Item # 30532H5203 | MFR # 32H5203

These days, most 32" TVs play the role of secondary TV placed in a bedroom, kitchen or den. Samsung's UN32H5203 delivers a crisp, detailed picture that might give your main TV a run for its money. It has an LED backlight that combines snappy picture contrast with miserly power usage. The thin black bezel framing the screen gives this set an elegant, classy look.
While some 32" Smart TVs aren't really all that smart, Samsung's UN32H5203 gives you fun ways to enjoy your favorite shows, movies, games and more, on the web and elsewhere. You'll find loads of movies and TV shows from reliable sources like Hulu Plus™, and more. A screen mirroring feature lets you wirelessly send whatever's on the screen of your compatible smartphone, tablet or computer, to this TV screen.
Average Customer Review(s):
Nice picture quality. Easy set up.
Pros: Very good tv for the price.
Cons: None so far.
Can't beat it for the money. I've been buying Samsungs of various sizes and found them to have good features at a fair price. And Crutchfield is the best. They know their stuff and are always there to help. Overall a very good value.
Pros: Great picture
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my brother, who still had a CRT TV. He loves it, and the built-in WiFi. I won't buy anything but a Samsung, and I won't buy my gear from anywhere except Crutchfield. They sent me a hand-written thank you card for the purchase. Who does that? Incredible!
Very nice TV for the price! Easy to set up. Nice picture with a few minor adjustments from the standard factory settings. Smart features are a bit slow.
Pros: Great price for a 1080 LED Smart TV!
Cons: Smart features are a bit slow.
Good picture. Good TV for a bedroom or smaller room for a good price.
Great smart tv, really made it nice in our workout room
Pros: Smart, light weight, easy for one person to handle
Cons: Smart feature loads slightly slow
Gave this as a Christmas gift. It shipped quickly. It was easy set up. Great tv for the price. No regrets. I love Crutchfield!
Really happy with my purchase. Great picture and sound quality, and easy to set up. It syncs with the iPad with no trouble. No complaints, and that's saying something from this household!
Pros: Great picture quality; great sound, easy set-up, works with Amazon Fire stick and iPad mini
This was a gift for a granddaughter. Setup couldn't be easier. Picture quality and color from good source material are exceptional at this price. Sound quality is ok. We don't buy these for their ability for wow us with their tiny speakers.
Pros: Simple to use. Fairly straight forward remote. Exceptional picture quality. Connectivity friendly.
Cons: So far, so good.
TV has an excellent picture and was easy to set up.
Pros: picture quality, and a great price with free shipping.
Cons: none so far
Very good 32"
Pros: 1080p, Smart tv with built in wifi
Cons: None so far
My godson was getting a new XBox One for Christmas from his parents so it only made sense to get him his own television for his room. This is about as large as is needed in a moderately sized bedroom and fits perfectly on top of a chest of drawers. I've got a similar Samsung in my home office and felt this was a cost-effective and quality option for a young teen's gaming needs. Very easy setup with reasonable customization options. Audio isn't the world's best but few flatscreens excel in this area. Overall a very good purchase ... prompt shipping from Crutchfield (as always) and at a price point below Amazon and other online retailers.
Pros: Clarity of Picture, contrast, and ease-of-setup. Built-in WiFi is a nice perk.
Cons: Remote is a bit basic but that's to be expected with an entry-level television. Speakers lack depth of sound but that's par for the course for flatscreen televisions.
Very nice 32" smart television. Clean lines, easy to setup and enjoy. Ordered and received within a few days. Crutchfield is hands-down the best. Customer service really matters.
Pros: Crisp clear picture. Easy setup. Nice remote.
Cons: None so far.
you can't go wrong with Samsung.
Pros: this is my second Samsung and I loveit
Cons: no cons
I love this TV and I got fast free shipping plus it was the best deal at the time!
Pros: Fast, free shipping, great prices
Cons: Honestly, none.
The feature that adjusts the screen brightness to room conditions seems too extreme. The TV was placed in our bedroom. When the lights are turned off, the screen gets too dark.
Really easy to setup. Just a bit slow response time on the remote, but I'm spoiled! Great picture on the wireless. I was pleasantly surprised.
Pros: Light weight, great picture, good sound for a TV. Streaming works great!
Cons: None yet...
Great product at a reasonable price
Pros: Light weight and loaded with features
TV has many great features. It was very easy to set up with good instructions.
Pros: Setup was easy.
Very Smart TV
Great tv at great price
Picture is great. Features are great. Price was great. Don't use many of the features but may explore more. Sound works well through my receiver.
Pros: This is a great 32 inch TV. Light weight, easy to mount on wall, picture quality and features are all I need and everything works great so far.
Cons: The manual power button (joystick) is a 3 step process. Wish it had a simpler on off button for when Im walking out the door.
