Ported truck enclosure with one 2-ohm 10" CompS subwoofer
Our take on the Kicker 40TCWS102 by Crutchfield's John Pollard
A match made in heaven...or Oklahoma
Kicker's 40TCWS102 loaded enclosure puts a thumping 10" subwoofer behind the seat of a truck or in any vehicle that's low on space. The rugged ported box was designed specifically for the subwoofer, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of tunes you enjoy.
The specially designed port gives you more bass without sounding sloppy.
Hard-hitting CompS sub
The 10" CompS sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, while the ribbed foam surround promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cone on target. The sub's steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.
Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port delivers more bass without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

96 Dodge Dakota. Hard hitting sound and fits great in the small space behind the seat.

Speaker Terminals: The spring post terminals are mounted on the left side of the enclosure and will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Woofers: The Kicker 40TCWS102 enclosure uses one 10" CompS subwoofer, wired to present a 2Ω load.
- Ribbed Surround: The optimized ribbed polyurethane helps eliminate flex and distortion.
- Spiralead Tinsel Leads: The durable Spiralead tinsel leads are woven into the woofer's spider, for added strength and reliability.
- Steel Basket with Vented Pole Piece: The steel basket's vented pole piece and Kicker's Quad Venting slots contribute to the woofers' efficient cooling and durability.
Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompS speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. Once broken-in, the subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Thanks for your question. Dimensions are 21-1/2"W x 15"H x 7-5/8"D1 x 4"D2 . You can find this information on the product page under "Product Highlights". Hope that helps. [ Kenny Nov 15, 2016 ] Staff
I really don't know. My subwoofer is behind my seat in a Chevy pickup. You can lay it on its back and it will still sound good. That speaker box is not that big so it might fit. [ SHANNON May 31, 2016 ]

I'm using a Kicker amp. CX300 mono block. It pounds the speaker really good. In fax it broke the speaker wire connections inside the sub woofer box where they had soldered the speaker wires. I just put regular speaker connections back on and it works great. [ SHANNON Dec 07, 2015 ]
I am Currently running a 300 watt Rorkford Fosgate amp @ 2 Ohms to this sub, its more than enough to power it and produce a good sound [ John Dec 07, 2015 ]
I paired it with a Kicker CX 300.1 and love it. [ Joey Dec 07, 2015 ]

Should be fine. All wire connections are located on the side of the box. [ Jason Michael Jan 15, 2015 ]
Definitely buy a grill to cover the woofer. The only potential issue with a flat mount is smaller debris having an easier time making its way through the grill. I leave mine free and with slack in the speaker wire so I can reconfigure it based on what I'm stuffing in the back. Hope that helps [ NASH Jan 14, 2015 ]
Yes it is , there's no problem with that it works fine but you need to put a cover on it to protect the speaker [ SAMUEL Jan 14, 2015 ]
Should be just fine. [ Benjamin Jan 14, 2015 ]
I have mine flat in the trunk of my 91 towncar. It's been working great for just over a year now. [ ANDREW Jan 14, 2015 ]
