Dynamat Door Kits put up a sonic barrier that keeps noise out and your system's sound in. That means you'll hear more music using less power — effectively increasing your amplifier's output.
High-performance Dynamat Xtreme is a patented, lightweight elastomeric butyl and aluminum constrained-layer vibrational damper. At .044" thick, it's lighter than Dynamat Original, four times more effective, requires no heat to apply and is recommended for contoured vehicle panels. Dynamat Xtreme is coated with aluminum to make it ideal for high temperature areas such as firewalls and floors - and for high SPL environments.
Contains four 12" x 36" sheets. Warranty: 60 days.

Average Customer Review(s):
Pros: Effective, easy to install
Dynamat works great. Reduced road noise through the doors, improved full range of tone from the new speakers. Easy to apply, just used disposable razor cutter blades, they get dull quick. And once in place, it sticks, so position carefully.
A good amount of product and applied easily. I only give it four stars because I think the price is a little high for what you get. If the rubber roller was included in the kit, it's a steal.
Pros: Quality oroduct
Cons: Priced a little high
Fit perfectly on my doors, made my audio sound better, and took away some road noise.
Pros: Fitment is perfect for my doors.
Cons: Pricey but worth it.
I started a sound system upgrade to my Ford F350 Superduty. The first stage was to replace the speaker system. As a part of that process, I removed the interior door panels (front & rear) and installed Dynamat & Dynaliner to the doors (covering the entire doors behind the interior trim) before installing the speakers. This created a completely new environment. Not only does this remove any potential vibration created by the sound, but is also adds some great acoustics to the trucks interior. A diesel truck creates considerably more noise than a gas truck, and this solved a large portion of that problem, combined with reducing road noise. I was completely surprised at the vast improvement by just adding these products.
Pros: Fantastic sound, no vibration, reduced road noise.
Cons: The products are a little pricey.
The Dynamat 10435 Xtreme Door Kit really works. Great product! My car is now quiet (doors), but I will need to purchase the floor kit to make it completely quiet.
Pros: It really works as specified.
I am extremely happy with the outcome of this product.
Pros: Makes my music sound crisper, and I love it
If you want the best option for silencing road noise or speaker vibration in your door panels or back parcel shelf, this is the way to go. SUre there are other cheaper options out there, but in my opinion the extra is worth the money for the quality of the original and segment leader.
Pros: Superb sound deadening.
Cons: A little pricey
Great product used to have all kinds of rattles and squeaks and wind noises, but put the Dynamat in and now no more noises just great speaker sound.
Pros: best product for the doors of cars and trucks.
Cons: Not easy to work with but a little patience and you will reap the rewards of a nice quite door.
This kit comes with four separate sheets. I only used a total of two sheets for my 1987 Buick Grand National (2 door). There is plenty to cover a four door or two door and other panels or trunk...Easy to use, cut, pull paper to exposed adhesive and apply. It created a more "solid" sound when I close the door.
Pros: Easy to use
I've been using Dynamat since the cork version first came out. Dynamat xtreme is extremely effective in reducing vibration and unwanted noise. I just installed in 2013 Ram Quad Cab. The improvement is tonal sound quality is tremendous. If you're spending the money in a car audio upgrade, especially high end, don't skimp ...install dynamat!
Pros: It works...kills unwanted noise and improves sound quality. Easy to install.
Cons: Slghtly expensive.
Installed 4 new speakers and used the Dynamat on each door now my ride sounds like a high end auto deep rich sound and no more road noise I love it you gotta use this when replacing speaker's it makes a big difference
Pros: Sound proof a must do
Cons: Pricey but way worth it
works good, easy to apply, spendy
Definitely takes the flimsy sound out of the door metal. Haven't yet updated speakers but I can tell from factory speakers that I am getting better sound into the cab as the surrounding metal is now not resonating. Easy to install. Used on both the inside of outer door skin (reaching through access openings) and on front surface of inside of door. Also placed around lip of speaker mounting area. Will likely purchase more and add to other places.
Pros: Works as advertised; easy to cut and apply
Installed this dynamat kit in the doors and rear deck of my '14 mustang when I did my audio upgrades. The passenger door used to have some rattle with the junk stock 8" door subs, now the rattle is gone. I disconnected the stock subs, but the component speakers I installed have more mid bass than they ever did anyways. I also did a JL10w3 in the trunk, and even with songs that hit hard the only rattle I have right now is from the rear view mirror and a tad from the license plate. I will be buying more dynamat in the future for sure.