Good TV for the money, as advertised. No surprises
Pros: Easy set up and easy to use
Cons: None with the TV. Only con is the way it was promoted, I purchased it as "scratch & Dent" and found it to be more of a "used" set. Multiple scratches, should have been advertised as used.
Great TV at a great price. It is smarter than I am but Crutchfield has an excellent support staff.
Pros: Excellent picture, easy to navigate once you learn how.
Cons: does not swivel.
I took it out of the box and hooked it up with no problems
Pros: I'm enjoying my TV much more now
Cons: Non so far
Most times it's not about the product..but rather the service and support...u guys r the best!!!!
Pros: Love the capability for the price!
Cons: Could use a sound bar...
The TV was easy to set up, and fairly straightforward to operate. I did need to call Samsung to get the ability to download apps from the TV, but was able to get someone to help me right away and they fixed the problem. The SmartTV features take a minute or two to load, which can be annoying, but overall I am happy with the purchase.
Pros: Ease of use, picture quality, WIFI connectivity, price
Cons: Slow startup, needed to call for help to download apps
Worst audio system! I had to purchase an additional audio surround system! Don't buy it
Pros: 32" Smart price with a $50.00 'sale' price makes for a good price
Cons: Poor definition / over developed remote with features most people will never learn & use. Keep It Simple! Sound system is terrible
Purchased this for our bedroom and its a very sharp looking TV for the price! Being a smart TV with 1080p makes a huge difference in clarity, and having WiFi and a built in network port makes hooking this up simple and convenient. If you have any trouble with your WiFi disconnecting (I have not yet) then you can run a network cable to the TVs location and that will solve any disconnect issues. I never really thought we would use the features of a "smart" TV but having this option to check the weather or watch youtube videos without a computer attached is really nice. I would definitely buy this again, and would not consider 720p after seeing the clarity of this unit.
Pros: 1080p, smart TV, WiFi and wired networking options.
Cons: Larger TV than I expected (depth wise). If you plan on wall mounting and want something really thin this may not be the best option for you. But as far as features go, you can't go wrong for the price!
Great smart TV for the money. Purchased the 32" version of the 5203 for in front of the treadmill. Other than a Blu-ray, it gets no other external content. Great picture and perfect amount of smart functionality.
Pros: - Great quality picture for the money! - A simple but efficient interface. Better than most. - Plenty of smart TV apps and content. - Has an IR blaster to control my Sony Blu-rayplayer.
Cons: - No way of seeing from the TV the type of signal it is receiving from an HDMI port. - Wish the remote was backlit. - Wish the Blu-ray'S disc menu was easier to access (ie. Menu button on the remote worked to control the Blu-ray player).
Probably the best 32" TV I've owned, This is clear Bright, Smart and best of all it will connect to a home Media Server if it is DLNA enabled. WiFi connectivity works great in my home! We are able to see all my home video collection has no problem reading MKV, AVI and any other format you throw at it. And as always with anything that I buy from Crutchfield the customer service is always on target, the box arrived very well protected.
Pros: a wonderful experience from ordering to installation, if you need a 32" TV this is it!
very out standing and vivid
Pros: very outstanding Monitor I am using the TV for a monitor for my computer
Cons: cannot get it to start or shut off when I turnoff the computer or start it up
This television has an excellent picture. It is exactly the right size for my bedroom. My blu-ray videos look beautiful. What more can you ask?

LED Direct-Lit: Direct-Lit LED backlight technology bridges the gap between lower-cost CCFL (fluorescent) LCD TVs and newer edge-lit LED-LCD TVs. Samsung's Direct-Lit LED-LCD televisions feature LEDs positioned all the way across the LCD panel's back plane (instead of along the side). Unlike "Full-Array" backlight LED-LCD televisions that also feature LEDs positioned along the LCD panel's back plane, the Direct-Lit LED technology uses fewer LEDs and do not offer local dimming. Since there are fewer LEDs, the LCD panel's back plane must be moved farther away from the screen to provide adequate light coverage across the LCD panel, making the TV much deeper than an edge-lit LED-LCD television. Direct-Lit LED backlight technology offers a better picture and is more energy efficient than previous CCFL (fluorescent) LCD televisions, though it requires a much larger cabinet design than newer edge-lit LED-LCD TVs.
Clear Motion Rate 120: Clear Motion Rate (CMR) is Samsung's more comprehensive and accurate measure for how well the LED-LCD TV can display fast-moving images. Previously, motion clarity was expressed simply by the refresh rate, measured in Hz. CMR, however, takes into account all three factors that contribute to motion clarity: panel refresh rate (60Hz), image processor speed and backlight technology. CMR is measured by determining the thinnest line a TV can display in a moving image. The thinner the line, the higher the CMR rating, and the clearer the picture you'll enjoy on the screen.
