Panamax M8-AV Works Great for Embroidery Machine

Anne from Rhinelander, WI on 8/23/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

My new embroidery machine required a surge protector with a step up/step down transformer. This unit will protect against line surges and low voltage. Crutchfield Representative was very helpful, and the price was good. Many sewing/embroidery machines are now computerized and the cost can be substantial. The Panamax was the only protector that fit my needs. I also checked with APC and they do not have a unit like this available.

Pros: Protection against line surges and low voltage. Easy installation. Relatively small footprint, fits on top of my sewing table. Easy access to connections.

Cons: none

First one defective

Susan from Taos, NM on 7/6/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Worked for a day, and then none of the unit's outlets would power anything despite the green indicator lights showing that supposedly all was fine. Must be a defective unit. I am going to try a replacement as the features on this unit are great (if it works).

As far as I know and can tell no surge protector will effect your 4k capabilities since all 4k devices have the 4k capable items built into the device it self. In fact with my own research it seems a surge protector with a filter will more than likely make your 4k tv look even better. I have no idea why Crutchfield wouldn't have answered this question for you as it seems pretty simple but by not doing so you either might not order one from a them or even worse might not order this I and a 4k tv. [ Chris  Jul 06, 2017 ]
I do not know what is meant compliant....I just ordered by the product description. So far, so good - although I do not believe we have had an surge through the line. [ SHARON  Jun 06, 2016 ]