Pros: Eliminated door rattle Sub doesn't make my car sound like aluminum cans in a bag
Cons: A little pricey, buy once cry once. Don't mess with other products that may produce and odor... peel and seal is not for cars
Hush matting makes all the difference in the world. Our 2002 Camry was so noisy while driving down the road and whenever my husband was talking on Bluetooth we could hear every part of the conversation from the outside the car. Once installed it was a light muffle and the interior sound was greatly improved. I would highly recommend this addition to any vehicle.
Pros: Well worth the cost and investment.
This product is worth ever penny. If you invest in a good balanced system You must sound proof as much as possible.
Pros: Easy install Quality product
Cons: Little Pricey
A must have. You will need this to make your speakers sound up to their potential. Be careful as the sheeting may cut fingers
Pros: Works as described. Very important to use in car speaker install
Cons: sheeting can cut fingers. Use gloves
Great product. Well worth the investment.
Very easy to work with. I had no problems installing it. I'm happy with the product.
Pros: Easy installation.
Dynamat is a very effective and indispensable if you really care about your acoustical environment.
Pros: Changes the entire acoustic dimension of your vehicle for the better. Quiets road noise and reduces the resonance of your vehicle's interior. It has impacted the performance of my sound system.
Cons: Pricey. It is also tedious to install.but a good investment.
This stuff does as promised.I used it on all 4 doors before installing new speakers in. Before I would get door rattles even at moderate bass with the stock sound system. Now I'm cranking it at heavy bass with my new headunit, speaker and amp. I thought a 2 door kit was plenty for my WRX hatch because about 3/4 of the door wrapped with dynomat seemed plenty.
Pros: You don't hear sound rattles anymore
This Dynamat is easy to work with and does a fantastic job od "deadening" road/outside noise.
Works Great in helping keep the sound contained out of the areas you don't want it.
Great product, used on front doors of a toyota tundra and had left overs,
Pros: The top cover is black
I am soo very pleased that Dynamat now has their product in a black chrome finish. It makes it a little less noticeable now. Great product as always!
Pros: Black chrome finish makes it less of an eye sore in some areas where product is exposed. Dampens the vibrations on my civics deck and doors with no problem.
Good product, exactly what i expected.
Pros: Good product, exactly what i expected.
Cons: None--just use gloves or a roller unless you want bloody fingers.
Very good at reducing door vibrations from speakers. I have not road tested, so I am not sure if it removes road noise. Easy to work with. The hard part is figuring out Toyota tricks for working with the door hardware.
Thank you Crutchfield and Dynamat. Using the door kit worked perfectly on the two front doors. The manufacturer only used a (very) thin sheet of plastic to isolate road noise. The Dynamat kit gave the door speakers more kick and added a more satisfying feel, (better thud) when the doors are pulled shut. Rarely does a product work exactly as promoted. This is one of those rare ones. Try the Dynamat Door Kit. You'll hear (and feel) the difference.
Pros: Easy to install. More than enough for two big doors. Works perfectly.
Honestly I know this product is better than the plastic liner on my doors, but to my ear it's not a major difference. I feel the doors are a little more sturdy feeling, when closing and opening. I'm sure if I did the whole cab I would notice more. But one step at a time...
Pros: Professional grade.
Cons: Little pricey and labor intensive.
Did all 4 of the doors in my '98 Blazer LS. I would recomend this item for people who want high-end stereo installs but not for those who want average installs such as myself. Not too hard to install, reduction of road noise and added extra bass.
Pros: Added extra bass!
Product does exactly what it says, stops vibration, deadens road noise..................and as usual, Crutchfield customer service is second to none..I recomend Crutchfield every chance I get. Thank You
adding dynamat to my old truck doors really helped. not just rattles, but much better mid bass.
Pros: better mid bass, fewer rattles.
Cons: a little pricey. i would do more of the truck but 100 for just the doors seemed high.
This product works great. very use to apply so long as its warm out. cuts easy and fits anywhere. use gloves.
Works well. Easy to work with. Should have used this sound deadener years ago when I first purchased my 1999 Grand prix when it was new
This was a good move. Road and engine noise are appreciably reduced. The car rides quieter and I can appreciate the music much better. It's not hard to install, just a little extra time and patience. The car actually has a more sumptuous feel about it.
