Overview

Our take on the Precision Interface Electronics RCA-iPD

The RCA-iPD cable from Precision Interface Electronics lets you connect your iPod or iPhone® to any factory or aftermarket car stereo with an RCA auxiliary input. You'll need to hardwire the cable's power and ground leads to provide charging capability. Once you've done that, you can charge and listen to your iPod through your car stereo simply by connecting the cable's dock connector to your iPod and its male stereo RCA connectors to your stereo's RCA auxiliary input. You can enjoy your favorite music on the go and keep your iPod charged as you drive.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this to go in my Polaris RZR (side by side ATV) along with a marine amp. It worked great and charges the iPod while listening to music. Excellent product. A little expensive for what it is but I don't blame Crutchfield. Apple tends to think very highly of their products and over charge for everything. But with that said I would highly recommended this product if you want an iPod connection that charges at the same time. Easy to install and worked perfectly. Instillation was as easy as connecting the two RCA cables to the amp and grounding the Black wire to the Frame. The red (hot) wire I ran through a switch so I could turn it off and it wouldn't drain my battery.
