A Smart TV with Smart Content

You'll loads of movies and TV shows from reliable sources like Netflix® and Hulu Plus™, along with late-breaking scores from ESPN ScoreCenter, and more. And Samsung upgraded their AllShare™ networking feature so you can access your content from the cloud and even control other compatible devices.

The right connections to be your digital entertainment hub

The two most essential connections for today's video sources and digital devices are HDMI and USB. High-definition components like cable and satellite TV receivers look and sound their best via HDMI, and so do a growing number of digital cameras and camcorders. And the USB ports let you plug in a wide array of devices — like that thumb drive with your favorite photos and music.

Love this Smart TV

Mdouglas156 from Indianapolis, IN on 5/3/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love this tv. It's sort of like a computer with all the apps and the ability to connect to wifi signal. Because I am such an junkie being able to link the tv up with my Amazon account is an added bonus. The screen is big enough for bedroom viewing. I really don't have any negatives about the tv.

Pros: Everything

Cons: None at this time.

Best TV I've ever had

Great picture. Terrific sound.

Pros: Lightweight

Cons: Base if very hard to assemble. Even after it's assembled, TV is a little wobbly. Doesn't swivel.

Great replacement for my 27" tube TV

JohnS from Evansville, WI on 4/8/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced a 27' tube TV with the 32" samsung. It's a nice fit in TV cabinet in my bedroom.

Pros: Right size replacement for 27" TV

Cons: The sound is not best sitting in the cabinet. I'm currently looking at 3 speaker systems.

Great picture and relatively easy set up for the tech savvy. Essentially a 32" tablet in many ways but with better display.

Pros: Picture quality

Cons: Some folks might have issues with software updates and network set up if they are tech neophytes.

Great TV in a smaller, slimer box

Retired Geek from North Shore, NY on 3/6/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a very versatile TV. Excellent picture. Allows us to tie into the household wireless and thereby get features off the computer, which we were missing by not not feeding the TW cable beast. It is hooked up to a home-brew inside antenna which delivers over the air reception well due to our being at a higher elevation. In these days of weaker tuners, this is a positive for those of us in rural areas. Closed captioning service is mostly large enough to be seen without being on top of the set. One disappointment: it doesn't seem to show photo slides as well as it might. In the month that we have had the set, it has gradually been tweaked and it's features explored and taken advantage of. Yet the controller allows for 'simple' viewing of major channels.. It came set up for more recent apps than the ones mentioned in the description such as Amazon. We needed a smaller size but didn't want to miss out on updated features. Thanks to Crutchfield for in depth details and other reviewers for comments which helped in making this decision. ********************** Also thumbs up for the UPS delivery guy who carried the set over 200' of snowed in lawn, so it wasn't left by the wet garage door area on a snowy day.

Best T.V. there is!!!

Richard D/ from Oneida Castle, NY on 2/24/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love everything there is about the Samsung 32" Smart TV. I needed the Wi-Fi in order to connect to my DISH network. The 2 were easy to connect. I really love the clarity of the 1080dpi when most 32" TV's are 720dpi. The Smart TV technology is the best there is to watch TV and the internet. I am glad I got my TV when I did before the price increased. I ordered late Tuesday night and was delivered on Friday. Fabulous service!!!! Will definitely use Crutchfield again.

Best In Class

JB from New Jersey on 1/22/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this TV during the Black Friday 2012 sale, and I am extremely pleased with the purchase. This is one of the new LED "full array" sets, which mean that lighting will be more uniform over the picture than with the "edge lit" sets still common today. The bad news is that the set is a bit deeper than the very thin edge lit LED TVs available (not that it really makes a difference to me); the good news is that the 32EH5300 has outstanding image quality with HD material. This TV also does a surprisingly good job with SD channels from my Dish Network satellite receiver. The only slight shortcoming is the sound, which is OK considering the size of the TV but not outstanding - but for a bedroom set it does the job. The set has 3 HDMI inputs (which IMHO is the minimum you should get on any set) and a good set of picture adjustments to tweak the picture to your liking. And of course it comes with the Samsung Smart TV apps, which include a web browser, YouiTube, Netflix, HBO Go, and many others that I haven't had a chance to check out yet. Great set, yes more expensive than some of the low end TVs sold at discount and big box stores, but to me well worth it.

Pros: Excellent picture quality on HD material Surprisingly good picture quality on SD 3 HDMI inputs Rich set of Smart TV apps

Cons: Slightly prefer a square base Sound quality merely OK

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice picture. It's still a little dark. I guess I have to play around with the Brightness setting. I still have to use my TV remote and my cable service (AT&T) remote to make the TV function. I hope I can resolve this soon. Otherwise, I love the TV.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This was my first Samsung. It has a really nice picture and seems easy to use. I went out of town right after installing so can't say much more

Pros: Good Picture Good Sound I would buy again

Cons: Setting up cable box signal was not easy. I had to use antenna instead of dig. cable. Maybe that was me, but should just a little more clear on set.

