Keep up with moving subjects

The a9's responsive Fast Hybrid autofocus system gives you clear action shots with powerful tracking that keeps moving subjects in sharp focus throughout the frame. The a9 can capture clear, crisp action sequences at up to 20 frames per second. The camera's electronic shutter mechanism eliminates blackout so you have a completely uninterrupted view of your subject even when firing the shutter.

Create stunning 4K movies

The a9 records video in Full HD and 4K. A multi interface shoe lets you connect professional microphone kits for balanced audio to match the video quality. A clean HDMI output sends uncompressed movie data to an external recorder or monitor. You can keep recording internally to the camera even when using this function.

Keep it steady

The a9's built-in five-axis image stabilization system helps you take tack-sharp photos and shake-free videos. This powerful system compensates for camera shake from five directions, giving you freedom to shoot handheld, zoom in on distant subjects, and capture sharp images in low light.
