The sixth generation iPod touch offers all the wireless connectivity of its predecessors — with a little something extra under the hood. Of course it has built-in Bluetooth, so you can wirelessly stream music to any Bluetooth-enabled speaker. And it has built-in Wi-Fi so you can access the Internet through your home network and surf the web, stream videos, and enjoy music services such as Pandora and Spotify.
But this iPod touch also boasts improved processing power. A powerful A8 chip combined with an M8 motion coprocessor ensures screens refresh faster, web pages load more promptly, and the device is more responsive for gaming.
The improved processors also make a big difference in the photos and videos you take with the rear-facing 8-megapixel camera. Automatic face detection and single-touch focus help you get the best shot possible or you can also shoot in burst mode to capture the action. You can also shoot in panorama mode and geotag your photos though the Wi-Fi connection.
The front-facing HD camera is for more than just taking selfies. You can use it with FaceTime, which lets you video chat with friends through their compatible Apple portables.
You can record high-definition 1080p video with the iPod touch. And with cinematic video stabilization, you can ensure footage shot on-the-go will look its best. When the iPod touch is connected via Wi-Fi®, you can geotag your clips, too. Ready to get artistic? You can record slo-mo video at 120 frames per second, or shoot time-lapse video.
With Apple's Siri voice-recognition software, you can control your iPod touch hands-free – great for in-car use. Ask for sports scores, schedule a reminder, or get restaurant recommendations (then make a reservation). Dictate messages, update your Facebook status, even tweet using your voice.
The iTunes® store offers over 1.3 million apps, so you can really customize your device. But with that many choices, it's easy to get overwhelmed. So the iPod touch comes loaded with some pretty handy apps to get you started, including weather, voice recorder, Safari web browser, calendar, and more. You'll even find a Game Center app that lets you play popular games with people all over the world.
The iPod touch uses Apple AirPlay to expand your entertainment options. Want room-filling sound? Stream music from your player wirelessly to an AirPlay-compatible home theater receiver or powered speaker system. And you can also stream from music apps like Pandora® Internet radio and Spotify®, too.
If you have an Apple TV®, you can do even more. AirPlay Mirroring reproduces exactly what's on the screen of your iPod touch on your HDTV's large screen, via the Apple TV. So everyone in the room can enjoy that video, photo slideshow, or even the game you're playing.
The iPod touch comes with iTunes® pre-installed, so you can immediately access music, TV shows, and movies you've purchased from the iTunes store. Plus it comes with an Apple Music service app. With your subscription, you can access over 30 million songs and enjoy totally customizable radio stations.

Easy to use and makes the long airplane trips much more enjoyable.
Great product and seller
I purchased this ipod because I needed a newer operating system than my older 32k ipod in order to get the Amazon music app. It works great and i was able to download the music app with no problem. It performs great streaming music from my library.
Pros: Easy to use.
Got this to replace a nano. Much more impressive.
Pros: slim, attractive
it is something great!
Very small and light and easy to use
Pros: Small and light and easy to use.
Cons: Wish it has better camera
Great product! I really like this phone, it's the perfect size.
I purchased this as a birthday present for my wife. She loves it.
Very good product; however not sure whether all the other applications are necessary, especially for people who want it for music.
FIRST of all, this is NOT simply "an MP3 player." For the common/casual gift giver, understand that this device does ALL THIS: mp3 player music videos player movies player (from home videos, to the ones you shoot on this phone, to hollywood/commercial movies) video games player (play all kinds of games - there are thousands to choose from, many are free or low cost from itunes) music creator (make your own music in Garageband app) movie editor (using the imovie app) high quality camera (both for pictures and making videos) all kinds of accessories exist for this (note - you CAN use the 5th gen cases for this ipod as it is the same exact size but this 6th gen is far more powerful with a far more powerful, newer, chip and far better camera) other important features: THIN and super LIGHT weight so it can easily be carried around MINI COMPUTER! yep, you can do things like type a document on here using the included 'notes' app or download similar apps that are either free or very low cost. you can also surf the web on here using wi-fi at starbucks or similar outings or obviously at home. all of these features make it so much more than just "an mp3 player." this is one of the best devices you can purchase in its category that is not a cellphone.
Great! As expected on ipod.
