Bass makes up about 30% of your music, and it gives music its power and impact. A good subwoofer can make an average car audio system sound good, and a good car audio system sound great. Good bass is all about moving air, and a cylindrical tube translates the motion of its woofer into maximum air pressure so you hear and feel more bass. Bazooka designed the Bass Tube to act like a bass cannon, firing low frequencies throughout your vehicle.
The BT1014 Bass Tube features a 10" polypropylene woofer with a twin-layer compressed foam surround for smooth excursion. The 4-layer voice coil ensures reliable power handling for plenty of punch, and its 4-ohm impedance allows you to power multiple tubes with a single amp. The tube design eliminates standing bass waves for accurate response and high efficiency. Find a good spot for a Bazooka Bass Tube in your vehicle and you'll still enjoy plenty of cargo room.
A compact Bass Tubes enclosure will fit in almost any vehicle, and you can disconnect it in a snap if you need more cargo space. Since the tube's speaker and port are right next to each other, you can get amazing results by "corner loading" your tube — placing it in a corner of your trunk or cargo area so your vehicle's boundaries act as a natural amplifier, boosting bass production. Great product as always with Bazooka. Smooth, loud, deep bass.
Pros: Quick easy , lots of basd
I replaced the stock head unit in my 2004 Mustang Convertible, and it sounded like crap! I was told by many people to get the car rewired, FOMCO, doesn't tell you if you take away from the Mach system it won't work properly. My bad! No, my good!!! I purchased the Polk Audio 551s's and the 651's, and there was a 1000% difference, but it was still lacking the oomph! At a suggestion from a friend, he said don't go too big on the sub......no more than a 10", and no less. I'm sooooo glad I puchased the 10" Bazooka Sub! It's perfect for the convertible! Windows and top down at highway speeds....still have that kicking Bass that isn't too overpowering, but people still know I have a great system now! Thanks Crutchfield!
Pros: Sounds great Looks great Ease of installing
Cons: Takes up more trunk space than I expected
Completely overhauled the sound system in my Mitsubishi Montero. Installed an Alpine 5 channel Amp, Kenwood Navigation system, Rockford Fosgate component speakers in all four doors, eight inch RF Sub-woofer in place of factory sub and better gauge wiring to all points. The Alpine amp seemed to be killing the speakers and the bass response wasn't where I wanted it. Swapped out a few speaker sets with Crutchfield without any hassle but system still lacked the sound I wanted. Finally went ahead and purchased the 10 inch passive bass tube, which I was reluctant to buy because of the space concerns but it turned out to be the missing link for my system. Just as advertised a good system will sound great and my system now sounds great. The unit does take up some space but that is the only trade off for good sound at a very reasonable price.
Pros: Great sound at a low price. Make a good sounding system with the power sound great.
Cons: You will have to deal with finding it a good location because it does take some space, but the sound it produces for the price makes it all worth it.
Very good product only reason for four stars is that it was larger than expected and wouldn't work for my application.
Pros: Good sound and build quality
Cons: To larger for my application.
I love speaker because I like to listen to music
Pros: I want to share with other people with my production what I have
Cons: i want to people know about it too
This Bazooka Tube is just that....amazing. I cannot believe that kind of sound comes from this single 10" sub. I had one in my Lightning behind the passenger seat and that is what made me buy another. It's hooked up to an 1100 watt 5 channel amp that pushes more power (RMS) to that channel than the sub is rated for, but it works flawlessly. I have it in my Forester and like the fact I can remove it if I need the room in the back. You really can't go wrong with this sub.....it produces so much clean and clear bottom end.......works perfectly with my Infinity Kappa's.
This is an awesome addition to my stock system. I added an older Alpine amp to power the BT1014. Placed the sub in the rear of my Suburban. Awesome sound. The sub fills in where my stereo leaves off. I can easily remove the sub if I need to carry something in the rear. I did notice that when I open any door, the bass does get louder.
Pros: Light weight for easy removal. The black finish blends in perfect with my interior. Great sound at a great price. The housing look durable! FREE SHIPPING. Even to Hawaii
Cons: Non so far.
