Overview

Our take on the Sony FDA-EV1MK

Sony's revolutionary full-frame compact, the Cyber-shot RX-1, takes amazing pictures, but you need to use the back-panel display to frame up your shots, which isn't always ideal when you're trying to follow active motion. Unless — you have this high-resolution OLED (organic LED) electronic viewfinder parked on your camera's multi-interface shoe. With over 2.3 million dots of clarity and detail, you'll get a great representation of what your sensor sees while holding your camera at eye level. Plus, your camera's status will be easy to see at a glance thanks to the numerous choices for information overlay on the display.

All the information you need — at eye level

Customer Q&A

There is no published pin-out for the viewfinder. It's made for use with compatible Sony cameras that feature their "Multi-Interface Shoe" (DSC-RX1, DSC-RX1R, DSC-HX50V, and DSC-RX100 MKII) The viewfinder itself is an OLED display and "features 2,359,296 dots for exceptional resolution and high contrast ratio and reduced motion blur. You can see the results of camera adjustments in real time, plus the information display shows the camera settings. The viewfinder displays approximately 100% of what the sensor is reading for accurate framing and composition." I hope that helps.