Great Deal

sb26 from Medford NJ on 12/13/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Although we have not opened this set yet because it is a Christmas present, the Cyber-Monday deal was fantastic. Saved $100 over the retail stores. We have three other Samsung TVs and the last one we purchased was the 46 inch Smart TV. We are very happy with that TV which is why we chose this one for gift giving. The no tax and free shipping made it a no-brainer. It was delivered in two days, too. WOW!

Pros: Beautiful sharp picture. Wifi. Apps. Low profile frame. Good sound. Lightweight and easy to mount.

Cons: Non that we have found.

First flat screen TV

Jamie from Charlottesville, VA on 12/12/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We are enjoying both the larger screen and the smaller footprint. Having an internet-enabled TV is very cool. Already listening to Pandora radio and watching YouTube and Netflix on the larger screen. Now we get to see things that were cut off on our 21" Panasonic, like the ribbon news feed.

Pros: Internet-ready, apps like Pandora and YouTube

Cons: Need to have a keyboard to make searching easier and to use the internet browser more easily.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After careful review of all the sets Samsung had to offer I decided on this one based on certain criteria; 1080p, refresh rate, and the fact that it was a smart TV. I purchased this for my bedroom as a starting point since I wanted to see if I liked the Samsung's since I will be purchasing a larger unit for my living room. It did not disappoint. It's a beautiful set. Clarity. Sharpness. Color. Works best with an HD signal of course. Really loving this set and glad that I got it because now I see it has been discontinued!! If you can get it somewhere, do it!

Pros: Ease of set up; crystal clear; pixels; sharpenss; color; brightness; wi-fi ready; smart hub

Cons: None that I see.

1080P-HDTV with WI-FI

DDD-The Road Warrior from Central Ohio-Blacklick (Columbus Area) on 10/28/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I Purchased this WI-FI Ready 1080P-HDTV, a little over a Month Ago & Still Haven't Utilized All It's Features and/or Capabilities, to Thier Fullest Extent (Very Easy Set-Up w/Minor Adjustments, So Far). I'm Very Pleased with My Total Investment & Don't Believe, that I'll Need to Replace this Technology, for a Very Long Time. This is the Main TV in the Living Room of a 2 Bedroom Apt (1000 Sq. Ft.). I Think it's the Perfect Size to Easily Relocate, when Changing my Furniture or it's Arrangement. I Did Alot of Research, for Pricing/Capabilities/Available Options and/or Accessories, Including talking with Many Family Members/Friends & Others, before settling on this unit. Many have Suggested a Larger Screen Size (40+), for a Few Extra $$$, but I'm in an Apt. & Don't have that much available "Extra" space. I've had Pretty Good Luck & have been Very Happy with Many Other SamSung Products (Good Quality vs. Value), which I've Owned for Yrs. I'm Expecting No Different, with this New Purchase.

Pros: Latest & Greatest Technology @ the Time vs. Cost/Quality/Reliability & My Personal History, with Other SamSung Products, Over the Yrs. I've Also Delt with Crutchfield, for Many Years (Since the Early to Mid 80's), although this was my 1st Purchase thru them, in quit a Few Yrs.

Cons: I Don't have Any Extra $$$, to Purchase that Wall Mount Kit/Unit (4 Future Use) & Other Possible "Sterio Options-Home Theater/Sound Bars". I Can't Think of Any Others @ this time!

Fantastic HDTV

El Gee from Wales, WI on 9/12/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've always considered Samsung HDTV's as having a superior (to my eye, anyway) picture. This unit was purchased for out bedroom to replace a 20 inch Samsung monitor/HDTV. My requirements were simple. have at least a 32 inches screen with outstanding color and clarity , have Wi-Fi connectivity and be energy efficient. The price finally dropped to within my price range.

Pros: Sharp detail and contrast. Outstanding color. $6 annual energy consumption.

Cons: None that I can see. The remote isn't as user friendly as other brands my wife has used.

Another Samsung for the family

Rod - TX from TX on 8/29/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this model in July, and have enjoyed it enough that I bought another one for a family member.

Pros: Quality, simplicity, Crutchfield price and service.

Cons: None that i have found yet, other than the factory picture settings needed some adjustment. The deep profile does not matter to my application, but anyone mounting on a wall may want to consider this.

A very good deal on a great and versatile HDTV

Albert from Brevard, NC on 8/26/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got this as a second TV and wanted built-in Wi-Fi. The size (32") makes it relatively easy to move around to other rooms. The set-up and performance was great. Very intuitive menu and strong Wi-Fi reception. The picture is good and the 60-hertz refresh is enhanced to 120 hertz somehow. At any rate, it does fine with sports. A great buy for less tha $500 and of course delivered flawlessly by Crutchfield.

