Slim fit

These KS Series speakers are some of the most installation-friendly Kicker speakers yet. These low-profile speakers feature a reduced mounting depth, making them a match for almost any car.

Pump up the volume

While the low profile is an elegant asset, you'll find the real beauty of Kicker's KS Series speakers inside. The 41KSC464's highly sensitive design conjures hefty volume even from low-powered factory radios. So, you'll be able to enjoy every bit of their natural performance, starting with the surprisingly full sound of the 4"x6" polypropylene woofer and its powerful magnet. You'll also hear subtle vocal and instrumental details from the silk balanced dome tweeter, giving your music a dimension that factory speakers just can't manage.

Highlights:

  • 2-way car speakers (pair)
  • 4"x6" polypropylene woofer cone with rubber surround
  • 1/2" silk balanced dome tweeter
  • power range: 2-75 watts RMS (150 watts peak power)
  • frequency range: 50-20,000 Hz
  • sensitivity: 88 dB
  • top-mount depth: 1-3/4"
  • impedance: 4 ohms

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I didn't need front speakers but ordered them anyway while ordering the rear ones I did need. The sound from these is amazing. The bass response is impressive for a speaker that moves so little air. A pair of these in the dash corners of an old truck give roughly the same type of sound as a pair of quality book shelf speakers at home. I am impressed ! Cranking the factory 93 GM head unit to the point of clipping causes the speakers to do nothing to add to the unpleasant clipped signal , the db level at that point is quite impressive. Backing the volume down to a level the factory stereo can cleanly deliver yields volume loud enough to share your choice of music with other motorists at stoplights. They are very impressive for their size. I guess I did need new front speakers.

Great capability for a small speaker!

Tim R from Rochester, MN on 9/27/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have no choice in my 06 TJ Wrangler to go with this size of speaker unless I want to install special boxes to enclose them on the floor somewhere and I cannot be more impressed by such a small sized speaker! They fit perfectly where the factory speakers went with the bracket supplied by Crutchfield as well as the quick connect wiring that matched the OEM connections. You need to take your time and install the bracket carefully as to not break the corners(read that in a previous review, helped a lot). Matching up some great mid range speakers(I have the JBL Stage 502's) and some sort of subwoofer is obviously a must with this sized speaker. They handle a tremendous amount of power without distortion and produce the right amount of highs along with blending into my mid range speaker's sound. If you need this small of a speaker size and are building a COMPLETE sound system, I highly recommend these speakers! These never could be used alone or with a mid range with them only, need some low end with a sub to give you the best blend.

Pros: easy to install, Crutchfield gave me everything I needed to match my Jeep and install with a "one try" perfect installation. Handle power very well and complete a sound system perfectly!

Cons: None

Good sounds for small speakers. Very clear, even at high volume. But don't expect to get low mids or lows out of 4x6 speakers. Still have some work to do to get full sound. Crutchfield's accessories and instructions made installation so simple! Thanks Crutchfield!

Pros: Good, clean sound. Crutchfield's extra help.

Cons: Can't get really full sound from 4x6 speakers.

As a musician, I am quite pleased with the output of the Kicker's audio. The clarity, aesthetic of design, and ease of installation have convinced me to purchase another Kicker for my Jeep's soundbar to evenly round out the quality. I can't say I'll settle for any other brand, now.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Replaced the receiver in my 2003 Jeep Wrangler along with the speakers. Used these in the front and they have proven to be more than adequate for replacing the factory units. In fact, of all the components that were replaced I am the most impressed with these speakers. They are clear, crisp and with more punch than should be expected from this size of speaker. Ten minute install in my case and only five minutes if you do not wait for a soldering iron to heat up.

Pros: Extremely good value; much higher quality than cost dictates.

Cons: None unless expectations exceed the physical limitations of a speaker this size.

jeffvill1 from St Pete Beach, FL on 11/18/2015

These are great replacement speakers for the dash corners of my Wrangler. The speakers sound excellent and even came with a easy to use wiring harness that fit perfectly, along with a mounting bracket.

Pros: Very good sound for the price! Excellent value.

Cons: Mounting bracket is plastic, so when putting screws in it takes a lot of force and I was afraid I'd break it but didn't thankfully. Otherwise no complaints.

Kicker 4 x 6

Alan L from Virginia on 4/19/2015

Wow !!!!! One of the best small speakers I've heard in a while, great highs and mid"s... I purchased these and a set of Infinity reference ( 4 x 6 ) and combined them with a Kenwood head unit and a 12" JL sub and a old JL 6450 6 Channel amp. The 4x6 are in the factory location in a 2005 Peterbilt 379 big truck and the current setup works well for me. I thought I would have to go to component speakers because of the large space in a sleeper truck, not the case. I'm glad I tried these first before cutting up my interior for larger speakers, I may not upgrade for a while.

Pros: Great sound from such a small speaker, easy to install, very reasonable price

Cons: None yet, and I don't think I will have any. I've turned up the volume a few times and they sound great with distortion.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these to compliment the Kicker 41KSC674 6-3/4" 2-way Speakers that I purchased to replace blown OEM's in a 2003 Silverado (reg cab). These also are replacing the OEM's. While can't say that they produce a lot of bass, they do provide a great deal more clarity and detail than the OEM's. Personally I don't like them set at high volume relative to the fronts. I use them more or less for ambience. I should also mention that I mostly listen to talk radio (still using the OEM head unit), so music-wise I'm pretty much basing sound performance on commercials. I have on occasion tuned into a couple of R&B stations and was very satisfied compared to the OEM speakers.

Pros: Easy to install High clarity and detail

Cons: None

Polypropylene Woofer Cones: The Kicker KS-series speakers feature durable polypropylene woofer cones for power and control. Polypropylene is also resistant to moisture and the temperature extremes found in automotive applications.

Balanced Dome Tweeters: The 1/2" balanced dome silk tweeters provide a smooth high frequency response with a wide dispersion pattern. The tweeters have strong neodymium magnets for higher power handling. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter.

There are several limitations in the dash area of your Sierra. For this particular speaker the issue is with the magnet diameter. The magnet on this speaker is about 0.1" too large to fit in the hole in the dash. Your best bet will be to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you all the details on fit and help you track down a great pair of speakers. [ Jeff  Aug 12, 2015 ]  Staff
they handle as loud as I care to listen to in my jeep . I can hear very well even with all the noise from my jeep [ David L.  Dec 21, 2014 ]
They are clear and have a great sound but one of them seems to fail on the bass with high volume. (I like it loud!) I was going to put an amp in to push it better and clear that problem up. [ Thomas  Dec 20, 2014 ]
Thanks guys. My description was fairly vague. Lol. My kenwood goes to 35. Just looking for something that wont cut out or get crappy at upper volume. [ Donald  Dec 19, 2014 ]
Hi Donald, I installed these on a '72 Vette with a 300 watt system. They are decent and handle mid to mild upper drive well, don't know what you mean by 30 on your Kenwood. If it's mid to lower upper, these will be fine. [ Joseph  Dec 19, 2014 ]
I've never really turned mine up very loud. I drive a wrangler so the speakers are right next to me on all sides. I haven't had any problems with mine [ Bryan  Dec 19, 2014 ]
I have an Alpine head unit and don't go over 24 just because it hurts my ears beyond that. I have the 6-1/2s in the front and these 4x6s in the rear with a Rockford Fosgate punch powered sub. It sounds awesome and plenty loud for me. I really don't know how loud they can go. [ Coats  Dec 19, 2014 ]
