Parrot's SK4000 Bluetooth kit for motorcycles keeps you in touch while you enjoy your ride. Talk through the included microphone and listen with the built-in speaker, while leaving your phone safely in your bag or pocket.

You can attach the microphone and speaker easily to virtually any helmet, and you can set up the wireless system without running any cables. You control the SK4000 with a combination of voice commands and a wireless remote control you clip onto the handlebars, so it's easy to keep your attention on the road.

Parrot's experience with Bluetooth ensures the best possible performance, audio quality, and convenience. Noise reduction and echo cancellation circuitry ensure crisp sound quality when using your phone. Headset volume adjusts automatically to external noise levels, so you don't have to make changes as you speed up or slow down. The phone book features voice recognition and speech-synthesized names so you can make a call or scroll through your contacts without having to look at the phone.

The SK4000 also offers entertainment options with its built-in FM tuner with RDS, minijack auxiliary input, and Bluetooth stereo A2DP music streaming. Parrot's SuperBass and Stereo Widening effects improve the bass response and stereo separation of your music.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Pairing the unit with my cell phone (Motorola Z9) was easy. The stored phone numbers in my phone were automatically downloaded into the Parrot unit. Stereo MP3 sound quality is very good. The SK4000 remote control can also skip forward and backward MP3 music tracks stored on the phone. There is no other helmet unit, that I know of, that can do this. The stereo radio picks up most of the stations in my town, but not all. The radio reception is not as good as a car radio. The radio sound quality is pretty good but again, not as good as a car radio. After installing the speakers, the volume was not very loud. I then moved the speakers down more so they were better centered over my ears and it made a dramatic increase in volume. The automatic volume control does not work very well. It does not seem to be consistent. The volume can be at a good level at a stop, then it will increase the faster I go as wind noise increases. But when I return to a stop, the volume goes way too low and I have to manually turn it back up. Phone sound quality is good. I have not tested the phone at high speeds. All calls have been done below 45mph. The buttons on SK4000 handlebar remote don't always work. Sometimes I press a button (any button) and nothing happens. The problem is intermittent - the buttons work correctly about 80% of the time. Because of this, I am returning the unit for a replacement. This unit has the new version 1.14 software.