This is the fourth iPod Touch I've owned. The others have succumbed to various problems--screen dying, unable to take a charge, headphone jack failure--after a few years of use. I've owned this one for only a couple months, so I can't comment on its durability, though it does seem to hold a charge longer than previous generations. But I appreciate the consistency of design from year to year, and the setup is a snap. I listen mostly to spoken content so I can't really speak to audio quality.
Pros: Ease of setup and use, intuitive operation, lots of apps
Cons: Cost--Unlike some of the other reviewers, I think Apple charges a lot for what is basically an MP3 player.
What can I say? It is an Apple Product. Very Reliable OS. This was a gift for my Son's birthday. He loves it. He is able to look up information on the web and play games. I didn't want him to have a phone yet, so the ipod touch gives him all of the features without the phone. It is an excellent device for him to have while he is in the car and at home when he need to look up how to videos on You Tube.
Pros: versatile and reliable.
Cons: None that I can think of. It meets all of my expectations.
Best price on the web!
Got my new 16GB iPod touch from Crutchfield quickly. I had an old 120GB classic iPod and was ready to get something much newer. This iPod touch allows me to do much more than my old classic to include Pandora so I don't have to download a lot of songs directly onto it. Cool Apps, Facetime (which I never had). Thank you Crutchfield for bringing me into the present. LOL
Pros: Has everything I need.
I've always been a fan of the ipod so i purchased as a gift. Pretty much everything i expected of it.
My review about this product ?it is 3....no more than that
Pros: I have had much better product ...ipod classic is my thing
Cons: Everything, I don't like, thought was better...
I was searching every site possible for an iPod touch for my son for Christmas. Nobody would ship to Guam, until I came across Crutchfield. I had never heard of the store before, but I'm grateful I found it. They not only has the iPod for a good price (lots of places tried to double the price) but they shipped out out fast. It took longer than what was estimated, but most things do due to where I live, so I wasn't surprised and can't fault them for that. My son loves his iPod, and the features are great. The camera takes excellent photos! I couldn't tell you much more as my son has barely let it out of his grasp, but we have no complaints.
Very happy with my purchase.
Works great, It does everything with ease. Plenty of app's to do everything i can think of. Definitely would buy another.
Pros: It does everything with ease, fast and has good battery life.
Cons: I don't see any yet.
Wanted gb touch but store only had 16gb.More selection would have been great.
Amazing iPod. Only downfall is not enough space for all music.
Pros: Lots of features, tons of apps.
Cons: Not enough storage space. Max 3500 songs on average 4min songs.
I have had a succession of iPod Mini's, and Nano's and lastly a 160G iPod Classic. The Touch is a different animal. It has the Bluetooth and internet access. I bought a Bluetooth speaker to go with it and the combo goes with me everywhere. with Internet access I can get iHeart radio and can listen to dozens of news and talk radio stations; local or all over the country and without the static! Also, I sample new music on the "radio" function and if I like it I can purchase the singles I like. I am still playing with all the features, but wireless bluetooth and internet access make this gadget much more useful than "traditional" iPods.
Pros: The Bluetooth broadcast and internet access to apps like iHeart radio, Maps, weather, the camera, mail, among others make this an indispensable gadget to have.
Cons: The 16G is a little limited as far as storage, (compared to my 160G Classic). I have to make tough choices and cannot carry all the apps (I want but not necessarily need) all the time. also I still miss the "wheel" of the classic; I could pick up and scroll through without turning on the lights in the middle of the night.

A8 Chip w/ 64-Bit Architecture & M8 Motion Coprocessor: Apple's iPod Touch (6th gen) features an A8 chip built on second-generation 64-bit desktop-class architecture. Its incredible power is enhanced by an M8 motion coprocessor that efficiently measures your activity from advanced sensors, including a new barometer. Now you can do more, for longer periods of time, with better performance and battery life.
Stylish Design: The iPod touch (6th gen) has a super-thin (0.25"), lightweight (3.1oz) aluminum body and comes in multiple colors. The iPod touch (6th gen) is made from a single-piece anodized aluminum, just like Apple's MacBook line-up. It features a super-smooth finish and polished beveled edges for better look and feel. The iPod touch (6th gen) colors are incredibly rich and vibrant because they're bonded right to the aluminum for a saturated color that still lets the luster of the metal shine through.