Wide Color Enhancer Plus + Motion Lighting: With Wide Color Enhancer Plus, you'll witness a wider spectrum of colors on the TV screen, just like the director intended. You'll enjoy enriched colors while watching your favorite movies, and shows, even if it's older, non-HD content. The TV automatically adjust the brightness of the screen in response to the brightness of the room. In bright light, the screen brightens. In dim light, the screen dims.
1080p Resolution: The LED-LCD television displays all inputs at a resolution of 1080p (1920 x 1080). The television's HDMI and component video inputs will accept 1080p (24/60Hz), 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i video signals.
Note: The TV has built-in over-the-air HDTV (ATSC) and Digital Cable (QAM) tuners with an RF-coaxial input, so you don't need a separate set-top box to receive and decode over-the-air HDTV/SDTV or unencrypted Digital Cable signals.
Picture Control: You can make the following adjustments for an optimum picture.
Note: You can adjust and store Picture Settings for each external device connected to the TV or apply the settings to all inputs and sources.
PIP (Picture-in-Picture): You can watch the TV's tuner and one external video source (component/HDMI) simultaneously). The component/HDMI source will be displayed as the main picture, while the TV channel will be displayed in a sub-screen, while which can be moved to each corner of the television's screen. You can switch the audio between the main screen and sub-screen.
DTS Premium Sound: The Samsung LED-LCD TV employs DTS Studio Sound processing with DTS TruSurround and DTS TruDialog which will decode DTS-encoded content, such as TV programming, Blu-ray movies, and streaming media, as well as processes stereo content to deliver an optimized virtual surround sound experience with enhanced bass response, clear dialog, and consistent volume levels through the TV speakers.
Note: The speakers of this TV provide different sound images according to how you position the television. You can select between "Wall-Mount" or "Stand" to provide the best sound quality based on the television's placement.
5-Band EQ + Sound Modes: You can manually adjusts the TV's built-in 5-band EQ (100 Hz, 300 Hz, 1 kHz, 3 kHz, and 10 kHz) for a more customized sound; or simply choose from the following Preset Sound Modes:
Audio Settings: The Samsung TV offers a variety of audio adjustments to meet your listening needs.

You can setup a wired network connection automatically or manually. You can setup the wireless network connection using these four methods; Automatic, Manual, WPS (PBC), or WPS (PIN). The TV's built-in WiFi supports IEEE 802.11A/B/G/N wireless LAN networks and WEP (open/shared), WPA-PSK (TKIP/AES), or WPA2-PSK network security.
Note: Samsung recommends a network speed of 10Mbps or above.
WiFi Direct: When using WiFi Direct, you can connect directly with other devices without using a wireless router. You'll be able to wirelessly transfer personal content (such as photos & videos) to the Samsung LED-LCD TV without connecting to your home network. WiFi Direct completely bypasses your WiFi access point/router, so it's easy to set up. Streaming of copy-protected content and other certain formats are not supported.
Apps: Once you have connected the Samsung TV to your home network, you gain access to online apps. You can enjoy a variety of content from various downloaded applications; such as videos, music, photos, games, and news. Jeremy, Speakers are o.k. this is a bedroom tv for us, so it isn't being used very much and quietly mostly. Bob [ BOB Nov 27, 2014 ]
Speakers are marginal, both in volume and quality, so I bought a soundbar. But in all fairness, I mounted the TV in front of a somewhat noisy treadmill which easily drowned out the TV sound. Also, I may have lost some volume/quality due to the fact that the speakers are on the bottom of the TV which itself was mounted too high above a surface that could reflect the sound. [ Thomas M. Nov 26, 2014 ]
I run the tv through a vintage stereo. Compared to that, the tv speakers sound very weak. Don't expect too much. Maybe ok for a garage but no bass. [ Erich Nov 26, 2014 ]
Best I can tell the sound is what you would expect from a TV in this price range. I bought this TV for a new screened in porch so it is outside but protected from the weather. I don't have anything negative to say concerning the TV picture or sound quality. [ Paul Nov 26, 2014 ]
The sound quality is decent at lower volumes. Fine for a garage tv I would guess. Problem is the volume. I have mine in front of a treadmill and have trouble hearing quieter scenes of movies even with the volume all the way up. I'll be getting a sound bar for that reason. [ Peter Nov 25, 2014 ]
Sound is fine... No soundbar needed...I have 2 of them.. [ JAMES P Nov 25, 2014 ]
The sound is decent enough. It's not used for the main room so I have no complaints. I'm also not using a sound bar. [ Judie Nov 25, 2014 ]
donot know [ JIM Sep 21, 2014 ]
Using the optical audio out, the TV speakers are still functional and their volume is controlled by the TV remote. I use another remote to control the external speakers, and keep the TV volume at 0. Sorry I can't comment about the analog audio port. [ Thomas M. Sep 21, 2014 ]
I don't know as I have only used the internal speakers. [ Paul Sep 21, 2014 ]
