Talk to your navigator
Hands-free control of your navigator makes finding a destination easy and safe. You can wake the nüvi 2595LMT up with a customized voice command, then find the menu screen you want just by speaking. Or just say the address or name of the point of interest you want to find and let the nüvi locate it for you quickly.

Take Garmin Guidance 2.0 for a spin
The nüvi 2595LMT incorporates Garmin Guidance 2.0, a feature set that offers convenience for everyday travel. You can find and select businesses right on the map screen without having to go through time-wasting menus. When you're on the highway, the navigator can give you a quick listing of stopping points nearest the exit ramp to save you from searching. Speed limit displays with visual warnings on major roads help keep you in check. You'll see photoReal™ junction views that provide easy-to-read and realistic representations of complicated interchanges, including signs.

Garmin 3D Traffic
The nüvi 2595LMT features free lifetime traffic updates using Garmin's 3D Traffic service, which incorporates data from active devices on the road, historical traffic patterns, and other factors like construction, concerts, and sporting events to give you a comprehensive look at congestion in most metropolitan areas. Best of all, you won't have to pay a penny more for this service over the life of your nüvi.

Free lifetime map updates
You can keep up on road changes with up to four map updates per year without any additional costs, which comes in handy for street changes or when a favorite destination has closed or relocated. The map updates are available directly from Garmin for as long as you own your 2595LMT.

User-friendly maps keep you on the right track
You can follow the detailed maps of the entire U.S. and most of Canada, Mexico, and several Caribbean islands on the 2595LMT's generous 5" color touchscreen. It's viewable in portrait or landscape orientation to suit your needs. With 8 million preloaded points of interest to choose among, you're sure to quickly find destinations using either your fingers or your voice. And if you find a spot that's not listed already, you can add it to your own custom points of interest for future reference.

Text-to-speech voice prompts that say actual street names at turns keep you focused on the road, while Lane Assist guides you through tricky intersections. In select instances, the screen will split automatically to give you a photoReal view of the junction so you'll have a clear picture of the next turn. You'll also find a photo viewer, "Where Am I?" emergency aid, audiobook player, trip planner, and other legacy Garmin features.

Perfect for everyday use & travel!!

Nelson from Towson, MD on 5/9/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great product with really amazing features, I use this everyday as a bluetooth speaker for my phone and it's great when I travel around the area or around the country on business. It's really a product that you don't want to leave home without, while smartphones do have GPS, when you are in the middle of no where, and you don't have a cell single, this still works without any issues - enough said!!!

Pros: Features and Price

Cons: Updates are a little hard to do online.

GC from Texas on 4/30/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Works great. Love the screen size. Couldn't be better. Haven't tried the voice commands yet, but will get to that later.

Pros: Screen is large for those middle age eyes.

Cons: Can't figure out how to stop the traffic detours if I just want to stay on the route and battle the traffic.

Great combintion of features will buyanother for our ther car!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am completely satisfied with this GPS. I've used it for almost a year now and the combination of features and quick response has kept me on course and saved me from traffic jams. The graphic showing the right line to be in is a winner. Voice recognition is fun and impresses customers; while the standard commands work well, it's best to type in complex addresses. In San Diego, my co-workers left for the airport 30 minutes before me. I got on the same express way and was immediately warned of heavy traffic and offered an alternate route. I beat my co-workers to the airport, and they complained about crawling thru an hour of bad traffic! The ability to search for and save favorite destinations in another city is helpful and allows me plan my travel from my hotel or living room. This GPS has a lot of helpful and easy to use features. I recommend it, and we well buy another for our other car!

Pros: Easy to use, life time maps, lifetime traffic, great integration of features, heavy traffic warnings, voice commands, easy to find my destinations. Lane selection graphics. Quick signal acquisition.

Cons: Voice commands work okay, but it's still best to type in complex locations, because as you type in hotel, restaurant or address information, the device makes selectable suggestions that get more specific the more you type (like a Google inquiry).. cool

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The 2595 froze up the first time I used it. Took a while to get it shut off & then it turned back. Sometimes I am unable to turn it on. tried to plug it in to car and computer thinking the battery was dead. At this point I just don't trust it.

Pros: I had a previous 2595 which worked fine but it got stolen.