Retina Multi-Touch Display: The new 4.0" Retina widescreen display (1136 x 640) got taller, but not wider. That means everything you do on the iPod touch (6th gen) can remain a one-handed operation. The display is also more advanced, with finger-friendly Multi-Touch technology built into the glass instead of beneath it. Thanks to the Retina display, everything you see and do on the iPod touch (6th gen) looks amazing. That's because the Retina display's pixel density (326 pixels per inch) is so high your eye is unable to distinguish individual pixels. Which means images in games, movies, and photos are sharper and clearer. Text in books, web pages, and email is crisp at any size. And the new display is a perfect widescreen fit for your HD movies and TV shows because now you can watch them all without letterboxing.
Dual Orientation: You can view the Internet, videos, photos, or album art in either a portrait or landscape orientation. The display automatically changes when you change the orientation of the iPod touch (6th gen). The display can be oriented vertically or horizontally by rotating the iPod touch (6th gen).
Touch-Controls: Unlike previous iPods, the iPod touch (6th gen) does not have the traditional Click-Wheel control. There are only three buttons on the unit: the top-mounted Sleep/Wake button, the side mounted volume control, and the "Home" button just below the screen. All of the other controls involve touch (6th gen) screen commands. You can drag your finger up or down the screen to scroll through lists. Flicking your finger on the screen allows you to scroll quickly. As lists are scrolling you can tap or touch (6th gen) the screen to stop the scrolling. Once the scrolling has stopped, you can tap an item in the list to select it. There is also a "back" button on the screen in the upper left corner showing the name of the previous list. You can tap the button to go back to it. While viewing photos, you can zoom in and out by double-tapping the screen, or using a pinching out or pinching in motion with two fingers.
Accelerometer: The accelerometer inside iPod touch (6th gen) allows it to detect when you rotate the iPod touch (6th gen) from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display. The accelerometer really shines when you play games, because it immerses you in the action. It's perfect for racing games, where your entire iPod touch acts as a steering wheel, and for tap-and-tilt games such as Rolando, in which your movements control the action.
Home Screens: The Home screen is where you will find all your apps and folders. You can have up to 11 Home screens and browse them with a flick of your finger. To launch an app or open a folder, just tap it. And even if you are in the middle of playing a game, you can get to any app easily by pressing the Home button. Press it once to go back to the last Home screen you were on. Press it again to return to your main Home screen. Whenever you download an application from the App Store, a new icon appears on the Home screen.
Customize Home Screens: You can customize the layout of icons on the touch (6th gen) Home Screen including the Dock icons along the bottom of the screen. You can also add links to your favorite web-pages on the unit's Home Screen. You are able to move apps around, group them into a folder, or add them to another Home Screen for quick access to the games and applications you download from the App Store and to your Safari web clips. You can create up to 11 customizable screens to choose from when you use the iPod touch (6th gen). The number of dots at the bottom of the screen show the number of screen you have and indicates which screen you are viewing.
Folders: The Folders feature gives you an easy way to keep your apps organized and de-clutter the Home screens on the iPod touch (6th gen). You can put up to 12 icons in a single folder. The iPod touch (6th gen) automatically names a folder when you create it, based on the icons you use to create the folder, but you can change the name anytime you want. Like icons, folders can be rearranged by dragging them around the Home Screen. You can also move folders to a new Home Screen or to the bottom of the screen next to the Docked icons.
Spotlight Search: The Spotlight Search function allows you to search the entire contents of the iPod touch (6th gen), all from one place. On the main Home Screen, just swipe to the right to bring up the Spotlight feature. Once you start typing, the Spotlight feature begins searching all of your music, videos, contacts, email, calendars, notes, and even your audiobooks and podcasts.
Cut, Copy & Paste: The touchscreen makes it easy to make changes to text you have entered. An onscreen magnifying glass helps you position the insertion point precisely where you need it. Grab-points on selected text let you quickly select more or less text. You can also cut, copy, and paste text and photos within apps, or across multiple apps.
Zoom & Magnify: Zoom on the iPod touch (6th gen) lets you magnify the entire screen of any application. You can zoom up to 5x normal size and move left, right, up, and down to view any portion of the screen up close. Zoom works everywhere, including the Home, Unlock, and Search screens, and with every app you purchase from the App Store.
White-on-Black: Use White on Black to invert the colors on the iPod touch (6th gen) display, which may make it easier to read the screen. The screen looks like a photographic negative when White-on-Black is turned on.
Wallpaper: You can set an image or photo as wallpaper for the device's Lock Screen. On the iPod touch (6th gen) you can also set wallpaper for your Home Screen. You can choose an image that came with the iPod touch (6th gen), or a photo synced to the iPod touch (6th gen) from your computer.
