I'd also have to say I'd pay it again - they're worth it.
I purchased these headphones 2 months ago, when they first came available. But i waited to write a review until after I gave the noise cancellation feature the gold standard test: being able to make the drone of airplane noise disappear. Having also had Bose headphones, which are famous for their noise cancellation, I was a little dubious. Today, I took my first flight with the new headphones and was very pleasantly surprised. The noise cancellation was exceptional, making my flight much more enjoyable. In addition the headphones have great sound quality even with the wireless function and noise cancellation activated. It is also surprisingly light and very comfortable. The cans fit great over my ears, which are regrettably not small. I love the fact that i can also utilize the headphones in the wired mode. I wanted headphones that were wireless, but could also be wired, that had great sound quality and had Noise Cancellation. If you want all of those features. This is a great product that will meet your needs. Overall the best headphones I have ever owned.
Pros: Noise cancellation is as good as my old Bose.
Cons: You cannot shut off the noise cancellation feature when in wireless mode.
These headphones are not as great as Bose QC25 in noise cancellation. However, the sound quality destroys Bose. You don't have to worry about the strange pressure you sometimes feel in other noise cancellation headphones, which is a huge plus for me. I never enjoyed that. They are well built and very comfortable. A few people that tried them told me they were too heavy. They said they would not be able to wear them for extended periods of time. I am no longer friends with those people and I cannot hear them beg for my forgiveness since I'm usually wearing my new Sennheiser headphones and it makes it very easy to tune them out.
Pros: Sound Quality Wireless with option to connect with cable Comfortable
Cons: Noise Cancellation could be better Need to moisten the leather occasionally
Overall quality met expectation. Just have some blue-tooth connection issue.
Pros: Sound quality is met expectation. Nice build and cool feature. Noise reduction function is pretty good.
Cons: Bluetooth condition very depends on connectivity. Not stable.
Love these headphones. The build quality is excellent. The sound is one of the best sounding headphones I ever used, much better than my Bose QC3 on-ear. The only minor issue I have is that the headphones pinch the top of my ear (to be fair to Sennheiser I think I have pretty big ears and I also wear glasses).
Pros: Great Build, Design and Sound. Battery life is yet to be determined (only had them for a week or so)
Cons: Doesn't quite fit my ears as well as I had hoped for (note to folks with glasses, you should try these on before purchasing to make sure it fits well).

