Mount the Commander Touch anywhere, or go for a custom installation like this one.
With a full-color touchscreen and an impressive list of available features, the Commander Touch is a great way to add the wonders of satellite radio to your daily drive.
The Commander Touch connects to any receiver with an AUX input or an FM antenna connection. The tuner installs out of sight, and the touchscreen controller mounts just about anywhere – you can attach it to the dash or a vent clip using double-sided tape or an aftermarket mount (sold separately). But if you want a more permanent "built-in" look, you use the included flush mount for a smooth, custom installation (professional installation recommended).
Wherever you mount the Commander Touch, you'll be able to get more enjoyment than ever from your SiriusXM subscription. The full-color display gives you a brilliant view of album art, artist name, song title, channel logos and program information, and you can use the touchscreen to choose from the vast array of music, news, entertainment, and sports available on SiriusXM.
You'll have an impressive array of features to enhance your experience, too. With the Commander Touch, you can pause, rewind and replay live satellite radio programming from the screen, so you'll never miss a thing. Start songs from the beginning with TuneStart™, or use TuneMix™ to hear a mix of songs from your favorite channels. And every driver will appreciate helpful updates from the Traffic & Weather Now™ feature. Depending on your subscription package, you can also access SiriusXM Xtra Channels for even more great programming.
Note: The Commander Touch can be updated using a USB flash drive (sold separately) to add new features and capabilities as they become available.
Installation Note: Please identify your vehicle if you plan on using the included FM modulator to connect the Commander Touch to your car's radio.

i really liked this other than the tiny touchscreen.the thirty minute rewind feature was great.sometimes the buttons on the touch pad didn't work.i quit using this because the screen was so small i couldn't read it also the buttons were so close together that id hit two at a time.come out with a bigger touch screen and i will start using it again.
Pros: thirty minute rewind.extra channels.
Cons: tiny screen i couldn't read.buttons so close id hit two at a time.sometimes nothing would happen when id hit a button.make a larger screen optional and i will start using it again.
The radio constantly needs to be rebooted every other month otherwise it gets stuck. I have had this particular radio for about 1 year & I have had to go to to the local retailer about 4 or 5 times to have them reboot it because it basically gets stuck. We are traveling right now to my in-laws (about a 5 hr trip to Chattanooga) and of course no siruis xm for the trip.
If there was a 0 for this product, I'd give it. The radio itself is teeny touch. Unless you have the fingers of a child, the touching and swiping is a colossally frustrating pain. hitting the sweet spot is like a search for the holy grail! The person who put it in mounted the antenna on the dash, instructions clearly state on the roof, and it drops out constantly. The radio must be possessed since it randomly decides to change channels, even switching from page to page. I've been an XM customer since the beginning, but initiating the signal for this took 4 calls to Sirius CS. Next week I take the car back to have the radio re-installed, which means a week of drop outs, random switching stations, swiping and tapping and waiting for the signal to change. At this point, I'm almost tempted to return to terrestrial radio!! PS if you check Google reviews there are an inordinate amount of "inappropriate reviews" which leads me to believe more people hate this radio than love it.
Pros: none so far
Cons: teeny touch screen, to much touching and swiping, reception drops out, randomly changes channels, to much crap if all you want is music, customer service leaves a lot to be desired
This device was easy to install, but I had a hard time finding a good ground for the unit. The aux port had a too much noise playing through the speakers, so I used the FM adapter and it sounds great. I like the look of the oem stereo and I added siriusxm this works for me. The display is small and the touch screen response is a little slow.
Pros: Add to your existing oem head unit, 3 months free subscription from Siriusxm, and easy to remove if you get rid of your current vehicle.
Cons: The display is small and hard to read sometimes, the aux port doesn't work with some vehicle models, and the touch screen is a little slow.
This thing actually sucks. First, the actual touchscreen is so small that it's almost useless unless you have the tiniest of fingers. The icons are very hard to touch without accidentally touching more than one. Beyond that, navigation is slow and clunky. Not at all intuitive. What's worse is that I called Sirius tech support to help me with display settings and navigation and they don't even have a manual for it in the tech department. The foreign "technician" told me she would have to Google my question to find out how to help me. Sorry Sirius, but I can do that myself. Very disappointed with the device AND the lack of technical support. I'll never buy another.
Installed this to update a 2003 Cadillac. Installation was a breeze. Did it in less than 2 hours! Had enough room to install behind the ashtray. Out of sight out of mind.
Pros: Compact size will fit in nooks and crannies.
After a road trip with my wife in my new Cherokee, she had to have satellite radio. Ended up paying less after rebates, etc & installed it in her Miata. Very pleased with the sound, even through the FM adapter.
Pros: Install was straightforward & the unit works as advertised.
Cons: Menus are a bit small for 60 year old eyes, but it plays as well as factory radios.
Works Well Easy To Install
Awesome! so much better than the previous roadie Model I was using
I installed the SiriusXM Commander using the FM antenna interface, in my Porsche 987 with the Bose system. I took a great deal of time and careful caution. Installation took three hours. I mounted the touchscreen in between the factory system and the steering column. Aesthetically it is nondescript, and very convenient from the drivers seat. It works beautifully. The perfect solution for a nonsatellite equipped vehicle.
Pros: Cost effective solution Easy FM interface
Love it easy install works great
Pros: Easy install easy access
Love the commander touch it is perfect for those that didn't get seriusxm installed from the factory or are not able to install after market radios or for those that do not want to pay for all the extra data to use SiriusXM on there phones !
Pros: Can put any where !
Honestly, the commander touch is to radios what the original iPhone would be smart phones in 2016. It's incredibly slow to respond, the instructions are so / so. The menu system is not brilliant and you cannot enter channels manually, you have to scroll through the list - until you get stuck in a genre of music that you no doubt don't like, then have to call Sirius. Their support is very infuriating. The music signal is ok, but the slow to respond display and inconvenience really detract from the entire experience.
Pros: I got nothing...
Cons: it's so challenging to use as to actually discourage you from subscribing to satellite radio. Seriously, get a satellite ready radio head unit instead, it will be slightly more expensive up front but will save you hours of usage frustration in the long run.
Can't be without my Sirius. Got tired of the window mounts that continually failed. Now I have one mounted inside my center console.
Pros: Quick access to traffic and features with a single touch. Easy to access channels with a numeric entry touch screen.
Cons: slight lag in touch screen takes a bit to get used to
Great. I love my Sirius radio.
Pros: It is great
Cons: The store did not have the list of all the channels.
Great product little time consuming to install, well in a Beetle anyway. But well worth the time. Forgot to order radio removal tools called customer service and had them in no time at NO charge. Will definitely buy next stereo purchase from Crutchfield
The install into my 2015 Focus ST went as planned, I used the add a fuse to get power to the box and placed it on the passenger side tunnel under the carpet. The touch screen sits at the bottom of the dash at the storage location. It was a very clean install.
Pros: Easy install
Cons: Cons connecting power in the 2015 Focus took a long time to test and get the correct fuses.
Christmas gift for my husband. Shipped tight away and fast delivery. Took no time to install!
Gives you detailed step by step installation guide. Looks great with my aftermarket Pioneer AVHX-7500BT head unit. Nice full color display. Great convenient features.
Pros: High Tech, sleek and compact yet easy to read and use.
Cons: slight lag when swiping through the display screen or tapping the icons.
Installation of this unit is quick and easy. Instructions take you step by step. Can't mess it up. Works great. I'd highly recommend this product.
Pros: Small, clean looking unit. Easy Installation. Works perfectly.