This sounds amazing
Pros: The sound The shape The compactness
I've owned 7 bazooka's over the years amped and non amped,8 inch and 10 inch and you just cant beat them for sound per dollar where space is concerned.I just got the 10 inch non-amplified to replace an 8 inch model in my 2001 Durango. The 8 was great but the 10 just hits harder and a little deeper.I'm running an inexpensive Dual amp in bridged mode and this thing pounds! As far as sheer volume is concerned this tube is as loud as most sealed enclosures with two 10's that I've heard,if not louder. In an SUV it can be heard coming down the street if thats what you want.Sound quality is good,it will hit the low tones but not with much authority.Everything above 35,000hz will satisfy most folks though. Its loud, sounds good, lightweight and still leaves lots of room in my SUV! Great buy! One note though-Everyone complains about the mounting hardware. No it isn't high end,but it is FUNCTIONAL and if you're buying a sub like this then high end quality isn't really what you're after is it?The straps do work though you may have to tighten them occasionally.Don't let this stop you from buying this fantastic bass machine!
Pros: very loud even with low power.inexpensive.good build quality.good sound quality.lightweightnone
Relatively small but packs plenty of punch if powered properly, sounded a little muddy and boomy at first but after about a week the sub "broke in" and the response smoothed right out. More than enough bass for my needs. I have a 2008 wrx with infinity reference components up front and Polk mm651 in the rear being driven by an alpine pdxv9 (fits under passenger seat)
This 10" sub really sounds great! I've heard 12" subs that don't sound this good!! Once you hear it you'll be glad you bought it! I have a mono 800x1 watt amp powering the sub and I turned the gain down so it sounds even better. Trust me when I say Bazooka subs are the best design in the business!
Pros: Great sound for the price! Does not take up too much trunk space.
I've owned lots of car audio setups over the years. From 10's all the way up to a pair of 15's in a big ported box. Now that I'm older I was looking for a more sensible rounded overall sound in my car without taking up a bunch of space. I already had an Alpine MRP-M500 installed and pricing a single woofer paired with a generic box was just ending up too expensive. I decided to go with this product because of its track record, and was not disappointed at all. The bass seems to mesh into the sound of the rest of the system so that it's an overall richer sound. And I have my cargo area freed up again!
Pros: Solid enclosure, subtle branding with no flashy emblems. Took about 5 minutes to go from in the box to playing music. Connectors were solid and had zero issues.
Cons: When it arrived the rubber surround on the end with the speaker and port was loose. Tried to put it back on but it was slightly too large for the enclosure, easy fix though and it did not affect performance.
This is a great product for anyone looking for big bass and need space for your things! I have two BT1014 in my 1996 Mustang GT I can still carry my back pack laptop bag and the baby stroller. When I go shopping there is plenty room in the trunk I got rid of the box I have and replaced it with the bazooka tubs the sound changed for the better too its lower and sounds like the bass should sound! I highly recommend this product to anyone that has little space but don`t want a box too take all your trunk space! Thanks Bazooka for a great product and state of the art design! Thanks crutchfield for great customer service and carrying great products!!!!!
I bought this 10" bass tube to put in the trunk of my 2008 4 door Nissan Altima. I have had many different sub set ups in the past but I bought this to save some space in my trunk and to save some space in my wallet. Alot of people bash bass tubes but if you set it up corrrectly it is a great product! I have my sub running off a 200W bridged Profile amp (at about half gain)and a line output converter from the stock head unit. It gives lots of bass for hip hop, rock, etc... The key is to point the port side of the tube to the trunk of the car. At first I put it sideways and it sounded terrible. Pointing the port towards the back of the car literally doubled the output of this thing. It will not rattle your car apart or shake the person in the next car over, but it will give you more then enough bass in the car regardless of what type of music you listen too or how loud you want to listen too it. The only reason that I gave it a 4 is because the mounting straps are terrible. I'm working on securing the tube this weekend. I have to say that I am very pleased and would definitely buy this again.
I bought the bazooka tube due to lack of storage space behind my 95 Wrangler seat. I have the sub hooked up to a 4 channel amp bridged mono so the sub is getting 150w mono. I currently have mine crossed over at 80hz, which for this particular sub seems to be the magic point. I have tried setting the crossover point to 100hz but that tends to draw the front stage to the rear too much and anything lower than 80hz tends to take away from the snap of a 10 Im amazed at the performance of this sub! Its got a nice tight snap to it along with a very solid low end. Its handled anything I have thrown at so far..rock,rap,techno. Anyone looking to save on space with maximum yield results then a bazooka tube is definately the way to go.