Overview: The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless (M2 AEBT) headphones have a closed circumaural (over-the-ear) design with Bluetooth technology and NoiseGard Hybrid active noise cancellation. The headphones come with a straight connecting cable for those times when you can't go wireless, a USB charging cable for the internal battery, a soft cloth drawstring pouch, and a semi-hard clamshell case for storage.
Bluetooth: The Momentum Wireless headphones have Bluetooth version 4.0 + EDR which pairs to your phone or audio device in seconds. You can make and receive phone calls and stream audio wirelessly in a range of up to 33', depending upon environmental conditions. Bluetooth 4.0 is compatible with devices having Bluetooth versions 1.1 through 4.0. The headphones have the following profiles: Headset Profile (HSP 1.2), Hands-Free (HFP 1.6), Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP 1.5), Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP 1.3), and Device ID Profile (DIP 1.3).
aptX: With aptX audio coding, the M2 AEBT headphones deliver clean, crisp audio in full stereo. If your Bluetooth audio source supports aptX, the headphones will automatically stream music wirelessly in aptX high-quality mode. If the device is not equipped with aptX, the music will be streamed in the standard quality mode.
Near-Field Communications (NFC): If you are using the headphones with a device that supports NFC, you can wirelessly connect the device by touching, or placing it within close proximity of, the "N" logo on the front of the left earcup.
NoiseGard: The Momentum Wireless headphones feature the NoiseGard hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. NoiseGard is a combination of two noise-cancellation systems with a total of 4 microphones. The two microphones on the outside work as a Feed-Forward system that reduces high-frequency noise, while the two on the inside of the earcups act as a Feed-Back system to reduce low-frequency noise. Together, the two microphone systems reduce ambient noise by up to 25dB over a broad frequency spectrum. The NoiseGard hybrid Active Noise Cancellation system only works when the headphones are powered on. Even with the power off, the closed, around-the-ear design shuts out much of the external noise.
Rechargeable Battery: The M2 AEBT headphones are powered by an internal, 3.7VDC 600mAh Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery. The battery charges in about 3 hours via USB power (using the supplied Micro USB cable) from a laptop, an AC-powered USB charging port, or a mobile 12-volt USB charging port. While charging, you can continue listening to music or making calls from your smartphone via a Bluetooth connection. A fully-charged battery provides approximately 22 hours, using both Bluetooth and Active Noise Cancellation. You can keep track of the remaining battery life through the multi-color LED and voice prompts.
VoiceMax: The headphones utilize VoiceMax technology with two built-in microphones for voice communications. With two microphones, speech quality is enhanced, and external noise is removed. VoiceMax allows you to conduct clear phone conversations, as well as voice control functions with your smartphone, without the need of an external microphone.
Phone/Music Controls: You can control your streaming audio and phone calls using the 3-way multi-function button on the bottom of the right earcup. The button uses the same protocol as most other headphone remote controls with a pattern of button presses, however some smartphones may not support all functions. Phone controls allow you to accept, end, and reject calls, and redial. If you receive a call during another active call, you can choose to accept the new call by ending the active call or placing it on hold and toggling between the two calls. Music controls include play/pause a song, play the next or previous song, and rewind or fast-forward a song. Phone and music controls are only available if the headphones and smartphone are connected via Bluetooth.
Audio Cable: If you can't listen to the headphones wirelessly, you can still enjoy your music through a wired connection. An attachable 58" straight audio cable is provided with a right-angled 3.5mm mini-plug. In Active Mode, you can still take advantage of NoiseGard hybrid Active Noise Cancellation when using the headphones with the audio cable, however, the phone and music control functions will be disabled. In Passive Mode, Active Noise Cancellation is turned off. An Airline audio adapter is included so you can plug into in-flight entertainment on most domestic and international airliners. Phone and music controls are not available when the audio cable is plugged in.
Design and Materials: The Momentum Wireless headphones are equipped with lightweight brushed stainless steel sliders, a luxurious, real leather headband, and redesigned ear cushions with memory foam. The headphones fold into a compact package that you can place in the silky drawstring pouch or the semi-hard clamshell case with a zippered closure.

great reviews! [ Jeffrey Nov 03, 2016 ]
I wanted to give these headphones a chance however, I find the ear cups to be a bit difficult to maintain a proper seal. The noise cancelling on the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over-ear Wireless is rather modest compared to the Bose QC 35. I will say that the Momentum's have great sound and punchy yet clear bass, mids, and highs. While I like the sound and the reliability of the wireless. I'm not really sold on the Active Noise Cancelling or call quality using the Momentum's. [ MUHAMMAD Sep 09, 2016 ]

Quality, features, style and review comments [ A.C. Jun 26, 2016 ]
Reviews and the quality of all of my other Sennheiser headphones/headsets. Beats is marketing BS and BOSE doesn't seem to have the quality it used to. [ David May 23, 2016 ]
I wanted to treat myself to a great pair of BT headphones. These are highly recommended. [ Art May 10, 2016 ]
2ND Pair, they're really excellent. [ Richard Mar 31, 2016 ]
After extensive research on wireless headphones at this price point, these offer the best wireless sound quality in a headphone with active noise cancellation. Other features put these over the top. They will work even after the battery runs out with a wired audio connection and this offers excellent sound quality as well. Not to mention a 2 year warranty [ Adam M. Mar 10, 2016 ]
Reviews indicate these are the best [ Benjamin Mar 01, 2016 ]
Based on operational checks with other various headphone systems, reading numerous reviews, and adviser Kay's information, I believe I've made the correct choice. Looking forward to receiving these wireless momentum headphones! [ Carson Jan 08, 2016 ]