I have to switch out aftermarket car stereo equipment from my company car every year. The last several years I have been installing and uninstalling everything from amps, touchscreen head unit and speakers/subs. Gets quite expensive of course to enjoy sound like this. Simplifying this year with an easy satellite radio add on that I can do in a quick install into a 2017 CRV. [ Jeremy Mar 12, 2017 ]

You'll need to connect all of the wires (12volt constant, 12 volt switched, Illumination & ground) properly for the unit to work, yes. I hope that helps. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5 [ Ryan Dec 21, 2016 ] Staff

No. This model specifically is designed as a more subtle installation where you only see the control panel so, it does not mount into a "dock" and cannot be removed like the other "Dock and Play" models. I hope that helps. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5 [ Ryan Nov 02, 2016 ] Staff
You could, yes. But, there would be more compact SXM units for doing that. This one has a LONG wire from the control head to the "something else" box. The real issue with portability is all the wire, in my opinion. But, yes, on paper, what you want to do will work. [ TONY Jul 16, 2016 ]

Yes the touch commander hooks up in line with your radio antenna and plays thru a FM radio channel I really like the one I bought works perfect with the stock radio in my wife's 2003 Mustang GT [ MARK May 23, 2016 ]
Yes this will work, just connect the Antenna adapter inline with your radio antenna and tune radio to the FM channel that is how i connected mine only i just left the car antenna unplugged cause after sat radio, regular radio stinks ggod luck. [ Bill May 23, 2016 ]
No . You can only playback SXM On Demand downloads on your smart phone. [ JOHN Jan 12, 2016 ]
Per the research we have on file for your '15 Civic SE you can use the FM Direct connection on the SiriusXM Commander Touch, but you would need this antenna adapter to connect the factory antenna into the FM Direct connector: http://www.crutchfield.com/app/product/item/default.aspx?I=12040HD11 And then you'd need this adapter to go from the FM Direct connection back to the factory radio in your Civic: http://www.crutchfield.com/app/product/item/default.aspx?I=12040HD21 My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=159 [ Larry Jan 15, 2016 ] Staff
