Great exchanger

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this item about 9 years ago and it is a very good exchanger. better than the standard 6 disc player that came with the truck. It has hours of play back music. Crutchfield is a very good company to work with , great help in answering questions. Their product pricing is very competitive with everyone. Easy hook up to my Sony Radio that I purchased at the same time.

Pros: Was easy to install once the old changer was removed.

Cons: I found no cons with the system

The best add on !!

Great unit for the money

Michael from Hillsborough, NJ on 10/27/2008

I bought this unit because it hooked up directly to the Sony radio that was in the car and it was a simple operation. I had it up and working in less that 30 minutes including mounting and snaking the wires. I have had other changers in the past and this unit is by far the most reliable player on rough roads, I haven't noticed a single skip in the 3 weeks that I have been using it. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wishes to start new or upgrade the unit they have now.

Best option for Sony stereos

James from Orlando, FL on 10/6/2008

2000 Nissan Xterra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The CDX-757MX was a great upgrade to my Sony stereo I bought as a package. Having an SUV was a challenge to find a suitable mounting location where it would not be subjected to damage. I didn't want to mount it in the cargo area so, after a few minor scratches, I was able (barely) to get it under the front passenger seat of my 2000 Xterra. Safe and sound under the seat, it has been working great. I have no comparison to other changers since this is my first. Now I will never go back to the old single CD stereo. It is a little lighter-weight than I was expecting, not cheap, just could have had thicker metal. Also had a strange plastic push/slide cartridge opening mechanism that felt a bit under designed. With 10 CDs inside, I don't need to open and close it much anyway.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Sony CDX-757MX is an awesome changer. It's pretty fast changing from one disc to another and since I was replacing a CDX-T69 I didn't even need to switch the cables already installed. Add getting it from Crutchfield you can't beat the deal or service, that's a plus.

Excellent changer

Dr. Claw from Parts Unknown, OH on 3/10/2007

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've had this changer in tandem with the XR-CA350X for 3 years now; CDs change quickly, sound is very clear, and it handles the most "speckled" of CDs without a skip (CDs really have to be seriously damaged for it to hit a snag). Compared to some of its other changers over the years, this one is head and shoulders above the rest.

If you have a compatible Sony head unit, there's no reason one shouldn't add this to his/her arsenal. However, if one wants to add an iPod adapter and still use this changer, one will need the Sony XA-C40 splitter (~99.99) to add it as an additional source.

Easier than anything I've ever installed

Rudy from Portage, WI on 9/7/2006

The hardest part of this install was drilling the screws into my new car. Placement of the CD Player is crucial. Power source auto connected with the Sony Reciever I had also bought from these guys. Crutchfield makes this install super easy

Good Changer With Little Room For Improvement

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this changer a few months ago and I love the shear volume of music (MP3) available at my fingertips. At virtually 7 GIGS. I have days of music that rarely gets old.

Set up was very easy and it was completed in just over ten minutes. As Usual, or so I'm told (This being my first Crutchfield purchase) Everything I needed was included in the price.

The only thing I could think of that would improve this changer is the playback of WMA Files. But I guess you can't have everything.

If you are looking to greatly expand your music selection without having to thumb through your collection while driving, I highly recommend this changer. Espescially if you already have a ton MP3 formatted songs.

This is a very nice cd-changer. It is very easy to install and hook up. It's small profile allows for installation almost any where. It works really well and looks very nice in my vehicle.

!FANTASTIC!

Cowboy Up from Langdon, ND on 1/21/2006

This changer is fantastic. It works seamlessly with any
sony "uni-link" reciever. I've used mine for nine months with the sony XR-CA350X. The changer is a rock solid performer, playing cd-r/rw and MP3 formatted disks. I use this changer in 4x4 truck and i have never had problems with skips. My favorite feature is th CD TEXT it will tell you the nam of the song the artist and the name of the disk, if so encoded.

Fine 10 disc changer

chetz from California on 7/8/2005

Another fine CD changer from Sony whose been doing it for so long, they may have been the first. Plays CD-RW which is a plus but for some strange reason this changer doesn't support SONY's own proprietary ATRAC format. Also it doesn't do WMA. But for those of you with vast MP3 collections, you can place songs in Groups (think folders) and shuffle within each group which is cool. A group could be anything, an album, a genre, a playlist. Groups/folders can even have sub folders.
All in all, highly recommended.

Pros:

Cons:

No more fumbling for disc

Markeyse from Sylmar, CA on 3/2/2005

Bought with the CDX-F5710, this CD changer is great. Cheaper than most CD changers, it does a great job changing disc, and letting me use the "List" button and searching up disc by pre- or programmed names. A must for audiophiles.

Cons:

Super deal

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have had this changer for about 3 years now, Its been the best upgrade to my sony head unit ever. Hours of endless play when you add MP3 disc, about aprox 100 songs to a disc at 128bit rate. (VBR not recomended) I recomend upgrading the RCA cables just to keep your sound transfer clean.
