Waterproof foam baffles from XTC fit behind speakers to keep them clean and dry. They compress easily to fit the installation, and form a mounting seal that can reduce panel vibration. Use these speaker baffles along with a Dynamat kit when you install your new speakers, and you'll enjoy improved sound and performance.

These baffles will protect your speakers. In many applications we recommend that you cut a hole in the bottom of the baffle, or remove the entire bottom of the baffle, to maintain good bass response while still protecting your speaker from dirt and water damage. Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

Door speakers hold up longer with these since they keep moisture off. Seem to keep speakers from blowing if you have the windows down a lot [ Jeremy  Apr 27, 2017 ]
A storm with high winds blew water inside my door, which then froze overnight. It appears that the ice damaged the connection to the speaker, because the speaker has been intermittent since. I'm hoping that the baffles will prevent this from happening again. [ Kaye Lorraine  Mar 17, 2017 ]

I have some 6x9's that I'm putting its the doors of my 1973 Chevy Suburban and want to protect them. [ Thomas  Mar 17, 2016 ]
Not only do they help with sound and rattle but the waterproofing is a great plus! They help save my 6x9's from all the air my subs move in my trunk! [ Robert  Mar 16, 2016 ]
The air my sub woofers are pushing in my trunk go directly to the back of my rear deck speakers which has caused my current speakers to crack and sound distorted. So I chose to purchase these to prevent this from happening to my new ones I have just ordered. Also better sound quality is always a plus. [ Sean  Mar 08, 2016 ]

I suppose they do their job. [ Bryan  Jan 28, 2016 ]
Speaker Baffles do 2 things: 1. reduce vibrations from the speaker flange to the car (metal on metal). 2. Improve bass and in my case I also cut out the very back of the baffle to reduce that speaker in a can sound by allowing the woofer air. Than I added insulation around the speaker till I got the sound just right, sort of creating a speaker box. I use these baffles every time I install speakers. [ Gene  Jan 02, 2016 ]
Makes for better sound reflection [ Jeremy  Dec 31, 2015 ]
No reason to distort your 6x9's with your subs. BUY BAFFELS [ Gram  Dec 17, 2015 ]
To fill in the gap between the new 6x9's and the rear deck in my 2004 Corolla. [ Kenneth  Jun 19, 2017 ]
These will help with the "door rattle" you often hear when cars drive around with the radio up loud. They also help you protect your speakers by covering them inside the door. I once had speakers go bad on me because the rainwater dripping down through the windowglass slot eventually caused the wiring to rust through. It won't happen with these on. [ Christine  Apr 10, 2017 ]