On-screen Keyboard With Dictionary: You can use the on-screen keyboard to enter text, such as contact information. The intelligent keyboard automatically suggests corrections as you type to help prevent mistyped words. The On-screen Keyboard can be viewed in horizontal or vertical orientation. The iPod touch (6th gen) offers keyboard & dictionary support for English, French, Spanish, and numerous other languages. For ease of typing, you can use an Apple Wireless Bluetooth enabled Keyboard (sold separately from Apple).
Front-Panel 1.2MP Camera: On the front of the iPod touch (6th gen) is a built-in 1.2MP camera that is perfect for making FaceTime video-calls and shooting self-portraits. The front camera has been tuned specifically for FaceTime and self-portraits. It has just the right field of view and focal length to focus on your face at arm's length, so it always presents you in the best possible light. The front-panel camera supports HD video up to 720p (30 fps).
Rear-Panel 8MP iSight Camera: The rear-panel 8MP iSight camera offers a brand new sensor with Focus Pixels, improved face detection, and exposure control. So you can take the photo and let iPod touch (6th gen) do the rest. The iSight camera doesn't only take great photos. It lets you shoot stunning 1080p HD video at 60 fps, capture more dramatic slo-mo video, and for the first time, create time-lapse videos. Continuous autofocus provides constant focus as you capture your footage. And cinematic video stabilization keeps your shots steady, even when you're not.
Video & Photo Tagging: If you have a WiFi connection and the location services feature is turned on, photos and videos are tagged with location data. You can use this location data with some apps and photo-sharing websites to track and post where you took the photos.
Viewing Recorded Images: The photos and videos you take with the iPod touch (6th gen) are saved in the Camera Roll album on the device. You can view the Camera Roll album from either camera.
Trimming Videos: You can trim the frames from the beginning and end of a video that you just recorded, or any other video in the Camera Roll album. You can replace the original video or save the trimmed version as a new video clip.
Uploading Images: You can upload the photos and videos you take with the iPod touch (6th gen) to photo applications on your PC or Mac.
Built-in Microphone: The iPod touch (6th gen) features a built-in rear-panel microphone. During video recording, the built-in microphone records conversations, music, or any audio at the same time. The microphone also allows you to carry on your side of the conversation during FaceTime.
Built-In Speaker: The iPod touch (6th gen) features an integrated speaker behind its touch-screen panel for listening to your music, movies, & video-calls. There are volume controls along the left side of the unit. When a pair of headphones are plugged into the unit's 3.5mm headphone port, the built-in speaker is muted.
Built-in WiFi: The iPod touch (6th gen) has built-in WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac; 2.4/5GHz) that allows you to wirelessly connect to the Internet. iPod touch (6th gen) can join AirPort other WiFi networks at home, at work, or at WiFi hotspots around the world. The iPod touch (6th gen) locates nearby wireless hotspots, including protected networks. When joined to a WiFi network that is connected to the Internet, the iPod touch (6th gen) connects to the Internet automatically whenever you use Mail, Safari, YouTube, FaceTime, Game Center, Stocks, Maps, Weather, the App Store, or iTunes. If you have never used a particular network, it asks you to enter a password the first time, and it remembers the password from then on. So the next time you are within range, it connects automatically.
Note: Many WiFi networks can be used free of charge, however some WiFi networks require a fee. You can usually open Safari to see a webpage that allows you to sign up for service if charges are required.
AirPlay: Apple's AirPlay technology allows music to be streamed wirelessly from the iPod touch (6th gen) to an AirPlay enabled audio device, on the same WiFi network. You can even stream photos & videos to an Apple TV (sold separately). This eliminates the need to have to dock the iPod touch (6th gen).
Safari Web Browser: Apple's Safari web browser is built right into the iPod touch (6th gen), giving you full access to the Internet. You can also sync your bookmarks on your computer. You can search the web using the touch (6th gen) screen keyboard to type in the URLs, including a "dot com" button for quicker browsing. Once you have reached a website, you can zoom in and out and pan up, down, left, or right with the tap or drag of a finger on the multi-touch (6th gen) display. You can have up to eight web-pages open at a time. You can even bookmark web-pages so that you can quickly return to them at any time without having to type the address. In addition, you can add Web Clips for you favorite web-pages to the iPod touch's (6th gen) Home screen for faster access.
iTunes Store: The iPod touch (6th gen) gives you access to the online iTunes Store, which enables you to browse and purchase music, movies, and apps - all on the go.