I've put a couple hundred miles on my 2009 Ford Focus since installing the Dynamat Extreme door kits in all four doors, along with two pair of Boston Acoustics S85s. The Dynamat works as well as claimed, with a very noticeable reduction in road noise, enabling clear listening at lower volumes and a more satisfying experience at louder volumes. Worth the price, and maybe even the weight! (A light sedan like my Focus tells you right away when you've added weight to the vehicle!)
Good product, easy application, form fitting. The only thing is that it doesnt kill all of the noise of a powerful amp and sub combo. I have a dodge ram 1500 07' standard cab pickup. I have a 10" dvc bazooka tube ( thats all that fits) and an alpine v power m-500 amp and when i play a heavy bass song the panel vibrates outside. I had to double up with the extreme and also had to stuff fiber fill in the door pillar and also behind the interior trim. Success!!! I can crank it all the way up and only a whisper outside. Next up..... Inside the door itself. I'd do it again. Also open box saves money too! It gets covered up , and you throw away the box after use anyway! Crutchfield is great for suggesting this, and the return policy is phenomenal!
I was very impressed with how easily this product installs. That's said with the understanding that stripping your car doors down to the bare metal is going to be a pain in the butt no matter how you look at it, but once you're to that point, the Dynamat goes on quickly and easily. It's extremely tacky and flexible, will mold to any contour, and sticks like glue. It'll even survive having to pull it back up to adjust it. One door kit was enough to completely cover the front doors in my WRX wagon, and there were enough scraps left over to do more than half of the rears. I can't really give a fair review of the change in sound quality because this was put in as part of a full system upgrade. I don't notice a huge reduction in road noise, but as another reviewer said, you'd need to dampen quite a bit more than the doors for that to happen.
Be sure to get enough product to do both the inside and the outside of the doors. The very most important benefit is about an extra octave of deep, solid bass from your existing speakers! And no buzzy wheezy rattles. You may not need new ones! I was shocked. The second benefit is a noticeable reduction in road noise COMING FROM OTHER VEHICLES, ONLY. You will no longer hear cars passing, trains, etc. or at least very substantially reduced volumes. Unfortunately, this treatment will not significantly reduce the sound of your own tires, especially on pock marked pavement like concrete. Unfortunately, that is probably 60-70% of the sound you hear. You can only eliminate that with a wheel well sound damping product, or layers of dynamat or similar on the flooring, between you and the sound coming from the tires. That is very labor intensive, to completely strip your interior. I paid a local shop $250 labor to do all 4 doors.. and glad I did. Next I will install wheel well damper.
easy to install and works great. a bit on the expensive side but is worth it.
I was very skeptical that this would make a difference, but after reading the reviews decided to give it a shot, hoping that in combination with new speakers it would make a good upgrade. I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The car is now a lot quieter. The only down side is that after about 3mo, I've gotten used to the difference, and now it seems "loud" again (though I know if I took the stuff out it would be awful). So very much worth the time and effort. I did all 4 doors of a Mazda 3 hatchback in about 8-9h.
It is really hard to believe that putting this stuff in your doors would work, but it does. I was having some rattling issues and bought the door kit and installed in both doors and the rattle is gone and everything sounds alot clearer then it did before. If you are looking for a cheap sound upgrade, but this stuff!
I was not so impressed with this product. I used three boxes of it to "treat" all four doors of my 2006 Subaru wagon, plus the spare tire well area. On the doors I covered both the outside & inside sheet metal. I spent about 4 hours just putting the Dynamat on (not counting taking apart & reassembling the car). I will say that the sound from my speakers seems, perhaps, somewhat better. But I am disappointed that there hasn't been much, if any, reduction in road noise. It's possible that a decibel meter would detect some change, but my ear can't really tell. I was hoping for something more noticeable in exchange for the time & expense.
I was skeptical at first thinking that this stuff didn't really make a difference. I bought this Door kit and it took me about 2 hours to cover both my doors on my 2 door Dodge Stealth. I had leftover and used it on my trunk. I was surprised after I got on the road, I didn't have to turn my stereo up as loud to hear it and I noticed that the vibrations weren't so bad and were quieter. I am planning on getting some more for my trunk. I would recommend this product if you want a better sounding stereo.
I purchased three sets of the door kit, and two sets of the speaker kit.

