The product was the best soloution to put sound in my classic 1963 Impala SS

Pros: Easy to install just a matter of running the wires where you needed them. I installed the unit under the back seat.

Cons: The unit only has enough power for the two pioneer speakers I also purchased. A inline10amp fuse is required but is not included.

Very Happy

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very happy with the unit. Installed into a 2013 HD 1200 motorcycle. Has enough poor to drive the speakers I installed. Unit was the nicest I could find for my application, I did search big box stores and audio shops. This unit fit nicely into the bottom of the rear saddle bag. Research shows this is a quality unit, I learned a lot about amps and wattage and be sure to educate yourself and then compare spec to spec not the splash advertising on the box or salesperson.

Pros: easy install, nice unit

Cons: No Bluetooth, Kicker makes a unit with Bluetooth when I ordered this unit. But there was no release date. Still happy with the unit I purchased.

Great Product

Great product if your in a wet or dirty environment. I installed this unit into my Polaris RZR. It's compact size lets you mount it on top of the dash/hood sub structure up and out of the way.

Pros: Unit works great

Cons: Unit was an open box purchase and 30 pin connector to proprietary cord was bad in the box. Crutchfield is making good on the purchase.

Pretty good product....

Installed the PXI in my EZ Go Golf Cart over the weekend. I'm not an expert electronics guy but it took me most of a full day? Had to cut the dash out for the remote control switch out of 1/4" Alum. not fun! Finally got the switch in the dash then ran remote/power wire's forward, down and back to the area under the seat where I wanted to mount the main amp. Wires barely reached, could be longer! Did not mount the amp yet to make sure where I wanted it worked with the speaker wires etc. so I installed the speakers next over head pointing aft on the front roof bar. (Used a pair of small marine box speakers). Finally had all hooked up just to make sure all worked before bolting down main amp and heat shrinking all connections. Plugged in the wife's I-phone 4S and only got sound out of the left front speaker??? Now 7 hours in I was not happy??? I asked the wife if she had a AUX cable so I could try that on the amps AUX input cable and "WALA" both speakers worked! BUT....only the volume worked on the dash remote? No control over switching songs, shuffle etc.?? Back in the US I called Kicker and was told it might have been the "case" on the I-phone not making full contact for the right speaker to work on the main remote cable. Cart is out of town so I will try without the i-phone case next trip. Over-all a good concept product if you dont want a main stereo head unit for your cart or UTV etc. Hopefully the case was my only problem and it will work as advertised!

Pros: Good concept, fair price.

Cons: Instructions could be better, needs longer cables to reach installation points. Amp does get very hot.

A con job

Don't bother. "The best way to take your iTunes with you anywhere!" Not true. Won't work with iPhone 4S; after I had purchased the unit and $300 worth of other equipment, I found a tiny little note on crutchfields website saying it won't work with the 4s. So I contacted crutchfield, and one of the reps told me and I quote: "your iPhone 4S will work just fine." A lie. Don't let them stiff you out of time and money. I will never buy from them again, and will advise everyone I know to steer clear of these con artists.

Pros: If you have an iPhone, none.

Cons: Lying crutchfield con men.

Kicker PXi50.2

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This product is everything that I was expecting. I installed this along with the PS5250 speakers and PXi200.1 with CVT651 sub on a 2012 Seadoo Wake Pro Watercraft. The sound is amazing and very clear. Very loud also. The amp draw is small enough that I didn't need to add or upgrade a battery.

Pros: Sound quality, size, easy install and easy to use without direct access to ipod.

Cons: The PS5250 speakers could have been more stylish. These are supposed to replace stock Harley motorcycle speakers, which has a grill covering them, but not for other applications.

Yes! I just added a cheep Bluetooth receiver that I found online. It connects to the aux port and now I can change all of the music and volume with my iPhone. [ jack  May 28, 2015 ]
no and the remote supplied only works the volume unless you are using a very old ipod. I recommend using the blue tooth enabled version of this unit. That is the one I thought I was getting when I ordered this one, but didnt realize it until it came in. [ kasey  May 28, 2015 ]
No sir, I do not believe so, It is my belief that you need the Bluetooth version of this amplifier. I normally just run my IPhone into the aux input. If you find out that you can add the Bluetooth capability please let me know, would be nice. [ DAVID E  May 28, 2015 ]
The controller is hard wired coming out of the unit and does not plug in to any receptacle where you could use a bluetooth adapter of any kind to replace all of the functions. If there is a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the actual ipod plug, then you could control your play selections from your phone or ipod but the volume would have to be preset or adjusted using the hardwired controller. Hope that helps. [ VINCENT E  May 28, 2015 ]
Unfortunately! You need to purchase the BT version. [ GRANT G  May 28, 2015 ]
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system. [ Krissy  Feb 17, 2015 ]  Staff
Probably so... If the volume setting on the phone is not turned up all the way while connected TO the remote, it does effect overall volume through the speakers... I'm assuming it would work the same way bypassed. A less expensive alternative would be just to purchase a separate amp and hook ur phone to it via a headphones/ to RCA adapter, if u plan on bypassing the remote anyway. Hope this helps [ CLINT C  Dec 27, 2014 ]
I haven't had any luck doing this. I have to use the remote to control the volume. Hope this helps [ Brian  Dec 26, 2014 ]