Genius Recommendations for Apps: There are over 700,000 apps in the App Store, with more added every day. A new feature of the iPod touch (6th gen) makes finding new apps even easier. It is Genius for apps, and it works just like Genius for your music. Tap the Genius icon and get recommendations for apps that you might like based on apps you and others have downloaded.
iCloud: iCloud automatically and securely stores your content over the Internet so it's always available to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch (6th gen), Mac, or PC. It gives you access to your music, apps, latest photos, and more from whichever device you happen to be using. And it keeps your email, contacts, and calendars up to date across all your devices. No syncing or management required. iCloud secures your content by encrypting it when sent over the Internet, storing it in an encrypted format, and using secure tokens for authentication.
Note: Automatic downloads and downloading previous purchases require iOS 4.3.3 or later on iPhone 3GS or later, iPod touch (3rd/4th generation) or iPad/iPad 2; iOS 5 on iPhone 4 (CDMA model); or a Mac/PC with iTunes 10.3.1 or later. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.
Contacts: You can use the iPod touch (6th gen) and iTunes to sync contacts to automatically keep your contacts up-to-date, whether you make changes on your computer or on the iPod touch (6th gen). You can sync contacts with applications such as MobileMe, and Yahoo! Address Book on a Mac, or with Yahoo! Address Book, Windows Address Book (Outlook Express), or Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync contacts on your computer with more than one application. On a PC, you can sync contacts with only one application.)
Mail: The iPod touch (6th gen) can send and receive embedded photos, videos, and graphics, as well as view PDFs and other attachments (JPEG/GIF/TIFF). The Mail features works with MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, and many of the most popular email systems; including Yahoo!, Google, and AOL, as well as other industry-standard POP3 and IMAP email systems. You can sync email account settings from Mail on a Mac and from Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010 on a PC. Changes you make to an email account on the iPod touch (6th gen) don't affect the account on your computer.
Note: You must have an email address which looks like "firstname.lastname@example.org" to use iPod touch (6th gen) for email. If you have Internet access, you most likely have an email address from your Internet service provider. Email accounts are available from most Internet service providers.
FaceTime: FaceTime on the iPod touch (6th gen) lets you see & talk with friends from one iPod touch (6th gen) to another iPod touch (4th/6th gen), or iPhone (4+) over WiFi using the device's integrated camera, microphone, and speaker. You can use the front camera to talk face-to-face. Your FaceTime conversation is carried over the device's built-in microphone and built-in speaker, or included headphones. To make a FaceTime call, choose someone from your contacts, favorites, or list of recent calls. Buttons at the bottom of the FaceTime screen give you quick access to all three. While talking to someone in FaceTime, you can change camera orientation, mute your microphone, move your picture-in-picture display, open another application, and finally, end your call.
Note: To sign in to FaceTime, you need an Apple ID. If you already have an iTunes Store account, MobileMe account, or other Apple account, you can use that Apple ID with FaceTime. If you don't have an Apple account, you can create a new one when you open FaceTime. FaceTime may not be available in all countries or regions.
iMessage: Using the Messages app and the built-in iMessage service, you can send unlimited text messages over WiFi to other iOS and OS X Mountain Lion users. Messages can include photos, videos, and other info. You can see when other people are typing, and notify them when you've read their messages. iMessages are displayed on all of your iOS devices logged in to the same account, so you can start a conversation on one of your devices, and continue it on another device. Messages are encrypted for security.
Notification Center: You can get all kinds of notifications on the iPod touch (6th gen); such as new email, texts, friend requests, and more. With Notification Center, you can keep track of them all in one convenient location. Simply swipe down from the top of any screen to enter Notification Center and choose which notifications you want to see. Even see a stock ticker and the current weather. New notifications appear briefly at the top of your screen, without interrupting what you're doing. And the Lock screen displays notifications so you can act on them with just a swipe. Notification Center is the best way to stay on top of your life's breaking news.
Facebook: Now it's easier than ever to interact with the world's largest social network. And there's no need to leave your app to do it. Share a photo to Facebook right from Camera or Photos. Post your location right from Maps. Brag about a high score right from Game Center. If you have your hands full, just ask Siri to post for you. You need to sign in to Facebook only once, and you'll be off and sharing. Never miss another birthday or get-together, since Facebook events are integrated into Calendar. And your Facebook friends' profile information is integrated into Contacts, so when they update an email address or phone number you automatically stay up to date.

