Our take on the MTX RTX4BT by Crutchfield's John Pollard
Concert level highs
Are you looking to play your music loud? If so, you'll want to check out MTX's Road Thunder Extreme speakers, which use PA system technology to bring concert sound levels to your car. If it's time to take your highs to the next level, MTX designed the RTX4BT 4" tweeter with the same compression-horn design found in most concert PA systems, so it'll play at high volumes for extended periods without breaking a sweat. And thanks to its aluminum cone and titanium diaphragm, this incredibly rugged tweeter can handle up to 200 watts RMS. Its 8-ohm impedance means you can wire up two to a single amplifier channel for maximum high-frequency intensity.
Note: This package contains one tweeter. You'll need an external amplifier to drive this tweeter properly an in-dash stereo won't have enough power.
It really is like a concert speaker in ur car

Crossover: A capacitor is soldered to the positive terminal of the tweeter as a first order high-pass crossover. The crossover point using the capacitor is approximately 5 kHz. Optimally, the capacitor should be removed and an electronic crossover used.

About 4'"x4" on the face.. About 3" deep . I don't have them any more. Cross them over around 4500 @ 12db. About 50 watts rms is it on these. [ AARON J Jan 16, 2015 ]