With that amount of Dynamat, there was enough material for all four doors of both my 2005 Corolla and 2003 Subaru Outback Wagon. There was enough material left over so I put a second layer on about 25% of the Corolla's two front doors.

For me, the most apparent effect of using Dynamat is the noticeable increase in the quality of sound coming from my sound system. After I installed the Dynamat, my car sounds like I installed a very very good, high-end set of bookshelf speakers in my car. The sound is just beautiful!! I can hear every note and detail!

I covered every hole in the door panel with Dynamat. The speakers now produce crisp, accurate highs and lows. I have subwoofers in both cars, but the door and rear deck speakers now produce wonderful mids that were non-existent before.

Door panel vibrations and rattles caused by my subwoofers and road imperfections have also been eliminated.

Is Dynamat worth it? For me, ABSOLUTELY!!
MY SETUP:
2001 Toyota Tacoma Ext Cab SR5 TRD
Kenwood Excelon KDC-X790
Pioneer TS-A6871R (in doors and rear panel)
Factory door tweeters
Alpine MRP-F250 (under driver seat)
Kenwood KSC-SW1 (under passenger seat)
Dynamat Extreme (100 sq ft - floors, doors, & panels)

MY THOUGHTS:
Came together beautifully. GET THE DYNAMAT! Believe it or not, it is the foundation for all else; works amazingly well! Road noise is dramatically decreased. The 6x8's are loving the amp! Great bass response and super-crisp highs, although too powerful of mids can muddy up the music, so adjust as necessary. The amp is super-clean and gets those 6x8's LOUD! Often too loud for my liking, so the gain stays at half. The sub mounted perfectly under the seat and was CRITICAL for balance. It outperforms what I hoped for without upsetting the neighbors. Sometimes strains with rap, hiphop, techno, etc., but performs very well with all else. Finally, the head unit is loaded with options, including mp3 player input - 'nuff said.

If I could do it all again, I think I'd do components in the doors for add'l bass response and the tweeter upgrade (and may end up anyway). But, all-in-all, I am VERY pleased with this setup. 15+ hours of install, but completely worth it. People can't believe how great my truck sounds, and better yet: they can't see a thing! Stealth rules.

Thanks Crutchfield for all your goodies and your help!
I installed the kit in a 99 Saturn SL. There was enough to cover both of the front doors, and the entire back deck with scraps left. It is easy to install in the summer. Just put it out in the sun for a few minutes to soften in the heat. Make sure you wear gloves when pressing it into the curves of the door panels. I found that the metal cover split in some places and sliced into my fingers easily.