You are even able to zoom in for a closer look and pan through the on-screen map image. You can use the Map feature to find your current approximate location, get detailed driving directions, and/or see current highway traffic conditions, as well as find businesses in the area in certain parts of the country (where applicable).
Newstand: The iPod touch (6th gen) organizes your magazine and newspaper app subscriptions in "Newsstand"; a folder that lets you access your favorite publications quickly & easily. There's also a new place on the App Store just for newspaper & magazine subscriptions. And you can get to it straight from Newsstand. New purchases go directly to your Newsstand folder. Then, as new issues become available, Newsstand automatically updates them in the background; complete with the latest covers.
iBooks: iBooks is a great way to read and buy books. Download the free iBooks app from the App Store, and then get everything from classics to best sellers from the built-in iBookstore. Once you download a book, it's displayed on iPod touch's (6th gen) on-screen bookshelf. You can add ePub and PDF books to your bookshelf using iTunes.
Calendar: The iPod touch's (6th gen) Calendar gives you immediate access to your calendars and events. You can view individual calendars, or several calendars at once. You can view your events by day, by month, or in a list. You can search the titles, invitees, locations, and notes of events. If you have entered birthdays for your contacts, you can view those birthdays in the Calendar. You can sync the iPod touch (6th gen) with the calendars on your computer, and with services such as MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo!, and Google. You can also make, edit, or cancel appointments on the iPod touch (6th gen) and have them sync back to your computer or calendar account. If you have a MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Google, Yahoo!, or CalDAV account, your calendars can sync over the air without connecting the iPod touch (6th gen) to your computer. You can view the iPod touch's (6th gen) calendar in one of three views.
Weather: The iPod touch (6th gen) gives you current weather conditions and a six-day forecast in your hometown or around the world. You can store your favorite cities for quick weather reports anytime.

Music Storage Capacity: This iPod touch has a built-in 16GB flash drive, capable of storing up to 3,500 songs (4-minute song average--recorded in AAC format at 128 kbps). The 16GB flash memory will not skip, regardless of activity level.
Audio Formats: The iPod touch (6th gen) supports the following audio formats: AAC (8-320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Music Store), HE-AAC, MP3 (8-320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2/3/4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX/+), Apple Lossless, WAV, and AIFF. When you import music from a CD using iTunes, it is converted to AAC format by default.
Note: If you are using iTunes for Windows, you can convert non-protected WMA files to AAC or MP3 format.
iTunes Radio: With iTunes Radio, you can play, create, and customize streaming music stations from the best selection of songs online for free. With so many different options to choose from, you'll find there's always something good playing on your iPod touch (6th gen).
Podcast, Audiobooks & iTunes U Collections: The iPod touch (6th gen) supports the download and playback of Podcasts, iTunes U, and Audiobooks.
Auto Music Syncing: By default, the iPod touch (6th gen) is set to sync all songs and playlists when you connect it to your computer. This is the simplest way to add music to the iPod touch (6th gen). You just connect the iPod touch (6th gen) to your computer, let it add songs, audiobooks, photos, and other items automatically, and then disconnect it and go. If you added any songs to iTunes since the last time you connected your iPod touch (6th gen), they will be synced with your iPod touch (6th gen). If you deleted songs from iTunes, they are removed from your iPod touch (6th gen).
Note: Setting iTunes to sync selected playlists to iPod touch (6th gen) is useful if the music in your iTunes library does not all fit on your iPod touch (6th gen). Only the music in the playlists you select is synced to your iPod touch (6th gen).
Browsing Music: You can browse content on the iPod touch (6th gen) by playlists, artists, songs, videos, and other categories, or browse your album artwork using Cover Flow. Playlist folders, which you can sync from iTunes, let you organize playlists into groups.
Playlists: You can use the iPod touch (6th gen) preset playlists or create your own playlists of songs, podcasts, and audiobooks. Playlists you create on the iPod touch (6th gen) are synced back to iTunes the next time you connect.
Genius: Genius finds songs in your iTunes library that go great together and uses them to create Genius playlists and Genius Mixes. Genius playlists and Genius Mixes created in iTunes can be synced to the iPod touch (6th gen) like any other iTunes playlist.
