Overview: The Petnet SmartFeeder is a Wi-Fi enabled pet food dispenser that lets you control when and how much food your pet gets. With the Petnet Mobile App, available for iOS and Android, you can schedule your pet's meals, choose their food portions, and receive alerts that your pet has been fed. Integration with Amazon Alexa lets you control SmartFeeder with your voice. SmartFeeder is designed for cats or small-to-medium sized dogs, and includes a stainless steel bowl with a holder that keeps it in place under the dispenser. The included ramp helps the food slide down toward the bowl more easily to prevent clogging.
Design: SmartFeeder's top-loading hopper lets you store up to 7 pounds of dry food. It has a locking lid to keep the food fresh, and prevent your pet from "breaking in" to get a snack. When feeding time comes, SmartFeeder releases the food portion through the bottom of the hopper and into the stainless steel bowl. The food portion is set up ahead of time in the Petnet Mobile app. The SmartFeeder provides feedback to the app to alert you that a feeding has taken place, and how much food remains in the hopper.
Petnet Mobile App: The Petnet SmartFeeder connects to your home's Wi-Fi router (802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz). Using the Petnet Mobile App you can control and monitor your pet's meals right on your smartphone. You can schedule the number of feedings per day, and portion sizes of from 1/16 cup to 1-1/2 cups, based upon recommendations corresponding with your pet's age, weight, and activity level. (The food should be 1/8" to 5/8" in diameter for best results.) After each feeding, you'll receive an alert on your smartphone. The app will alert you when the food in the hopper is getting low. The app enables you to feed your pet manually whenever you desire. The Petnet Mobile App works with iPhone and iPad running iOS 8.2 or later, and Android smartphones or tablets running version 4.4 and up.
3rd Party Integration: The SmartFeeder features integration with Amazon Alexa and Nest Cam. With Amazon Alexa you can dispense food to your pet just by using your voice. The SmartFeeder responds by dispensing the requested amount of food. If you want to know your pet's welfare, and whether they are eating while you're away, you can integrate Nest Cam with the SmartFeeder. Using Nest Cam, you can monitor your pet's feeding habits through live streaming or uploaded photographs on the Petnet Mobile App.
Cleaning: Only the Stainless Steel Bowl Insert and the Food Hopper are dishwasher safe. All other parts can be cleaned with a warm damp towel. You should frequently wipe off the feeder portion wheel at the bottom of the hopper to remove residue and oils. This prevents food from sticking to the wheel and causing clogs.
Power Options: The Petnet SmartFeeder is powered by the supplied USB cable and AC adapter. The feeder and bowl feature a rechargeable battery that provides 7-hour backup power in case of a power outage.

Love it so far!!!! I don't get woken up anymore from a hungry kitty!!!! Love the app so I can see she was fed. I was hoping to use this when traveling to avoid boarding kitty, but haven't solved the litter challenge yet. But still worth it to not be woken up every morning!!!!
