Our take on the Terk TRK-SR2
Terk XM antennas send the strongest possible signal to your XM Satellite Radio tuner for error-free reception. Terk's TRK-SR2 antenna has a low-profile design, and mounts to your vehicle's roof with special adhesive foam pads (won't mar finish). The antenna is paintable, if you prefer that it matches your vehicle's color.
The antenna is tested to withstand extreme environmental conditions meets (AES) Automotive Environmental Standards. Two 10-1/2 foot micro-coaxial cables are included, which will connect to any XM tuner (micro cables are usually routed under molding of rear window to the XM tuner). Dimensions: 3-1/8"W x 1-1/2"H x 9-5/8"L.
Important Note: You must subscribe to XM Radio to receive the satellite radio signal.
What's in the Box:
- XM Radio roof-mount antenna with two 10.5' micro cables (one micro cable has a green connector for the terrestrial repeater signal and the other has a yellow connector for the satellite signal)
- 1 Alcohol prep pad

Overview: Terk XM antennas send the strongest possible signal to your XM Satellite Radio tuner for error-free reception. Terk's TRK-SR2 antenna has a low-profile design, and mounts to your vehicle's roof with special adhesive foam pads. Since the TRK-SR2 has dual-mode functionality, it allows you to receive terrestrial repeater and satellite signals. The antenna is tested to withstand extreme environmental conditions. The attached micro cables are designed to wrap around the rear window and to fold under the rubber molding for an invisible installation. The antenna is paintable, so it may be painted to match your vehicle's color. Note: You must have an XM tuner, an XM-compatible antenna, and a subscription to XM Radio to receive the satellite radio signal.
Installation Tips: When selecting a location for the antenna, make sure the site meets the following conditions:
- The selected site must have a conductive surface area (e.g. a metal roof or trunk lid) of at least 2-1/4 square feet and be 6 inches from the rear window molding. For convertibles with composite trunk lids, an aluminum foil "ground plane" of at least 2-1/4 square feet can be centered under the antenna location between the trunk lid and the interior lid liner. If neither of these conditions can be met, the Terk SR1 glass mount antenna (item 209SR1) may be more appropriate for your vehicle.
- Line of sight to satellites must not be blocked by any metal obstructions (e.g., crossbars from a roof rack).
- The highest possible point on the vehicle's roof that satisfies the above conditions and is as flat as possible should be used for antenna placement.
Replacement Adhesive Mounting Kit: If you need to re-mount the antenna, an "RK2" replacement adhesive mounting kit may be purchased directly from Terk. Terk may be contacted at 1-800-942-8375.
