Take charge of your audio system with the Sony CDX-GT310 CD receiver's EQ3 3-band equalizer. Adjust the treble, midrange, and bass to tune in the sound you like and bring out the best in your music. If you don't have time to fine tune, you can make quick, on-the-fly sound adjustments with the seven preset tone settings.

The CDX-GT310 can play discs loaded with MP3 and WMA files, and the front panel auxiliary input makes it easy to connect your portable player. You can even adjust the level of the auxiliary source so that you don't have to turn up the volume when you switch from the radio or CD player. For other listening options, you can add Sony's iPod® adapter or a satellite radio tuner. A set of preamp outputs is on hand for connecting an external amplifier or powered subwoofer.

Sony's acclaimed SSIR-EXA radio tuner does a great job of pulling in AM and FM stations, so your local news, sports, and weather reports will always be on hand. The dark gray faceplate highlights the stereo's easy-to-read display, while the rotary control knob allows for easy volume adjustments. You can detach the faceplate to protect your investment when you're parked.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installed this yesterday in a 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. I replaced a factory stereo with this deck and Sony XS-V690HP's in the front and Sony XS-V160HP's in the rear. For small money, it sounds excellent. Much, much better than the factory stereo/CD player. Everything I needed came in one, nice shipment. Installation is easy if you follow all the steps sent to you in the Crutchfield directions sheet. Total time spent installing four speakers and the new CD receiver - about 3 1/2 hours.

I bought this receiver earlier in the year and installed it around Memorial Day. What a gem! I haven't installed an after-market radio in 21 years. Took me a bit because of the time from changing sterios but not to difficult to get in my '99 Dodge Ram 1500. BIG boost over the stock radio.
Love the number of EQ settings , the frount aux-in, and satellite capability. I was expecting descent sound and functions from it but I just couldn't believe all it had for the price. DEFINITELY worth every penny! Now if I can find the time to put in my rear Kicker speakers I bought through Crutchfield.

    EZ install good sound

This is a great stereo, especially for the price. It performs well and I've had no problems with it. Good buy.

    1997 Chevrolet Blazer
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have a '97 chevy blazer with a six speaker Delco system. About a year ago I decided to upgrade my speakers when 2 of them started to go bad. I replaced all six with Focals that sounded awesome from a local car stereo dealer. I was disappointed in the sound once they were installed in my truck. So this year I repaced my factory head unit with the Sony CDX-GT310. I wanted a head unit that I could easily connect my sons iPod to, play my MP3 disc on and had a custom EQ setting. After a week of research, online and the local dealers, I decided on the Sony CDX-GT310. The Sony CDX-GT310 had everything that I wanted. For the price you get more of everything than the other car receiver manufacturers. You get more EQ pre-sets, plus one for a custom setting. Even the presets can be adjusted according to the owners manual. You get better FM sensitivity and CD signal-to-noise ratio than the other manufacturers in this price range. You can even adjust the sound level of the auxilary input. Basically, you get more of everything for the money. I do have one minor complaint though, the onscreen display is unreadable when i open my sunroof. Best of all, my Focal speakers are truely singing now with this Sony head unit. It is just so amazing how much life this Sony head unit has brought to my sound system. to put it quite simply... IT ROCKS!!!

    Very good value!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've always been a fan of Sony products, and this one keeps my faith in Sony alive. Well laid out, easy to operate, display is visible in all kinds of lighting, and above all else, sounds great!
I REALLY like the front aux-in, which makes connecting my MP3 player or satellite radio a breeze. I wish more stereo makers would take note of this and quit putting the aux-in's on the rear.

Sony CDX-GT310 exceeds performance in this price range.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This unit installed easily and required no re-enginering. Eaze of operation has a learning curve some will not achieve readily. Compared to many other similar units, this one gives more for the money and provides much listening pleasure through custom adjusted settings and even preprogrammed settings.