Cons: This 2595 never takes me back the same way I went. Some times it will take a longer way around and yesterday went past the road to go home. Now it will not shut off when I unplug it in the car which it used to do. I am used to this product and hope I can get it resolved. I am disappointed. I did update the maps so hope that will help.

Mark T from Rowlett, TX on 12/27/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Performed exactly as advertised. Used it very successfully right after purchase on a business trip to Massachusetts--came in real handy. The roads and streets are not at all logical or well marked at my destination, so I was extremely grateful this unit performed exactly like my research on Crutchfield and Garmin web sites indicated. Great unit for the price and would highly recommend to anyone. Comes with everything you need and Garmin offers some additional case choices for purchase, protection.

Pros: Quick set up, start up for navigation and comes complete with ability to update latest maps immediately.

Cons: Suction cup needs some extra pampering when attaching to windshield in order to remain positioned--but that appears to be widespread among GPS'.

My Garmin Nuvi 2595 LMT was a big disappointment!

Ron from Charlotte, NC on 12/17/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This Garmin is a horrible improvement over the older Tom Tom that I was trying to replace!

Cons: It takes many more steps to set up a new destination. It always picks out the worst routes through city traffic, etc., as opposed to expressways. It gets me lost and won't "save" most of my planned routes. If I take the route that I KNOW is proper, it refuses to recalculate and program that route. I had difficulty trying to program anything. It is not the GPS for me.

Joe from Peoria on 11/25/2012

Not end user friendly.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This unit is a replacement for a 1460LT which needed new maps. Hae used it on a couple of trips and find it to be excellent. Best thing is that it doesn"t say "Recalculating" when you ignore one of its suggestions it just finds you a new route. This is wonderful.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I travel every two weeks by car out of town. This is my first expierence with the Garmin. Every feature such as voice activation, hands free phone and getting to a location works great. I preprogramed certain destinations and this feature works well. I only had one wrong destination. It was lunch time and I brought fast food places. I selected McDonalds and was directed correctly to the place. But it was out of business?

Pros: I would recomend this product over other navigation products. It pays to research before you buy.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Having used this on a single trip am seriously considering returning for a refund. When it comes to locating places by name only, it leaves much to be desired. When I used the go home portion it could not find the same street it found when the entire street address was entered. I would have greta hesitation in recommending any Gramin product.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Love this device - infinitely better than the Tom Tom it replaces.

Pros: . Voice command - it even recognizes my Australian accent. . Locks onto satelite signals VERY rapidly . The 5" screen is very crisp and clear

Cons: . Maps don't appear to be as accurate as the Tom Tom was - misnamed streets (Road instead of Drive), businesses that have been closed for over a year, no identification of some streets in shopping malls even when they have official names.) . Would like to have the ability to modify dashboard contents so that I can set my own data fields.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

By far the best GPS I have ever owned. The voice commands are absoloutely awesome. I do not think you will be disapointed in this unit.

Pros: Large screen. Voice commands are 95% accurate. Large 5" screen.

Cons: When recalling saved places, it requires too much scrolling to get to the address that you need.

Alan K from Canandaigua, NY on 3/29/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my first GPS after trying out other peoples units. I was very excited to get my Garmin 2595 and used it right away. Drove from my home to Philadelphia, PA the second day I had it. It worked great. My trip was about 6 hours and Garmin estimated the time of arrival right on the money. I did not know how to use all the features but I knew enough to find it easy to use and get around. Philadelphia is a large city and this GPS was a life saver. Not having any reservation to stay the night I did a search on my new GPS for a B and B and Garmin came through. Called from my car and had a good nights rest. On my last day I got ready to meet up with some friends plugged in the GPS and could not get a signal. This was unusal because the last few days it was quick to respond. I thought it was because it was overcast but then the sun came out and it still would not work. I was late trying to meet friends and the rest of the day was a mess trying to get around a city I did not know. I was ready to come home and it started to work but then died completely. It would not even turn on. I was upset. . I made it home and the next day I called Crutchfield. They came through and sent out a new one fast. At first the second GPS would not do all its functions and I was really getting mad. Garmin customer support. did help me reprogram It and now works 99%. Not 100% because my phone bluetooth is not compatable with this unit.. Be aware before you buy. I am VERY HAPPY NOW.

