Sounds great in my 07 Corolla
2007 Toyota Corolla
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
My stock 6x9 speakers were manufactured in a cheap factory, are made of what appears to be fiber paper and are stamped 17.5 watts. These Sony speakers give beautiful sound. I should have done this years ago. My new Kenwood HU puts 50W to the rear speakers and this is a good match. Some issues: The Crutchfield-supplied speaker harness is too short on both sides for my 07 Corolla. I had to do some finagling with the existing wiring to just barely get this thing to reach the receptacles. But hey, they're free and I got them to work in the end. Why not make the wires an inch or two longer Crutchfield? (no big complaint here considering they're "free") I badly cracked my rear plastic deck lid while trying to lift it up. Be careful here - I think sunshine into the back window weakens plastic in this area. I don't want to know what the part costs. Luckily, it's not very noticeable in the back corner of my car. Could have been avoided if I slowed down. I obviously don't have a good 1/8" drill bit because I could not drill the 4 holes needed to properly mount the speakers. I used zip ties. Well, why drill holes? The ties worked great for me. Finally - WOW. What a difference. These sound great.