Pros: Good picture built-in Wi-Fi with good reception Easy set-up Light and easy to move Good sound Easy to navigate Internet features No screen glare/reflections

Cons: None

BudF from Dayton, Oh on 8/3/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The TV is exactly what we wanted. Ordered on a Tuesday and delivered Thursday afternoon. Easy set-up. Picture quality excellent. The TV sound is better than average for a flat screen, however I use an external sound system for improved sound quality. Overall, am very pleased with this purchase. Crutchfield lives up to their reputation. Highly recommend. I did use the settings noted in a previous review for initial viewing and then further refined those for our individual preferences.

Pros: Samsung 32" screen ideal for smaller room. Colors vivid and true to life. Very natural. Easy to follow set up instructions. NO surprises whatsoever and no problems encountered.

Cons: Not a single negative noted. Had anticipated possible problem with the glossy screen, since this set is placed in a well area. This is not an issue.

Great TV! Wi-Fi works great. Returned a VIZIO FOR THE 32" Samsung. No looking back. Bought this one for the bedroom, considering another for the Florida Room. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Pros: Great picture. Very good sound. Competitive pricing @ $500.

Cons: Makes me want another.

Very Pleased

Scott from Auburn NH on 7/24/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall very pleased with this product at first I was worried as the box was crushed and ripped but after opening nothing was wrong. Setup was very simple my only complaint is the stand is a little flimsy. The picture quality is amazing and the size is just right not too big or too small. I am also very impressed with the sound quality its not home theater quality by any means but for a small room it sounds great. I am pleased with the smart TV feature but I hope in the future some of the apps will be better there doesn't seem to be a very large selection and what the apps do seem very limited but its nice to see the weather and Pandora radio on the TV is very handy. In the end very pleased with the product glad I chose Samsung better than any of the other TV's I saw for price and picture.

Pros: Great bright crisp picture Relatively good sound Outer case is visually pleasing

Cons: Profile is much deeper than expected for a new LED TV Stand is flimsy

Samsung UN32EH5300 32" 1080p LED-LCD HDTV with Wi-Fi®

George F. from Columbus, NC on 7/18/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This digital TV produces an outstanding picture and sound. It is the only set that I know that has analog sound output (stereo) in addition to the SPDIF digital sound output. This was important to me to be able to use his output for my wireless headphone system as well as connect to my home stereo system without needing a digital -to-analog converter for the sound system. The built in WiFi capabilities made Internet connection effortless using my home WiFi router. In this era of increasing cable service costs, Summer reruns and limited programming for educated senior adults, the ready availability of Internet content is most welcome. The remote control and the 'Menu" system are relatively easy to learn and use. The large number of options and choices make this a very important factor in the enjoyment of the this TV. The routine operation of the TV is easy for even the technically challenged user.while providing a rich set of options to make the set perform at its best for the technically advanced user. This set is only 29 inches wide overall, less than any other 32 inch set that I could find. It fit into my existing entertainment center cabinet easily. Any other set would have required the removal of the cabinet external doors.

Pros: The Crutchfield customer service is excellent. The TV arrived Monday afternoon with the LCD display screen cracked during shipment. Customer service was notified about 7:00 pm and the replacement TV was received Thursday morning. I packed up the broken set and it was picked up and returned by the same delivery truck.

Cons: None

This is one of the best tvs I've ever bought. The picture and sound quality is great. I was happy to find it had built in wireless networking capability for Netflix and other apps. Samsung 32 inch Smart TV

Willie from Williamsburg VA on 5/21/2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great, clear, crisp picture, realistic colors, remote easily navigated for channel access, sound reasonable, and a quantum leap over my old analog retired TV. TV was easily integrated into my home theater set up for both the DVD player, and VHS player and works seamlessly. I am happy with the purchase and the product.

Pros: See above

Cons: Mostly my own un-doing as I have not availed myself of the smart TV technology primarily because I do not know how to access the different applications. I use Facebook, and Skype on my computer which has a microphone and camera but do not see how to utilize the applications on the Smart TV. I have been reluctant to download movies from I Tunes or Netflix for fear of inadequate bandwith in transmission.