Pros: Nice big screen very easy to read. Tons of useful features. Easy to use. I did have some problems that are now fixed with the help of Crutchfield and excellent customer support from Garmin. If you want to have a stress free trip with wife, friends or family get a Garmin GPS. No more getting lost, reading maps or stopping for directions. Find a place to get gas, food or sleep right from your car. On a confusing busy highway the split screen saves the day. No guessing which lane to be in.

Cons: Not all phones with bluetooth are compatible with this unit. Garmin does have a list of phones that will work should that be an important feature and the main reason your buying the 2595. The voice command takes a little practice and does not always understand you. Most of the time it does. Its a fun feature. Because there are so many useful features before you take a long trip use it around your home turf for awhile and practice. That way you will get the most out of it on your trip.

Great Value

DSI from Tampa, Florida on 2/16/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have owned several portable GPS units and I have to say that this is the best value out of all of them. I love the voice command. One warrning would be dont say anything that sounds like "voice command" while driving or the unit will ask you what you want! LOL. you can always just say "back" and it will take you back to your rought or main screen. I love it!!!

Pros: Large screen, voice command, split screen and easy to use

Cons: none

Another Great Product

Tim from Indiana on 1/30/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my second Garmin product and once again Garmin has come up with a really great product. now with that being said, lets review the "Voice Command" Feature. yes, it does work, I use it all the time... and Yes it needs some improvement. It works best when there are no other sounds to interfere with the unit, like the radio, road noise, wind from you windows etc. That may sound like everything but the unit does work you just need to speak clearly. Other improvements better navagation instructions... NO more "Re-Calculating" Garmin apparently has removed that annoying saying from the system, The unit only offers your next best option for your travel plan. Unit allows for a larger memory card. I have an 8Gb in my unit. Overall I am very pleased with this product.

Pros: Lifetime Map Updates & Traffic, Choose from custom "dashboards"

Cons: None

First GPS

PeteMLB from Long Island, NY on 1/28/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my first GPS unit and thus far it has exceeded my expectations. With voice command, blue tooth, traffic updates and great graphics I couldn't ask for more I highly recommend it.

Pros: Large screen Blue tooth Voice command Traffic updates

Cons: None

Went into simulator mode and won't come out.

Buck from Atlanta on 12/23/2011

Display is low resolution for 5" display and roads look like pepper sprinkled randomly instead of clear streets and roads. Updated firmware and maps and unit went into simulator mode (no GPS satellite reception) and won't come out. If the unit won't receive GPS satellite signals and won't get a position fix then what's the point?

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Display is low resolution for 5". Went into simulator mode and won't come out.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my fourth Garmin GPS, The 2595 required 6 firmware updates even though the unit has been in production only 1 month. After all the updates the unit workde well for 1 hour and then quit. I returned this unit to Crutchfield who promptly refunded my money. This is the second BAD Garmin I have received in the past six months (2460). It makes you wonder about their quality control.

Pros: Bright screen Small size

Cons: New operating system

Hey It Works GREAT!

RobertV from San Diego, CA on 11/7/2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great service from Crutchfield, fast UPS shipping, worked right out of the box. Downloaded firmware and map was current from, follow download directions exactly. Buy a garmin nuvi (removable) 9" flexible windshield extension to mount unit on the driver side, I don't like anything obstructing my windshield front view. Buy a screen protector and a hard case for your gps unit. Opted to buy a GTM60 digital traffic receiver but the stock GTM26 works good. Accesories add up the cost sharply. Spliced into another cigarette connector underneath dash wiring and out to a side vent hole to manualy connect/disconnect to this unit for a nice clean look, no wires dangling, no obstructions, able to remove unit which greatly decrease theft problem by leaving unit in car. This is my first GPS unit, easy to navigate and learn, really impressed. Highly recommend this gps unit.

Pros: Contrasting color display on a wide 5" screen , up comming street names, road curvatures, points of interest, bluetooth at the touch to answer calls, internal microphone and speaker to announce voice street directions and freeway exits. Voice and volume can be turned off. Clear voice and volume control.

Cons: Any NEW addresses that are not registered on MAPQUEST will not be displayed by the Garmin 2565LMT, eventhough the the Garmin map is "CURRENT." Wish the street/road hazards would be displayed live, on the same main street display not with a seperate button display.

At Crutchfield, you'll get detailed, accurate information that's hard to find elsewhere. That's because we have our own in-house Product Research team. They verify what’s in the box, check the owner's manual, and record dimensions, features and specs. We stay on top of new products and technologies to help people make informed choices.