reviews [ John Aug 07, 2016 ]
Read good reviews. Hope they feel and sound good. I tried on a pair of Beats and Bose. Didn't care for the fit of either one. Plus the Beats seemed very cheaply constructed for the amount of money. [ Anthony May 16, 2016 ]
Was waiting for a sale on this item. Crutchfield had best price found. [ JOHN G Apr 30, 2016 ]

Bought mine on Oct 13 2015, Crutchfield shipped me the new model REV 02 dated 2015. [ Gregory Oct 29, 2015 ]
I don't know if these are the new revised headphones, but I ordered a pair about a week ago, but I had to return them because the box said REV 01 dated 2014. [ DarklyX Oct 15, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Our entire stock of these Sennheiser headphones are from the newly released Sennheiser stock with all Bluetooth issues completely resolved. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Oct 11, 2015 ] Staff
This is the date we reasonably expect to have this product in stock based on anticipated demand, communications from the manufacturer and other factors. This is a good faith estimate, not a guarantee. [ Krissy May 05, 2015 ] Staff
I posed a similar question to Sennheiser customer service and I copied the following from their response: Thank you for contacting the Sennheiser Technical Support Team. The part number #506250 is the part number for our M2 AEBT Black (MOMENTUM Wireless Black). The Apt-X codec is one element that helps provide the best possible sound quality via Bluetooth. If the Apt-X codec is not built into the device you are connecting to the headphones will still work you via Bluetooth you simply will not have the benefit of Apt-X. The Apt-X codec makes a huge difference when you are comparing lower level devices that might not have the best Bluetooth chips in them however when you are considering Apple devices these items have excellent Bluetooth chips in them so the addition of the Apt-X codec does not affect the audio quality very much. The MOMENTUM Wireless models sound excellent when connected to an Apple device via Bluetooth and I am certain that you will not be disappointed. [ Flyer Jan 05, 2016 ]
No, it is not compatible with Apple iOS [ Christopher Mar 10, 2015 ]
Yes, but you lose the noise canceling function. [ Jerry Mar 04, 2015 ]
Yes, and what great is that the sound quality doesn't change compare to noise canceling feature on. Bose qc 25 has really low sound quality when noise canceling feature is off. [ Zehao Mar 03, 2015 ]
I Don't know [ E HARRY Mar 03, 2015 ]
Yes you can. It includes a detachable 3.5 cable, and you can also use them wired if they are plugged in with usb [ Joseph Mar 03, 2015 ]
Yes, these headphones work in three different ways. The first way is as a wireless/Bluetooth active noise canceling headphone when the battery has a charge. The second way, again with the battery charged, is to use the included stereo connection wire for increased frequency response and active noise cancellation. The third way is as a passive set of headphones, the same as any high quality non-wireless headphone, without the battery charged. Each one of the three ways provides an exceptionally clear and balanced listening experience. I've had mine for about two weeks now and can say that they are the best set of headphones I've ever owned. Give them a try........you won't be disappointed. [ Stephen Mar 03, 2015 ]
Yes. You can use them as traditional headphones without power. [ Matthew Mar 03, 2015 ]
Yes, you can use the headphones wired, with or without power. [ David Mar 03, 2015 ]
I honestly haven't tried that, the Battery lasts forever. But I don't think it works without battery power. [ MICHAEL H Mar 03, 2015 ]
Yes, you can use the M2 wired even if battery is dead. I believe you can use ANC wired as well. [ Tim Mar 03, 2015 ]
Yes, they still work as normal headphones without the battery. The noise cancelation will not work if the battery dies, however. [ Collin Mar 03, 2015 ]
I've turned off my headset and have used the wire [ DINH Mar 03, 2015 ]