Direct-Lit LED Technology:  Direct-Lit LED backlight technology bridges the gap between lower-cost CCFL (fluorescent) LCD TVs and newer edge-lit LED-LCD TVs. Samsung's Direct-Lit LED-LCD televisions feature LEDs positioned all the way across the LCD panel's back plane (instead of along the side). Unlike "Full-Array" backlight LED-LCD televisions that also feature LEDs positioned along the LCD panel's back plane, the Direct-Lit LED technology uses fewer LEDs and do not offer local dimming. Since there are fewer LEDs, the LCD panel's back plane must be moved farther away from the screen to provide adequate light coverage across the LCD panel, making the TV much deeper than an edge-lit LED-LCD television. Direct-Lit LED backlight technology offers a better picture and is more energy efficient than previous CCFL (fluorescent) LCD televisions, though it requires a much larger cabinet design than newer edge-lit LED-LCD TVs.

Clear Motion Rate 120: Clear Motion Rate (CMR) is Samsung's more comprehensive and accurate measure for how well the LED-LCD TV can display fast-moving images. Previously, motion clarity was expressed simply by the refresh rate, measured in Hz. CMR, however, takes into account all three factors that contribute to motion clarity: panel refresh rate (60Hz), image processor speed and backlight technology. CMR is measured by determining the thinnest line a TV can display in a moving image. The thinner the line, the higher the CMR rating, and the clearer the picture you'll enjoy on the screen.

LED Motion Plus: This function removes drag from fast scenes with a lot of movement to provide a clear picture.

Motion Lighting: The TV automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen in response to the brightness of the room. In bright light, the screen brightens. In dim light, the screen dims.

Wide Color Enhancer Plus: Wide Color Enhancer Plus allows you to see picture color the way the director originally intended. Witness the entire RGB spectrum brought to life on your screen to bring you exceptionally vibrant, yet natural-looking images faithful to the director's original intent.

3,500,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio: The LED-LCD TV delivers a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 3,500,000:1; which provides stunning colors and deep black, so your picture's details don't get lost in the shadows.

HDTV Tuner: The TV has built-in over-the-air HDTV (ATSC) and Digital Cable (QAM) tuners, so you don't need a separate set-top box to receive and decode over-the-air HDTV/SDTV or unencrypted Digital Cable signals.

1080p Resolution: The LED-LCD television displays all inputs at a resolution of 1080p (1920 x 1080). The television's HDMI and component video inputs will accept 1080p (24/60Hz), 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i video signals.

  • HDMI (v.1.3): The Samsung LED-LCD TV features three HDMI 1.3 inputs. In addition, any HDMI input can be used to connect a PC to this TV.
  • Component Video: The Samsung LED-LCD TV features a single component video input. The TV's component video input can also be used as a composite video input (480i only).

Screen Sizes: You can choose one of the following screen sizes.

  • 16:9: Sets the picture to 16:9 wide mode.
  • Zoom 1: Vertically enlarges the size of the picture and allows you to move the enlarged picture using the arrows on the remote.
  • Zoom 2: Vertically enlarges the size of the picture more than Zoom 1 and allows you to move the enlarged picture using the arrows on the remote.
  • Wide Fit: Proportionally enlarges the picture to fit the entire screen without changing the aspect ratio.
  • 4:3: Sets the picture to 4:3 normal mode with pillars on the left and right of the screen.
  • Screen Fit: See the full image with no resizing when HDMI (720p/1080i/180p) or Component (1080i/1080p) signals are inputted
  • Smart View 1/2: Reduces the 16:9 picture by 50% (1) or 25% (2).

Note: Screen Size settings can be stored for each external device you have connected to an input of the TV.

Picture Control: You can make the following adjustments for an optimum picture.

  • Picture Modes: Picture Modes apply preset adjustments to the picture.
    • Standard: suitable for a normal environment
    • Dynamic: brightens screen; suitable for a bright room
    • Natural: softens pictures; suitable for reducing eye strain
    • Movie: darkens screen; suitable for watching movies
    • Entertain: sharpens picture; suitable for gaming
  • Manual Picture Settings: The TV has several options for manually adjusting the picture quality.
    • Backlight: adjusts the brightness of the LED backlight
    • Contrast: adjusts the contrast level of the picture
    • Brightness: adjusts the brightness level of the picture
    • Sharpness: adjusts the edge definition of the picture
    • Color: adjusts the color saturation of the picture
    • Tint (G/R): adjusts the color tint of the picture
  • Advanced Picture Settings: The TV also offers more advanced picture adjustments for fine tuning.
    • Black Tone: adjusts the black level on the screen to adjust the screen depth
    • Dynamic Contrast: adjusts the screen contrast so that the optimal contrast is provided
    • Gamma: adjusts the primary color (red, green, blue) intensity
    • RGB Only Mode: displays the Red, Green, and Blue color for making find adjustments to the hue and saturation
    • Color Space: adjusts the range of colors available to create the image (Auto/Native)
    • Color Tone: adjusts the overall color tone of the televisions using one of four presets: Cool, Normal, Warm 1, Warm 2
    • Flesh Tone: emphasize the pink flesh tone in a picture
