Overview

Our take on the Dynamat 10135 Original Door Kit

Have you ever had to crank up your sound system just so you could hear it over distracting road noise? Dynamat Door Kits put up a sonic barrier that keeps noise out and your system's sound in. That means you'll hear more music using less power — effectively increasing your amplifier's output!

Dynamat Original (.070" thick) is a styrene-butyadine-rubber-based, pressure-sensitive adhesive-backed, heat bondable vibrational damper. It works great in most applications!

Contains four 10" x 32" sheets.

Good Stuff

Oz from Olympia WA on 5/27/2008

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This stuff is great! Very easy to install, I put it on in my drive-way in about an hour. The door panels pushed right through the mat and made for a nice tight fit. Not only does it help your stereo sound better it also makes the ride more comfortable by blocking out road noise. So it would even help a stock system. This step is often overlooked by the amateurs. This stuff is what separates the true "Music" fans from the annoying tin can rattlers that we all have experienced at the local parking lots.

Not worth the high price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I did not nor could not tell any difference after installing it below and above the rear deck of my '05 mustang. Installation was easy, used a wall paper roller and a hair dryer. Was it worth the money? No, I can't tell any change. Everyone who raves about this stuff must have better hearing than me or they just don't want to sound foolish that they spent a bunch on something that has no effect or that has such a minimal effect that to me anyway it is a waste of time and money.

Cons:

No discerable decrease in road noise.

bohrerclancy from Portland, OR on 11/1/2007

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla LE. I found no decrease in road noise and neither have others who have been in the car before and after installation. I installed it in the front driver and passenger doors following the directions exactly about a month ago and the stuff is still off-gassing a delightful petrochemical odor. Consider investing in a better set of speakers, deck or amp instead.

Fast, Easy and Great!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Just put these on my doors today, and boy was it easy! The material is very forgiving, so if you place it wrong, just pull it up and move it. The stuff works great! Low road noise and crystal clear speakers. The four sheets proved to be plenty for two doors on my four door sedan.

Don't go without

Ron from Houston, Tx. on 8/18/2006

If you are installing a new pair of speakers in your vehicle, don't go without spending a little more money and putting this material with them. It really does work!!! The only drawbacks are the price and the amount of material you get. This kit is supposed to cover 2 doors. Ain't goning to happen. Try 1 1/2 doors. Be sure and buy extra.

Pros:

Cons:

Its alright

murph from washington PA on 1/23/2006

It really does work. Thats the main point. But application is really a pain. You need a heat gun and a roller where as the Xtreme you dont even really need a roller. Application on the original is somewhat difficult. Definately reccomend Dynamat Xtreme Kits.

Excellent

Mike from Mooresville,NC on 7/19/2005

I've always heard about Dynamat but had never used it. Well this time I'm building the system I always wanted and decided to put the Dynamant in. This stuff works period. I noticed less road noise and the components in the door sound fuller. Now I just have to do the rest of the truck.
