Overview: The SoundGate
PDCBLPAK Core System Package for iPod lets you connect select Apple iPods
directly to your factory or aftermarket radio and provides audio/video output
from compatible iPods. The SoundGate Core interface module supplies power,
charges your iPod and allows for remote control of all iPod functions via the REMCORE remote (available separately). The SoundGate PDCBLPAK utilizes
sophisticated microprocessor control, ultra-reliable surface-mount construction,
and advanced software design to flawlessly integrate with aftermarket and
factory vehicle audio/video systems. The included cables allow for connection to
any factory or aftermarket source unit with RCA or 1/8" audio inputs, and
a composite video input.

SoundGate PDCBLPAK features an iPod dock connector to connect your iPod and is compatible with the following iPod models for audio/video

Audio/Video Connections: The SoundGate Core System Package for iPod
features a 3.5mm AV output and comes supplied with a 3.5 minijack to composite
video/stereo RCA audio AV cable for audio/video connection, or a 3.5mm stereo
audio cable for audio only connection to your factory or aftermarket headunit.
Wired Remote Control: Your connected iPod's functions can be
controlled via the optional SoundGate REMCORE wired remote (available
separately). The REMCORE's simple, intuitive controls provide an easy and safe
way to navigate through your iPod's music library in your vehicle. The optional
wired remote connects to the 3.5mm remote control output on the PDCBLPAK
interface module. Alternatively, you may use select wire remotes that are
compatible with Sony wired remote capable headunits. The remotes include the
MRC2, RC1B, RM-X2S, RM-X4S, RM-X11M, and SONO1REM. If your vehicle is
equipped with a Sony headunit that features steering wheel controls (while
allows control over the radio via the vehicle's steering wheel controls),
you may also connect the male end of the 3.5mm cable from the steering wheel
interface into the remote port on the SoundGate Core.
Note: The SoundGate PDCBLPAK does not allow playback controls from
your connected aftermarket or factory headunit. Without the optional REMCORE
wired remote or compatible Sony wired remote, you will still use the iPod's
click-wheel or touchscreen to control your iPod.
Power Supply: The SoundGate PDCBLPAK must be supplied +12V switched,
+12V constant, and ground using the supplied power harness; or plugged into your
cigarette lighter adapter or 12-volt port using the supplied cigarette lighter
adapter plug. The PDCBLPAK will charge your iPod when connected once the
ignition is turned on using the power harness, or anytime using the 12-volt
cigarette lighter adapter.