It has helped with low frequency noise like the sound of the tires rolling on the pavement. The wind noise is still high in the car, but it is definately quieter.
Installed Dynamat Xtreme this weekend in my 2000 Chevy Silverado....This stuff is AWESOME...It deadened the road noise 100 fold. I can hear my stereo like I added an amplifier!!! Gotta' get you some of this for your ride...Kind of expensive but well worth the expense!!!

Two Thumbs UP!!!
I have used this product repeatedly - the first time in my 1998 Silverado "dooley", and most recently in my new Jeep Liberty. I ordered the door kit, which arrives packaged in four rectangular sheets. The first thing you'll notice is the heft of this material - it is thin, yet solid.

After removing the OEM plastic liner from inside the door panels, I laid the DynaMat out on the lawn and used a black marker to trace an outline from the OEM plastic liners. Then I left them in the sun to warm up slightly, which makes them "tackier" and easier to mold into the contours of your door panels. A quick wipe of the metal surfaces with denatured alcohol was the only prep work to do before installation. Save the trimmed pieces, too - they'll come in handy later to fill small gaps in the material.

Installation will be time consuming, so plan on spending the time to get it done right (my Jeep Liberty took all afternoon). After installation of the DynaMat and my new speakers, I've got audio coming out that I hadn't realized was missing ! With the added material the doors have a slighter heavier thud upon closing - not such a bad thing. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Once you use it and actually hear the difference it makes, you'll be glad to got it. DynaMat may be expensive, but it's worth every penny if you really want to squeeze every ounce of quality sound from your speakers. I'd give it seven stars out of five :)
Overview: Dynamat Xtreme provides four times the damping efficiency of Original Dynamat, the conforming ability of Premium Dynamat, and the radiant energy reflection of Super Dynamat. Dynamat Xtreme has an aluminum layer for high-temperature areas. Dynamat Xtreme will create a seal and damp the door panel to maximize your system's performance.
Self-Adhesive: The rubber layer of Dynamat Xtreme is very sticky, so it comes with a peel-off paper liner. Once the paper liner is peeled from the rubber layer, Dynamat Xtreme can be adhered to your door panel.
Easy to Cut: The material cuts easily with scissors or a razor knife.

This stuff is great in cars, but did you know it works great in other places, too? I am putting a bunch of this along a long A/C duct run in my house to minimize vibrations. Heck, if there's any left over I'll just put it around my door speakers in the car. So many uses for this stuff. [ ZACHARY Oct 03, 2016 ]

I have used this item in previous installs and wouldn't install door speakers without it. [ Steven Jan 19, 2016 ]
Dynamat has had a good track record and it did a great job at quieting resonance in previous cars I've owned. Compared to the basic dynamat that apparently isn't available anymore, it's much lighter. I had remnants of dynamat and dynamat xtreme, and 9 years later the xtreme is still a usable product whereas the basic stuff hardened up. Second Skin Damplifier was my other choice but it was a hassle for shipping to my location. [ Mark Jan 18, 2016 ]
To lower outside noise. [ bill Dec 15, 2015 ]
This stuff is excellent, but pricey. My recommendation is to buy the bulk set - if you want to cover bigger doors (my application was for a four-door Ford F150), you'll actually be short a bit.... Shockingly good effect! [ WILLIAM T Dec 09, 2015 ]
I used it before and enjoyed the easy of installation. This is the largest kit and offers the most square footage. [ Damon Dec 07, 2015 ]
It adheres to the inside of your doors, body panels, floor boards, etc. and it deadens road noise and reduces vibrations from a myriad of different sources. It helps get more of your music get to your ear, instead of getting lost or going elsewhere! [ Jeff May 30, 2016 ]
It not only reduces vibrations but gives a sound barrier (keeps the outside noise out and inside noise in) works well, be thorough when putting in for best results but even a little helps. I installed on my 75 dodge truck doors and it helped a lot. I'd like to do more in the cab since its all just metal [ brian May 30, 2016 ]
IT makes a huge difference.. Did my trunk and two front doors. It's a lot of work. But it is Worth it. If you are going to keep your car that is. [ Preston May 30, 2016 ]