My only complaint is that the stock bazooka speaker can't handle very much before distorting, still booms though! can't wait to install another speaker into the tube to increase the bass response. Great product even though i bought it from scratch and dent it still looked like brand new. Recommend this tube to anyone looking for space saving bass.
I have an Alpine CDE7872 head unit Audiobahn componets in the dash, Audiobahn 6.5's in the doors and a Crunch Blackmaxx MXB4125 amp in a 1991 mustang Hatchback.I purchased the Bazooka BT1014 to give my system some bass (it had very little).I listen rock, alternative and rap music and this little sub sounds great with them all. When cranked up it will make your ears hurt and you can actually feel the bass.I would highly recommend this sub. My neighbors may not be as happy as I am but this sub makes it sound like I have a whole new system. I had an MTX box in my last car and this sub seems much clearer what a difference.
I picked this sub up to replace my Bazooka TVB-141 which was taking up a bit too much space in my hatchback. This sub sounds fantastic. I can't believe that it has less S/N ratio but still booms much louder/clearer than my other sub. The fact that it takes up less space is nice too. I highly recommend Bazooka and their entire line of subs.
I bought this sub after i decided the 8 inch was not enough. I am by all means no expert, but this thing hit surprisingly hard. Even the guys at the stereo install shop were amazed. It doesnt distort and it sounds great. If you dont want a huge box in your car or truck, and dont wanna drill, etc. this would be a great, relatively inexpensive choice

Overview: The BT1014 features a water-resistant poly enclosure that houses a 10" poly woofer with a foam surround. The patented Bass Tube enclosure design eliminates bass standing waves for high accuracy, and superior efficiency.
5-Way Binding Posts: The 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade lugs, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.
Installation: Each mounting strap has an attached mounting base that can be secured to your vehicle using the supplied self-tapping screws. Once the mounting bases are installed, the tube is held in place by the mounting straps. For best results, the tube should be mounted facing into a corner, and there should be 2" to 4" between the woofer and the corner into which the woofer is pointing.

Bass tubes are tried and true, compact, and sound great[ Adam Apr 11, 2017 ]
I like it[ Greg Dec 15, 2015 ]
This is determined by what your amp will put out to this woofer and you buy accordingly. So check the specs on the amp output to the woofer.[ johnny Apr 06, 2016 ]
THe 4 has more power[ SAMUEL Apr 06, 2016 ]
the amount of load that the speaker can handle from the amplifier. typically amps are stable down to 4ohms, many high end ones are stable to 1 ohm load. If you don't match your speakers up to the load of the amp then you are going to fry something. stick with a 4 ohm speaker if you can.[ wesley Apr 06, 2016 ]
Yes, to get the most out of it. It will play without one but probably won't sound as good.[ johnny Apr 06, 2016 ]
yes, i would add an amplifier to get the best sound from it and chose an amplifier that has the recomended wattage. be sure to use the right wires gauges too. Enjoy![ JOSEPH Feb 12, 2015 ]
Yes, it requires an amp. You need to check the speaker to see how big of an amp you'll need to push the speaker. Crutchfield sells a large number of different sizes. Check the product before purchasing an amp is my best advice. The speaker information will tell you the minimum and maximum amps required.[ Greg Jan 31, 2015 ]
I use a kicker 300 watt amp for this product which I have bridged. Its a perfect size for just one bt1014 and enough power for even 2.[ Guest Jan 29, 2015 ]
Yes you would need to use an amp. The sound a sub will produce takes more power then a normal speaker.[ JOHN C Jan 29, 2015 ]
I do have an it amplified[ Steven Jan 29, 2015 ]
Yes. It's a 500W Alpine. W/ bass knob. The amp is under the front passenger seat and the Bazooka is strapped up against the 3rd row back rest. The knob is hidden near the driver's seat. I set the knob until the bass is almost too loud, then adjust it as needed thru my stock deck bass settings. I don't want the whole neighborhood to hear it. Hope that helps.[ Douglas Jan 29, 2015 ]
Yes[ Drew Jan 29, 2015 ]
Yes you will need an amp the tube is not powered. The better the amp the better the tube will sound.[ Gary Jan 29, 2015 ]
Yes it is not powered[ JUSTIN Jan 29, 2015 ]
Do you need a amp for this or can the radio be good enough[ gary Jan 29, 2015 ]
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.[ Krissy Aug 25, 2014 ] Staff
