Track your life

Garmin's vivofit™ is your ticket to living the life you want. Your vivofit band tracks the steps you take, the distance you travel, and the calories you burn throughout the day. As time goes on, vivofit assesses your fitness level and then assigns daily goals that gradually bump up your fitness and propel you towards the healthy lifestyle you're trying to achieve.

And vivofit doesn't take time off — it can track the quality of your rest while you're sleeping. At work, vivofit will even remind you to get out of your seat and move. Sit too long and a red bar appears — get up and move for a few minutes and it resets.

I am finding the vivofit very helpful in keeping me aware of how many steps I walk a day.

Pros: easily readable, sleep buttom very helpful so start fresh every day, has the ability to monitor a few things, easy to clean

Cons: bracelet difficult at times to take on and off, would be nice if face separate and different bracelets could snap on,

Works well

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It has taken a little over a week, but it is finally figured out my gait. Of course, it still misses some steps and even if I am very active at work, it will still say I am inactive. I also can't use it during water Aerobics, and that is a lot of activity. If I had wanted all the other bells and whistles I would have gone with the smart.

Pros: Easy to read, easy to use

Cons: Misses steps and activity. Not waterproof.

Viva Vivofit!

Tim K. from Virginia on 2/9/2015

Bought the Vivofit for my wife for Christmas. She only wanted a pedometer, but I decided to get something nicer. She likes that it keeps her motivated to keep moving and to get up from her desk when the display turns "red" from inactivity. It's especially nice that you can get info from the band itself and don't have to be tethered to your phone all the time. 2 thumbs up!

Pros: Ease of use. Don't have to be tethered to your phone.

Cons: None

Overview: The Garmin vívofit is a water-resistant fitness band that helps you reach your personal fitness goals. The slender, lightweight device is worn on the wrist, and displays your steps, calories burned, and distances traveled, and alerts you when you've reached your daily goal. With the optional ANT+ wireless premiumheart rate monitor, it shows your current heart rate and your heart rate zone. It can even monitor your sleep. The vívofit weighs less than an ounce, and comes in five color choices.

Garmin Connect: The vívofit has built-in Bluetooth Smart technology so you can automatically pair it to your smartphone or mobile device. You can also use the supplied wireless USB ANT+ stick to connect the device to your home computer. With the Garmin Connect app on your phone or computer, you can keep track of your activities, your daily goals, the calories you've burned, and help motivate you to keep active. You can also share your activities and goals with your friends on social media. The vívofit settings are configured on Garmin Connect, including Time Format (12-hour or 24-hour), Measurement Units (miles or kilometers), Visible Screens, and Auto Goal. The vívofit is compatible with the following devices:

  • Android:
    • HTC One
    • Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Note 3, S3, S4
