And you'll get road-ready charging of your iPod or iPhone to boot.

One kit for all your multimedia needs

Audiovox's MediaBridge interface doesn't just give you Bluetooth connectivity for the factory radio in your Toyota, Scion, or Lexus — it offers a simple way to enjoy music from your iPod®, iPhone®, Android™ smartphone, USB flash drive, satellite radio tuner, or portable audio player. iPhone 4S and iPhone 5/5S/5C users also get full Siri® integration, so you can use your phone without taking your hands off the wheel. And you'll get road-ready charging of your iPod or iPhone to boot.

A wealth of connections

Here's how you can get hooked up through the MediaBridge:

  • USB input for iPod/iPhone, USB flash drive, or select Android smartphones
  • 3.5mm auxiliary input for portable music sources, such as a non-iPod device or portable CD player
  • connection for the optional SiriusXM SXV200 satelllite radio tuner using the Audiovox AACCSATCBL cable (both sold separately)  — you'll need a subscription to receive satellite radio broadcast

The MediaBridge's built-in Bluetooth technology is compatible with most hands-free communication and streaming audio applications, and Audiovox includes an external microphone so your callers can hear you clearly. An additional USB port allows for firmware updates, but does not enable an additional musical source.

Song info display and Music Announcer Technology

If you're listening via iPod/iPhone, USB connection, Bluetooth streaming, or satellite radio tuner, you'll see song, artist, album, and playlist information right on your radio's screen. You'll find it's easier than ever to locate the perfect tracks for your next road trip without having to look at your device. And for select Bluetooth streaming applications, you can have the MediaBridge announce the name of the current song and incoming caller ID information over your speakers, so you don't have to look at your phone to know what's happening.

Control through your factory radio or steering wheel buttons

Once you've got everything hooked up and your sources connected, you can take command of your tunes right through your radio or your car's steering wheel controls. With devices connected through USB or Bluetooth, you won't have to touch your device to change tracks or pull up playlists — it all works just like any other normal radio functions.

Enjoy your iPhone's music apps

If you're big into Pandora Internet radio or other music apps, you can enjoy them through the MediaBridge. Simply fire up Pandora on your device, connect it to the module, and enjoy the audio and text info (if supported by your radio). Other Internet radio apps, such as Livio, also work great through the MediaBridge, allowing you to see relevant details on your radio's display, and with a limited amount of control over the app through the remote, depending on the app.

Note: Your Toyota radio must have TEXT button to work with this adapter.

Sorry I bought it

2004 Lexus RX330
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

doesn't work as advertised, the one I got looked like it may have been open, the firmware date was 2012, you can't use it unless you are on CD1 only, if you want to use the radio, you can't answer the phone, and mine was installed by a local alarm car radio and remote starter pro, who does all the upgrades for the dealers in the area and has been in business for over 30 years

Pros: none

Cons: see above, save your money and upgrade your car radio. or your car

Audiovox Media Bridge for my 2008 Lexus RX350

John from Milford, CT on 4/8/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just purchased this Lexus and realized the SAT button didn't do anything so I didn't have my serious XM radio that I love. Of course, I called Crutchfield and with the help of their customer service rep, I was able to purchase this device and the serious XM module. I was able to install both devices in my glove box and am now enjoying my favorite jazz on Sirius XM right through the car stereo.

Pros: The sales rep was knowledgable and knew all the exact parts I would need. Had I tried to order the parts on my own it would've been an expensive disaster.

Cons: None

Audiovox MediaBridge Toyota Bluetooth®

2006 Toyota Avalon
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am enjoying my MediaBridge in my 2006 Toyota Avalon. It is a bit different than I read or understood. To get the device to charge your phone, you must be in USB mode, and then you can't listen to "ANY" music. I thought it charged "while" you listened to music. Other reviews were correct, it sound much better plugged into the data 3.5. Otherwise "some" songs sound as though they are in a tunnel. Bluetooth is great, hands free and caller hears a fair audio. I do love being able to use my Galaxy S4 to go wireless with Pandora or my downloaded stuff. It's not the same as a factory Bluetooth system by any shot, but it does pretty good.

Pros: Wireless Bluetooth for my downloaded music. I can listen to Pandora or other radio through my Android phone. Good to Fair Bluetooth Audio

Cons: USB won't play music and charge your phone. Bluetooth connection can sound thin and empty (some songs). Had to rely on Customer Support to get it properly connected once installed.

Just go with a plug in integration solution

2007 Toyota Avalon
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Really on the fence about this review, overall it works but not nearly as well as I had hoped, but I have iPod / iPhone integration for my 2007 Toyota Avalon with JBL + satnav. I would probably recommend this product for anyone in my situation because it's about the only way to get OE integration with flexibility for a variety of devices and inputs, but advise them not to expect much from it. So here are pluses and minuses as I see them from having used the product for a couple weeks now. The Installation is the big winner and the Bluetooth is the big loser, the Bluetooth audio is so bad it makes me want to claw my eardrums out. Since Bluetooth was the main reason I went this way instead of a $70 solution I feel like I wasted money. Words really cannot describe the horror waits to slaughter your eardrums when you stream audio via Bluetooth to the media bridge, but if you plug in via USB it is crystal clear.

Pros: Super Easy installation - the instructions were perfect (thanks to Crutchfield for their master sheet), the cables were long enough, had the right connectors and there was only one harness and the mic to hook up. Works with the steering wheel controls. Firmware update was super easy. Phone calls are clear and people on the other end don't even really notice you are in a. Setup was pretty easy.

Cons: Bluetooth audio quality is disgraceful. My phone connects via Bluetooth to my motorcycle helmet audio system and it is crystal clear there. If not for this I would have given 4 stars. The car has a large display on which to show info such as song title etc. The radio uses the whole display, but, the media bridge uses only about 7 or so characters show at a time and scrolls. It would have been nice if the factory installed microphone in the car could have served the media bridge instea

2005 Toyota 4Runner with JBL

Jeremy from Sparks, NV on 1/26/2014

2005 Toyota 4Runner
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I now have all my music and hands free calling with my factory JBL stereo. One word, Awesome. Works great with my iPhone 5 using the USB connection or pairing using Bluetooth. The Bluetooth automatically connects every time you start the car which is very nice for short trips, personally I think the sound is better using the USB input. Either way the JBL sounds great. Installation took about 2 hours and the crutchfield general instructions were great. Make you update the firmware before installing the unit and everything will work great. Highly recommend the product.

Pros: $400 less than a new stereo with all the adapters.

Cons: None

Works Well in 2006 Rx330 Without Nav or Sat

Rudy S. from Flemington, NJ on 12/27/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed this product in a 2006 Lexus RX330 with the factory in-dash CD changer and without navigation. Once I figured out how to navigate through the radio once it was installed it works very well. I installed it in my girlfirend's car, so I was bit nervous that it would be too complicated. However, once I setup her iPhone 4 to use it, everything works well. She can send and receive Bluetooth calls and stream Pandora. The only thing preventing me from rating it a "5" was the directions for setting up Bluetooth were not accurate and I even had Crutchfield tech support scratching their heads for nearly 30 minutes on the phone.

Pros: Maintains factory appearance and provides great sound quality. Having Bluetooth and iPod integration will be a huge asset when she decides to sell the vehicle. Easy to use once the setup is complete. It maintains the factory steering wheel controls.

Cons: The directions are written in a format that is way too complicated.
